As a retired Research and Development Engineer under contract to NASA, needless to say, I did an…read moreextensive amount of research into the entire procedure of dental implants from Process to Materials. I conducted the same examination of several practices offering "new teeth in one day". I WAS SHOCKED TO DISCOVER that the other practices do NOT tell you the whole story about what is waiting for you once you are "in the chair". If you have the expectation that you are going to walk out of the office in 24 hours with a set of comfortable lifelong teeth, you are in for a very very large dose of reality. Just think about what's happening in your mouth. In most cases, you are having extractions. Extractions mean swelling. Swelling is not your normal mouth shape or configuration; and yet, you are being measured and fitted for the configuration that your mouth will be in after the swelling subsides. This is something like buying clothes when you weigh 300 and expecting them to fit after you lose 150 pounds. Obviously, it is the key to long-term discomfort and dissatisfaction. There is of course the other end of the spectrum that can take up to a year to finally walk out of the office with a new set of teeth that do in fact fit properly; but frankly, I didn't have that kind of time. I chose to go with JAX IMPLANTS because they offered a more than satisfactory middle-ground plan. In fact, I did have usable teeth within the first 24 hours with a special caveat. They were a set of "temporary" teeth that were functional to the degree that I could eat foods that I enjoyed within certain texture limits. As the healing progressed, new "temporary" teeth replaced the previous set and slight modifications were introduced to try new options to improve function and fit. After 4 months of healing and adjustments to the temporary teeth, the final teeth fit and function perfectly. In total, I had 3 sets of temporary teeth before settling on my FINAL teeth. The final teeth exceed my expectations. I cannot even begin to express my thanks to the doctors and staff of Jax Implants for how happy I am with MY NEW TEETH.

My recommendation to Jax is to address the unprofessionalism of the office manager, Michael…read more Despite claims that I never had a consultation, I have documented proof of my interactions, including communications with Lulu (Patient Coordinator), various office emails, and a Zoom meeting with Dr. McCree. While Dr. McCree is wonderful, the staff's conduct is unacceptable and disrespectful. I will be sharing my experience on social media to ensure others in the community are aware of these issues before they get involved with this office.

This review is long overdue. I strongly encourage anyone considering treatment with this provider…read moreto conduct thorough research before making a decision. There are serious questions prospective patients should ask themselves: What is Dr. Franco's full legal name? How could two individuals reportedly pass away after receiving implant procedures under his care in 2023 and 2025? Does Dr. Franco possess the appropriate credentials to perform advanced implant surgeries? Is he formally trained and certified as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and does that distinction matter in his current practice? Why was he reportedly terminated by his former employer, Dental Alliance, around April 2021 for allegedly misrepresenting himself? These are not minor concerns. They are questions that directly impact patient safety and transparency. I personally explored Florida Dental Implant Studio and initially had a phone consultation on December 30, 2025. I provided my own X-rays for review, and I was encouraged to come into the office the very next day, December 31, to determine next steps. I met with Dr. Franco and spent over three hours in consultation. After that lengthy meeting, I placed a $3,000 deposit. Additionally, I was required to pay a 2.5% processing fee--an extra $78--simply for using my Visa card. This immediately left a negative impression. Being charged a fee to pay for services felt exploitative and unnecessary, especially for a medical provider. It did not sit well with me. Upon reviewing the treatment plan, I realized the total quoted price for upper implants and two additional single implants was $31,444. When I compared this to competitors offering similar procedures and comparable warranties, the difference was significant: Jax Implants: $24,299 (a savings of $7,195) ClearChoice: $27,600 (a savings of $3,844) Despite similar services and warranties, Florida Dental Implant Studio's pricing was substantially higher. I left the office feeling confused and unsettled. In addition to the quoted total, the 2.5% card fee and an additional $1,376 added to the overall bill made the financial structure feel unclear. Although the procedure was scheduled for January 12, 2026, and I felt relieved at the thought of addressing my dental challenges, I simultaneously felt uncomfortable moving forward. As I walked to my car, I experienced a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something told me to pause and do more research. It seemed unusual that an upscale practice would "nickel and dime" patients with additional fees, especially for substantial procedures. I contacted the office manager, CJ, to request postponing the procedure so I could further review the treatment plan--specifically the necessity of the two single implants--and to express my unwillingness to pay the 2.5% Visa processing fee. I offered to provide a cashier's check on the day of the procedure instead. I was informed that full payment would be required prior to the scheduled procedure date. When I questioned why full payment was required in advance, I was given an explanation, and we agreed I would follow up the following week. Even after that conversation, I still did not feel comfortable proceeding. However, I initially dismissed my concerns as normal anxiety about undergoing a significant dental procedure. As a praying woman, I believe in listening to discernment. One evening while browsing YouTube, I came across a report regarding an implant doctor connected to two patient deaths following implant procedures. After watching the "Dateline Jacksonville 2025" segment, I was horrified. Suddenly, my earlier discomfort made sense. The report raised additional concerns about patient safety, oversight, and emergency preparedness. As an educated consumer, I began asking more questions about whether I would receive proper medical support if complications arose during surgery. Ultimately, I concluded that I was not comfortable putting my health--and potentially my life--at risk. I contacted CJ again and informed her of my decision to cancel services and requested the return of my $3,078 deposit. She stated she would consult the finance department and follow up. A week later, I was informed that my deposit would not be refunded because it was being applied as the doctor's consultation fee. This was never clearly explained to me as a non-refundable consultation fee at the time of payment. I believed it was a deposit toward services. It was my intention to write this review earlier, but I felt it was important to share my full experience thoughtfully and responsibly. Patients deserve transparency, clarity in pricing, and confidence in the credentials and safety practices of any provider performing invasive surgical procedures. Please do your research. Ask questions. Trust your instincts. Buyer beware. Dateline Jacksonville 2025 See Report; https://youtu.be/oygqkqu29SM?si=iZgUVwyoh7nk2msy

