Wasn't bad; Creative combination. I ordered the pineapple fajitas with bacon, chicken and steak. Wouldn't have ever seen this offered on a menu prior but, the onions, peppers and pineapple pair really nice together. Once again I ordered takeout so I couldn't experience the whole restaurant and work atmosphere. It was a few extra tortillas and that's a delight. Everything else was mid; Rice, Beans, Guacamole, Sour Cream and Salad read more

The food is pretty good. Service is sporadic, you never know what you're gonna get. I don't know if it's good or bad but it's a little different from all the other Mexican places. read more

My son is not a big eater. Instead of ordering a large amount of food & throwing it out (thus wasting money) he wanted to order a kids meal. He was with a group of people so it's not like that was the only meal at the table. The staff gave him a problem & did not want to allow him to order it! The manager was called & had to give permission. I understand this is a college town however would you rather see food wasted or food eaten? I order kids meals when I'm out from time to time & have never had an issue. Remember the customer is always right & bad review travels farther than a good one! read more

Went for lunch today and enjoyed a delicious meal. They weren't very busy which is a shame, as I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and service they offered. Everyone was friendly and attentive, the portions were good for the price, the flavors were great, and the options in the menu had what I always look for. Keep up the good work! read more

El Veracruz - Quesadilla Grande and the necessary accompaniment of chips, salsa, queso, and bean dip. - Mexican Near Me - Starkville, Mississippi

I was up-charged for wanting to order chicken tenders on the kids menu, I get it's kids only but no other restaurant in the area gate keeps its food like that, and what if someone doesn't want to burn there wallet on a super expensive meal? read more

Second time coming here, the server was really attentive, brought back extra salsa and chips, filled our water glasses multiple times. I got the fiesta fajitas with no shrimp and they were quite good! I recommend them. read more

Went here a for a fourth time! It was good as always, got the beef fajitas, and tacos with rice and beans, so good! Service was amazing! Got busy around 6:30. El Veracruz - The best - Mexican Near Me - Starkville, Mississippi

We heard this Mexican was good so we gave it a shot. So far, all of the Mexican restaurants in the town all taste the same and same menu. El Veracruz had a creative extensive menu. We al enjoyed our meals of shrimp quesadillas, beef and chicken enchilada, and chicken verde tacos. The service was great and the food was fresh. Highly recommend this place for a great Mexican meal that isn't the same ole' thing read more

Food and service was excellent if you want authentic Mexican food they have that option on their menu.

Solid Mexican food at a very good price. Drink specials are good and the margarita was very good. We will be back!

Best Mexican food in Starkville, hands down. Amazing service.... They go out of their way please and are so very friendly. My new go-to Mexican. read more

I stopped eating Mexican food months ago because I simply couldn't find a good place in my town. On a visit to my Starkville, my daughter suggested we eat here after church. Great choice. The food was fresh, delicious, and didn't have that usual "greasy taste" that you find in most Mexican places. Great staff, they brought our food out very quickly. Will definitely visit next time I'm in town read more

Honestly the best Mexican place in Starkville. The quesadillas are all delicious and very filling, and the salsa is amazing, even better than casa bravos. Watch out for the margaritas though, they're a little strong! In a good way haha read more

Good Mexican food. Waited a while on a table but the food was good. I would like to go back

Unauthentic and unappetizing. Horrible, processed, mission tortillas served with food. These tortillas are notorious for plaguing every mexican restaurant. How can a place operated by Mexicans serve these terrible tortillas? It's so low effort but it works because people don't know what good mexican food is. (I am Mexican) read more

I love eating here the service is always super fast. Great Margaritas and Great food. We always order the flour tortilla chips!!

The food was okay, but the waitress stressed me out. She was constantly trying to take plates and drinks, even asked about bringing the check before we even had all of our food. On a Monday. At 5:30. They had plenty of open seats. There was no need to rush us. Most unrelaxing dinner I have had in quite some time. read more

The chips they bring out first were excellent-very freshly fried and the service and food were also excellent. Would have given it a five star had it not been for the flies. One fly I can understand, but me and my date killed a fly and another would show up until we, ourselves killed 3 fly's! That's not normal, must have a back door were they are coming in, but they have a problem! read more

Always great service and food. Love the dip and el Veracruz appetizer Hidden Starkville gem

Fantastic. Definitely will be back. Staff were attentive and kind. Prices were great for the amount and quality of the food. No complaints.

i'm giving one star solely because of our waiter Carlos. i went with my boyfriend and my best friend and not only did he hover over us the whole time we were there but when we ordered our drinks he acted like he wasn't going to bring them like trying to be funny but it was just annoying. the worst part is my friend ordered the sampler and he just brought her the same thing my boyfriend ordered. when she told him it was wrong he argued with her saying that she didn't order the sampler which she did. he then proceeded to make her pay for the sampler and the other meal he brought her and refused to take it off the tab. he told her it was her fault that he brought her the wrong thing. then as we are trying to finish eating after he brought the check he hovered over the table to try and force us into leaving a tip. the food and drinks were good but i won't be back because i never want this waiter again. read more
