I actually liked the food and service at Tropicale better than their main restaurant Market. I sat at the bar and ordered a strawberry daiquiri. It was nicely made and quite delicious in FL weather. I also tried their lobster roll and french fries. Devoured it. Great flavor, fresh lobster with a bibb lettuce. The perfect size for lunch.

Not only was the food, staff, and the service amazing and friendly, the property was beautiful. I can specifically mention one thing that was memorable. While I was eating at one of the restaurants Tropicale, I believe it was the manager Ray or Raymond, but I briefly mentioned to him that I loved the house hot sauce that they had. He later surprises me with a bottle to take home and that little touch of kindness and thoughtfulness really made my trip and made my overall feeling about this property as positive.

Not to be confused with Yelp's other listing, the Tropical Cafe, this Tropicale is one of The Edition hotel's restaurants and only serves guests staying at the hotel (they will charge the food to your room). Lounging poolside or getting your tan on at the private beach? Order from their menu and they'll bring out your fresh fare in a covered sand-friendly container! All the food looked delicious and beautifully presented, and our lobster roll was tasty as well. The cute little lobster roll had a bit of unexpected heat with the ?peppers (pleasantly surprised), and it definitely hit the spot of an afternoon beach snack. It came with a large serving of fries and a bajillion packets of ketchup, Dijon mustard, and mayo (?!); the fries were a bit soggy probably from transport in a covered container but well seasoned. A little pricey, but you're paying a little extra for convenience (not to mention delicious food!). It does take a while for the food to come out, but check them out when you're getting some fun in the sun! :)

We loved this service. We had lunch by the pool at the cafe and the same place provides service by the beach. Great drinks, great snack, great lunch and great food! The fish tacos were a little spicy and I don't like corn tortillas. The basic menu options for adults were missing, the kids menu was perfect!

Pool side service is great! Very attentive staff. The mojitos were refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day, some of the best I've ever had - they had a slushee texture. The sesame chicken bites are a must order, and the French Fries were amazing. Not impressed by the chicken fingers, which came with the vegetable kind of chips instead of fries. They were good but tasted like Dino nuggets - usually hotels have really good chicken fingers so I was a little disappointed

Rent a big beach bed for the day and get amazing snacks, lunch, and drinks. Don't have to leave the beach all day!

We stopped in mid-afternoon for a late lunch and were greeted right away. The hostess offered patio or indoor seating and thoughtfully let us know there was active construction nearby that would make the patio pretty noisy the entire time. That honesty was appreciated, we chose to sit inside so we could actually enjoy conversation. The space itself is beautiful, quaint, colorful, and perfectly in tune with that relaxed Miami Beach, art deco vibe without feeling overwhelming. It instantly felt like a calm beachside escape. When our server came over, I asked about gluten-free options. The menu had an indication of gluten-free options available but he went a step further and explained they offer a gluten-free bagel-style bread substitute, which made navigating the menu so much easier. I ordered the avocado with poached eggs (served on the gluten-free bagel thin), and it was incredible. The eggs were cooked perfectly, yolk bursting just right, and topped with fresh arugula and herbs that made every bite flavorful and fresh. Presentation was just as beautiful as the taste. My coworker had the grilled cheese and fries and loved every bite as well. Food came out quickly, everything was delicious, and the experience felt easy and thoughtful from start to finish. Huge bonus: they serve brunch-style options all day until 4pm, which is perfect when you're traveling or craving breakfast at unconventional hours. The reviews that I read after my bad experience with this place confirms that while the food is good but overpriced the service sucks because the servers are getting the gratuity anyway. The management ( Marius) should seriously evaluate the attitude and customer service skills of their servers, or at least the one that served us ( Douglas) I asked him politely if it would be possible to add an egg yolk to my tuna tartare, and the server didn't even bother checking with the chef/ manager or at least making an effort to pretend to. The response felt dismissive and uninterested. The food for my party was good, but unfortunately the customer service completely ruined the experience. Because of this, I won't be recommending this place, nor will I be returning. BTW you can ask your server to remove that 20% "automated" gratuity if there is no service. They can't force it on you. Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. For food we shared the Bolognese Grilled Cheese and let me tell you, this thing punches well above its $12 price tag. Thick cut brioche toast, griddled until the edges go deep golden brown, stacked over a rich slow simmered bolognese with cheese pulling through every bite. Dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, plated with cherry tomato skewers that added a nice little pop of acidity. Comfort food dressed up for a night out. Service was attentive and easy, drinks came quick, plates came hot, and nobody made us feel rushed even sitting through happy hour. The room itself has that playful Sicilian energy with the Moor head planters and bright touches throughout, which fits the vibe of the menu perfectly. Would I make a special trip back to Miami Beach for it? Probably not from Fort Myers, but if you're already in the area during happy hour, this is one of the better values you'll find on the beach. Solid four stars. Good drinks, good food, great specials, and service that actually showed up.

