What a treat this was! My husband is originally from the area, so when we were here visiting, he wanted to bring me here. I am so glad that he did! The service was fantastic. You walk up to the counter and order, and the ladies were very friendly. I ordered the Blitz and my husband got the White BBQ Chicken. You pick where you want to sit and they bring the food out to you. It was really quick and our server was so friendly. She periodically would come around asking if we needed anything, refills etc. My husband wolfed down his so quick so I am assuming it was great, I know mine was. The meant and cheese were fresh, and in good proportion to the bread. Veggies crisp and cold. That bread though! So light and crispy, it really made the sandwich. In town working and we had never been here so we decided to stop by. Initially, I was really impressed with the building, the cleanliness and the amount of space in here. Also, there is a good amount of patio seating. As for for food, there are a lot of sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads to pick from. I settled on the Southwest Wrap and a cup of potato soup for my side (89c) up charge...salad is $1.59 and I think the rest were free. The wrap was pretty big and I thought was really good. It was cold cut shredded chicken and a BBQ/ranch mix, corn, black beans, etc. Potato soup was cheesy, probably not homemade there and warmed up in the microwave, but it was pretty good. Forgot to mention, my guys also got chips and rotel for an appetizer, it was ok. Nothing to write home about, just ok. The only thing I didn't like about here is that it is one of those weird counter order places that brings your food to the table. A waitress came to the table to say she was serving us, but then disappeared. She didn't bring us our food. Someone else did. Then my drink sat empty for 10 minutes until I went to get up to refill it and the waitress came by to refill. I get confused about proper tipping etiquitte at places like this because I'm not sure if they are employees or waitresses depending on tips. Anyways food was pretty good. I'll be back. Think McAllister's but more boujee is what I tell people this place is. Food is really good and I haven't had a bad menu item yet. The staff are all super friendly. Once went with a family member and we decided to split a sandwich and get two sides. The lady who brought us our food double checked with me twice that I didn't order any food. When I explained what we were doing she said "oh! Let me bring you another plate then!!" I told her it was fine we could use what we had but she waved me off and brought me a small one anyway. Ordering was tricky but honestly I blame it on not being able to hear in that area. We ordered a club and got something else similar. It was great and we didn't complain. There wasn't a price difference and ingredients were all the same so we just went with it. Overall, the food is good for the price, the atmosphere is really decent, and the staff are super nice. Man. I really want to love this place. Sadly, it's not a mutual thing. Seemingly. I've been here 3-4 times and have tried 3 different sandwiches over time. Literally, one of them wasn't just awful. The first visit, I had the Alabama White BBQ Chicken and buddy, it's good that we're across state lines because this could probably get you run out of the state. The crawfish bisque I had in the same visit was also the worst crawfish bisque I've ever had. It was more akin to lobster bisque and that's just weird. The second visit was the best out of the three. I had the southern club and it was quite good but should've changed the bread choice. The shrimp nachos were also quite good. Tonight, I went back and after perusing their website trying to decide what to get, I chose the Chicken Mozz sandwich. It was easily the biggest rip off of a sandwich I've ever had. $10 for a sandwich that was 98% bread. It had 2oz of chicken, if that and maybe 6 slices of tiny pepperoni. I was so excited to get home with it only to be disappointed once I sat down. Heck, I'm still hungry! Had I dined in, I probably would've said something but alas, I got takeout. Also, within getting home not even five minutes alter, it was ice cold. Seeing a ton of food sitting in a, what appeared to be, a non-heated window just makes me wonder who else's food was cold? Stopped by Sweet Peppers Deli for lunch today, and got the pick two with loaded potato soup in a bread bowl and a Cesar salad. With that, a drink and a cookie the total was $12, so it's definitely reasonably priced! The soup was good, nothing to write home about...the bread bowl was French bread, not sour dough that I'm used to for a bread bowl, but again, it was good. We ordered at a counter then took and number to our table, and a waitress came by to let us know that she would be helping us. I only saw her one other time, asked for a drink refill and she was happy to help! Overall, I would return to Sweet Peppers when I'm back in town for a light lunch! read more

I went to Sweet Pepper last month for my first ever visit. I have to say I was totally blown away. My waiter, Luke B, recommended the cajun shrimp stuffed baked potato. He also recommended the white BBQ sauce to go with it. AMAZING! And the friendly service our waiter gave made the experience memorable for me. I had a large group, kids and adults, and he was able to keep all the orders straight and make sure our water was always full. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more
