Today was my second time going to this location (third time EVER going to any Jersey Mike's), and I again had a good experience that I think is worth noting. Yes, Jersey Mike's is a little pricey, but the food is amazing with even better service. I walked in there wanting to get something different from what I got last week, and the girl who took my order was so helpful and offered a specific sandwich that fit my mood. While they were making my sandwich, the staff was eager to answer questions and was prepared to give suggestions concerning, in this case, the pepper relish (which was great!). "Oh yeah that's really good and would go well with mayonnaise." She was right! Again, I don't know if Jersey Mike's is new to Starkville, but this place is amazing and my new favorite place to get a sandwich (former fave was Jimmy John's). Gas is not cheap, and I am a poor teacher. I mean seriously, just turn off the pickup times once you reach your limit for that time slot! * Missing items: Once, I drove all the way home only to discover that 20 items were missing from my order. No one offered an apology or resolution beyond a simple refund. Yet again, I live an hour away. Customer service suggested "Oh it's sitting right here. Just come back and get it." They truly acted as if it were my fault that the items were left out and I was inconveniencing them. (My bad. I guess I should have counted each individual item as we loaded them into my trunk-yes. WE. I always get out and help! * Poor product quality: The fresh produce I receive is often moldy or spoiled, which is unacceptable. Not once. Not twice. But every single time I order strawberries they are covered in fuzzy mold. * Customer service: The pickup employees are frequently rude and unhelpful, which only adds to the frustration. Three hours later (while I was at work) someone from the store called to inform me that my order was delivered to South Montgomery (on the other side of town - no where near my house). In their defense, they did ask if I wanted the order redone (by now I was no where near my house) and... nothing. I filed a complaint online and... nothing. No refund, no apology, nothing.