Not saying I'm unhappy at all with my career, but most people who know me also know from early on I aspired to become a renowned chef. Limitations at the time didn't make that possible, but the culinary arts remain a core part of who I am. Entered how impressed we were last year with the Miami Spice menu that on the spot I selected Stubborn Seed as the venue for my milestone birthday. Enter a process, meal, and aftermath made to the horror model of movies like Sinners. Let me start with the reservation. I booked in October 2025 to ensure we would have the place booked for my birthday. At the time we had a placeholder menu which we would adjust closer to the date. I was told then the 6 course menu would not be available. Closer to the date I saw on the website the 6 course menu was indeed available. In reaching out to the team member who took my reservation and contract, she told me the 6 course menu was not available on Fridays. From what you can see in the pictures, it was available. Then we wonder why Miami gets the reputation it does... ...finally we settled on the 6 course meny after all. My party showed up and we had a great time. Most courses were really solid. Notable was the first course, the cured Ginger & Citrus Cured Japanese Yellowtail. Everything kept moving in a definite crescendo until the let down of the main course. The Koji Marinated Lamb Loin was better billed as the "mini loin" as it was indeed incredibly small. I considered summoning Avenger level superpowers to reduce my people in size to the Wasp to make this work somehow. Unfortunately I don't possess such superpowers. If only. But that was not all. Wait for it... ...There was not one single acknowledgment by anyone in the restaurant staff about my milestone birthday. Not a thank you for selecting us. Not a mention by the manager or anyone on the staff. Not even a gesture during dessert. Even the most elegant of restaurants do something. Even a plated decoration acknowledging the occasion would have sufficed. I wasn't asking for Longhorn Steakhouse staff type of fanfare but something would have been adequate. Nothing. But wait, there's more... ...when settling the check I mentioned I had prepaid for the 10 tasting menus ahead of time leaving on premises consumption for payment on site. At the restaurante they looked into it and came back with that the prepayment was never charged. Given I was with my guests that was neither the time nor the place, so I settled the bill with the intent on checking this later. I did and they had indeed double charged me $2,000. Needless to say I had to bring this up to them including opening a dispute with my credit card after days went by without a follow up on where my refund stood. No offense ladies and gentlemen, but this mistake should have never taken place in the first place... All in all, not even they have the power to ruin what was one of the most memorable evenings of my life. Why? because I was surrounded by some of the most amazing human beings who took time to share this birthday with me. I love them and am grateful to have them in my life. That was the main event. The hopes was having a similar amazing experience with the meal at Stubborn Seed would be the icing on the case. It was not. Fortunately for me they didn't add anything, but more importantly, they didn't take anything away. That said, since Michelin doesn't judge a restaurant for portion size or service, I thought I myself would take something away - the veil on a restaurant that is evidently self indulgent and does not and will not care about you. You are not the star, and you never will be. Recommendations: Read "Unreasonable Hospitality" by Will Guidara - you may learn a bit just from the title itself, more if you crack the book open. Attending a Hospitality program somewhere (doesn't have to be Cornell at this point!)
