In town for vacation and we stumbled upon this spot. We sat outside, and everything was extremely cute. We didn't enter the building but I'm sure it was great as well. The hostess and waitress were really nice and accommodating. Our waiter was extremely attentive which we really appreciated. I order a CJ's Cajon Combo. It came with snow crabs, baked oysters, shrimp, crab cake, and a side, I got the parm corn on the cob. The food was about a 3 out of 5. My friend sent her crab cake back because it was cold, however they corrected the issue with no problem. I enjoyed my snow crabs, crab cake, and corn. I feel my shrimp was slightly over cooked as well as my baked oysters. The cajon butter was really good. Overall not a bad experience. Cheap potatoes and pasta--why not make up for the small amount of crab meat with the ample side portion? Crab was mediocre. Clearly very old and pre-frozen. I came all the way from Arizona to come to this place because they had great reviews! The food is expensive on its own because you eat seafood obviously but it's not prepared like it is in the TikTok. It's not seeming hot. It's cold very cold. I had to get the manager to have them look at it never in my life have I been served cold seafood at a place that's right next to the ocean. Do not come here do not waste your money. There's plenty of other restaurants right next to it that serve delicious Hot seafood. I was told by the manager that this is how you serve it I don't care who you are or what you're running here, but I have Chef experience and I also have Chef in my family. You are never supposed to serve horses Rockefeller, unless it's served on the metal rack that it's baked on. Why would you take it off of there and then allow it to cool to the point where it's so cold it's not even delicious anymore. You've completely ruined your business. This place was very busy! We went here for dinner based on a recommendation from the front desk at the hotel and we are glad we did! You can sit outside or inside. We opted to enjoy the beautiful weather outside. Crab artichoke dip was great! I got the steak, shrimp, and crab with corn as my side. Steak was a little salty for my liking but it was cooked great! (Visited on 3/13/2020). In Miami for a long weekend on vacation and my friend said this place is somewhere I HAD to absolutely come. So, here we are and I'm going to tell you about it. Atmosphere/Appearance: I'd give this place 3.5 stars out of 4 if I could. I get all the hype about here. It's right on Ocean Drive on South Beach so the people watching, aura and ocean air are all huge factors in drawing people in. However, if you can't sit outside, inside is just fine. The dining room is pretty big and very simple. There isn't much décor and you actually don't miss it. Of course it was spring break weekend so the place was PACKED. It was a bit loud and rowdy, but I can't blame the restaurant for that, but rather the people. Lol. Service: Pretty straightforward. This place is super busy so you don't get the intimate service that you may get elsewhere. This is the kind of place you come with your friends, not to make friends with the staff. Lol. It's always busy here and they run around like crazy. Food: Straight. First off, I had the Drunken Shrimp. They are peel & eat shrimp steamed in beer and Cajun spices. These were VERY good. A bit spicy, lil' on the small side, but no matter. Next up I tried the fried Buffalo Wings (available grilled or fried) and I was disappointed. I should've known not to get wings at a seafood place, but that's my own fault. I won't even blame the restaurant for this. Lol. Value: It's a restaurant on South Beach, so we already know everything is overpriced, but you should know that before you come here. Lol. For $14.95 you get 10 pretty small-medium "Drunken Shrimp". If you order the wings you're going to spend $13.95 for 8 of them. So, make sure you set aside some money for vacation if you're coming to Miami. In conclusion, I probably shouldn't even be writing this review because... I didn't have any crab! Lol. I mean, that's what this place is "known" for, so I should've gone with that. I just ain't feel like cracking crab and stuff. I have faith in the other dishes here, but I don't think I'll be coming back unless asked to. My husband and I just had lunch here, he ordered the cheeseburger and fries and I had the snow crab with corn on the cob. We were greeted nicely and seated quickly, drinks and order was taken promptly. My husband was disappointed in the cheeseburger size commenting how small the patty was for the price, tasted fine though. He said the fries were good. With all the potential of being a 5* establishment, the seafood quality (on our night) was terrible. It started out fine with our immediate service and order of a Mango Daiquiri which we shared and enjoyed very much. We sat street side with a view of the beach. Great location! Time to order dinner: my partner had the Snow Crab Dinner and I had the Fisherman's Platter. We shared a Garden Salad as appetizer which was a healthy portion however the cucumber were overly ripe and soft and inedible, Strike 1. Our dinners arrived and on plate they had a very nice presentation. One bite of the Crab Leg and it ended up back in the plate. The shell was too soft and the meat was not fresh. It did not smell fresh and smelled like it had been frozen and thawed a couple of times. She was not interested in moving past the first bite and lost her appetite. We called our waitress, who was very kind and understanding, to inform her of our experience. She offered to replace the dinner and my partner was not interested. We were not charged for the dinner. Strike 2. My dinner was another story. First, the crab cake is not what I expected. I've enjoyed crab cakes in many seafood restaurant made form the lump crab mixed and formed into a cake that is baked. I asked our waitress where is the crab cake? She pointed to a hard shell crab on my plate. She said that is your crab cake, a deep fried crab. Not what I would call a crab cake and immediately lost interest. Next, on to the shrimp. Overcooked, firm, dry and tasteless. One bite was all I needed to know I could not finish any more shrimp. Next, on to the fish. The small piece of fish was my dinner. It was moist and cooked properly without too much seasoning. The fish was the best part of both meals. My Fisherman's Platter, strike 3. Our waitress was kind and apologetic. We told her not your fault but to send a message to the kitchen. She offered to remove the dinners from our check, replace them with other dinners, or provide us drinks. We declined but offered to pay for my dinner since I did eat the fish. Declined the round of drinks as well. We decided not to dine anymore on Ocean Drive and to look elsewhere. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and the Crab Dip which were both phenomenal. My children ordered this Caesar salad, which barely came with any dressing and we had to ask for dressing three times before it was delivered to us. A few of them also ordered the Fish & Chips and the Fish & Shrimp. The Fish & Chips were completely overcooked and didn't have that normal flaky goodness.
