There is something about the smell of this place that makes it hard to resist treating yourself. It certainly doesn't help my sugar addiction, but I'm not complaining! The blueberry ice cream was fantastic, and the brownie ice cream was equally delicious. I'm also a huge fan of their Fudge Death by Chocolate, which is always a favorite. The blueberry fudge was ridiculously good, and the peanut butter and chocolate combination is another winner. Their candy selection deserves some recognition, too. The chocolate-covered blueberries are amazing, and the chocolate clusters are wonderfully rich and decadent. There is such a great variety of treats that it's hard to narrow down what to get. What I love most is that the entire experience feels like a treat. Between the wonderful aroma, delicious flavors, and impressive selection of sweets, this shop never disappoints. It's easily one of my favorite places to satisfy a sweet tooth, and I always leave happy. Five stars, without a doubt!

A lot of people talk about supporting local and small businesses, and the ice cream at Jordan Pond Ice Cream can't exemplify that enough. The Stadium earned its 5 star review!…read more We were absolutely exhausted (in the best way) after a full day of hiking Acadia, and need me a pick-me-up before our sunset hike and dinner. When we checked out Yelp and saw the love for The Stadium, we knew we had to check it out. The best part about it was the abundance of lattes and other coffee options. We had fluffernutter and chocolate peanut butter flavored lattes, but were also on the fence about the pumpkin spice latte, the s'mores latte, and a few other flavors too. There was also massive cookies that we didn't get the chance to try. But, we'll almost certainly be back again tomorrow. These coffees were awesome!

They're absolutely delicious when still warm and fresh out of the oven and they bake them pretty much all day, so they're just about always fresh. One of my favorite ways to enjoy them over the years was to get the maple butter and blueberry jam and mix the two. The flavors of the butter, maple and blueberry all complimented the savory flavor of the popover. However, this year I was disappointed to see that they no longer are offering the maple butter, even for an upcharge. Please bring this back, it really took the popovers to another level! Maybe whip it into thawed butter instead of hand mixing it to make it easier? The whipped butter is easier to dip in and spread anyway. The new pre-packaged / mass produced butter packs take away from the appeal of a freshly-made popover. Sometimes in the morning it can be a little crowded in here with people waiting for their coffee / drinks to be made by a counter not far from where you place your order, so if you're walking in and haven't ordered yet then check if the people standing around are just waiting on coffee or waiting to order. It would be a nice improvement to see some separation (maybe with some ropes or floor markings) to make it more clear who is in line to order and who is waiting for their beverage to be made. It's worth noting it's takeout only and there's nowhere inside to sit, but there are some benches just outside on the sidewalk where you can have your popover and coffee.

My friend and I are in town for a couple of days and are checking out all the ice cream places in town. We've sampled and bought everywhere we went. We go into CJ's, looks ok so I try one flavor from the ice cream cabinet, see the gelato cabinet and walk down to it. The girl hands me a sample and it falls off the spoon. No big deal, im wiping it off the glass and she hands me another try. I eat it. My friend asks for a sample of a soy flavor, and her and I are SHARING that sample. In fact i havent even gotten my half in my mouth yet when some young punk behind the counter who has been staring at us (and I cant figure out why) leans across the counter and says so LOUD, RUDE and SNOTTY, "are ya gonna buy anything!?" I am in complete schock. We have had 2 1/2 samples between 2 people. I said this is my second one. He says "yeah, you had ONE over at the ice cream counter" Well I am livid within one second. I have never been treated soooo rudely in any shop. So I leave and in a minute I go back into the store to ask another kid where the mgr is. He says not here and the RUDE KID who is standing all the way at the far end of the counter starts waving at us with his arm up high saying "Im the managers son, BYe BYe" Like he is actually proud of himself!!!! Clearly he has no idea of customer service. if he was my employee i would have fired him on the spot. There is no sign saying there is a limit to tastings, and i saw other folks with 5 or 6 tasters in their hands. Im not sure why i was singled out by this stupid stupid stupid boy but i was so mad that everywhere i went in town the next couple days i made sure to tell all the locals of the worst service I ever had in my whole life. read more

My wife and I decided to indulge in some late-night ice cream at CJ's Big Dipper Ice Cream, and it was a delightful choice! I opted for a small hot fudge sundae with chocolate moose tracks ice cream. The sundae was a rich treat with creamy chocolate moose tracks ice cream swirled with smooth, warm hot fudge, creating a perfect blend of flavors. My wife chose a small double chocolate brownie sugar cone. This cone was generously filled with rich, chocolatey goodness, featuring chunks of brownie mixed into the ice cream, all nestled in a crispy, sweet sugar cone. Both of our ice cream treats were absolutely delicious. The attendants at CJ's were friendly and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable.
