We had my mom's 88th birthday lunch at Harvey's. This is basically fine dining for this area, so mom was very excited about it. We had more than 20 people so I made group reservation and signed their contract about 2 months in advance. Relatively easy process although when I called about a month later they had not yet acknowledged the reservation which I had emailed per their instructions. Be forewarned they require a $150 deposit which they do not credit to your final bill unless 90% of your party is there within 15 mins of the reservation, and 90% of the the people show up. All explained in the contract, but I was still surprised when they did not credit the deposit to my $700 bill. How do you make 80-90 year old women show up within 15 mins of the appointed time? Also 4 people did not show up so I missed the 90% mark. Anyway the food was very good. No complaints at all. The servers handled our large party of 22 people skillfully and professionally. I'm still salty about them keeping the deposit. So I probably will not return as I think that could have been handled better from a customer service perspective. Like allowing me to order 4 entrees to take home, to make up the difference for the no-shows. read more

My family and I went into Harvey's in Columbus on Saturday May 9th and had an amazing experience from start to finish. It is not very often that we are all able to get together, due to us living in multiple states. We were greeted by an amazing hostess who had a smile on her face and a very welcoming personality. We were seated fast and received our drink order right away. We placed our order shortly after and the appetizers and main courses that we ordered were absolutely amazing! Our waitress's name was Lynn and she was amazing. It was several of us and she handled the size of our party and orders great. The assistant manager, David Allen, came by to see how our experience was going. David was so nice and caring, you can tell he truley wants everyone that enters through the doors to have an amazing food experience and prides himself on customer service. The food was amazing but the overall customer experience we received from the hostess/Lynn the waitress/ and David Allen the assistant manager really elevated the entire experience. So good! I got the New York strip and the Mac and cheese. Easily the best Mac and cheese I've had and the steak was yummy :) Love the aesthetic. Comfortable booth and good atmosphere. Food was good. Our steaks were good. The salad was so so , nothing much on them. The Italian dressing is not good at all . Ambiance was nice, it's nicely decorated inside. Service was lacking a lot !!! It was very obvious that the waiter did not like white people. We were polite, said thank you , please etc., not once did he reply back. In Columbus visiting a friend and we went to Harveys for his belated birthday dinner. I haven't been to this area in over 30 years so I wanted to eat local. We had reservations and were seated as soon as we checked in. Inside is cozy. It has a warm feel to it based on all the wood features. It's a great spot for a romantic dinner or somewhere to go with friends/family. Our server was nice but he was super busy due to the lack of employees present. But he did a good job. He even apologized for not being as attentive as he would have liked. I ordered the honey pepper salmon, which came with wild rice and asparagus. I subbed broccoli for the asparagus and due to a special they were running, I was able to get a side Caesar salad as well. My salmon was delicious! It had a slight kick but the filet was not dried out and I had plenty of the honey pepper sauce to float some of the rice in. The rice was good but it was made better due to the sauce. The broccoli was blah. I love broccoli and this was a let down. I should have stuck with the asparagus. The food and service is enough to have me return if I make it back to Columbus. read more