On 2/6 around 9am, I contacted The dental office to relay information from my insurance company to…read moreresubmit the claim. because we have two ins carriers, there is an order in which they should be submitted...The Receptionist lost her cool after I told her and I won't be able to pay the 1700 bill & the insurance will cover it. My first statement to her was that I could not hear her if she is yelling . She proceeded to talk over me saying she was not yelling and I needed to listen to her. I listened ... she yelled, "when you go into Publix 'to buy chicken..." I ignored that because it was obvious she was vibrating low on this good Monday morning. I said Ma'am, we aren't talking about Publix, we are talking about you resubmitting a claim like Jen used to do when the insurance company gave any pushback. I guess that was good, old fashioned, long gone customer service. Thanks Jen, wherever you are. It is certainly my responsibility and I will handle it with the companies we pay to cover these expenses. The next thing I told her was that she was being extremely unprofessional. It was early so obviously no one was in the waiting area... she was loud. Still talking over me, she proceeded to tell me that they were very professional taking care of me and my family. She's 95% correct there; however, let's bring it to the current moment.... Her behavior is unacceptable and anyone in the office on Monday morning can vouch for that. I understand she's upset about not getting her money right away, but I'll continue to do my best to get it resolved. The meantime, go ahead and take me and my family off the books. As soon as I resolve the matter, I will be transferring our 4 sets of dental records elsewhere. There is no way I can ignore that type of abuse and continue to bring my family there for dental services. I went into the office the following morning Because I didn't want to chance not making progress By getting Mrs Lee ( obviously who she is because she is sooooo mad) on the phone with all that yelling and no listening. I was able to speak to a different representative who canceled all future appointments and also had called and received the information I was trying to relay. Let me mention, that throughout my conversation with the other young lady, the Asian lady kept jumping up to bring me policies, and to tell me she isn't listening to me because I don't pay my bills, and how she's sending me to collections. I told her to send it. If that's your job, do it. In the meantime I'll be getting someone else to pay this bill- the insurance company). I'm not new to this, I know all of my responsibilities, rights, laws, credit and all. You'll get paid. I'll remove your bad mark. Wala! Everyone will be happy. Well, I don't know about you. You're mean. She also wanted me to say thank you, and I Obliged. Sorry for the delay; however, someone needs to have a serious talk with her-even though we all know she won't listen- or doesn't have to listen, but try some water yoga or meditation bc she went berserk on the phone and in person. Just crazy
