I recently moved to Jacksonville and had to go through the lovely process of finding a new dentist. I was scammed by a dentist years ago and it still haunts me to this day, so I did a lot of research before finding one that looked trustworthy. Parking at the office was easy, for there was a little parking lot in front of the building. Upon entering, the waiting room felt more like a living room, which I loved! Annetta was my hygienist and she was the best! She was quick with the x-rays and chatted with me throughout the cleaning. I was asked if I wanted headphones to listen to the TV on the ceiling. I didn't need them, but I think this is a great option to distract anyone who hates the dentist. Dr. Roessler was equally as awesome! We looked over my x-rays together and he taught me how to read them. He is very outgoing and easy to talk to; I know if I end up having dental issues in the future that I can trust him. Dr. Roessler is great: super friendly, and actually takes the time to explain what he is looking for on x-rays and what he's seeing. The hygienists are equally awesome. I've seen two different ones now, and both provided a great cleaning/polishing and were very nice. I've noticed that no one seems to use a waterpik to do the cleanings, which I greatly appreciate. The office is lovely. Extremely comfortable waiting area and exam rooms. And the staff is efficient: I've never had to wait more than ten minutes or so, and my insurance is always handled correctly. I was there with my daughter. You gave me forms to fill out. Further you sent a letter to my home and further called me to say all someone with disabilities had to do was call you and you would bring out a ramp. It was such a distressing call, l said l would be hanging up. You wouldn't take the time to look at me. I had to ask you to please look at me. Further, there was not one single person there. How would l know that, why would you mail me a letter about the 48 cancellation policy & 20% interest rate if l wasn't there. I see where any negative reviews have been moved down to the " not recommended". I always read those reviews and some of them name you. I know you have many great reviews so not meeting ADA law and compounding it w/ a letter threnting to charge me 20% seems odd. So, you just deny a unhappy client was even a patient. Good dental care can be hard to find. When I turned 18 and got my own insurance, I remember being overwhelmed with options for dentists, then had a bad experience with my first one! After a friend recommended Five Points Dental, I was sold. Dr. Roessler is excellent, professional, and down to earth. I was a patient of FPD for four years until I changed jobs and in turn had different insurance. The next dentist I went to claimed I had 6 cavities, needed gum surgery, and needed braces. I was in shock. Something felt off about this dentist, and I knew my cheaper dental insurance did not have FPD in network. After sitting on it for a while I decided to upgrade my insurance and pay 50% out of pocket to go back to FPD. I'm so happy I made this decision. Even though I'm paying more money, the honesty and trustworthiness of seeing Dr. Roessler made it absolutely worth every penny. I cannot recommend his practice enough! read more

This review is way overdue. Dr. Roessler was my dentist when I live in JAX. I have since lived in many other places and never have I found another dentist or practice I've liked as much! I miss this place and will forever rate this as the best place to get your teeth cleaned. "It looks like a house inside!" is what I say/think every time I have been. Since I have been 4x, I can safely attest this staff are friendly and the dental services provided are top notch. If the front desk, hygienist and dentist are all nice and smiling, it's hard for me to think of any reason not to give 5*. Their gift bags are pretty cool and who doesn't like leaving the dentist with a fancy goodie bag?!? I have did a review to this dental place before and about how amazing Dr. Roessler and his staff is, not only am I still in love with this place inside and out, I need to point out a special hygienist that takes care of me and my daughter for our cleaning, I am sure everyone loves Lorin but WE LOVE LORIN! She is very personable and sweet, she can hold a meaningful conversation and clean your teeth at the same time! She is Thorough and very good @ her job. I have been able to have my teeth cleaned by all the girls back there but there is none like Lorin! I am a friend when I am in her chair and not an appointment time. She deserves everything good that comes to her. My daughter and I look forward to my dental visit every time because I know I am getting quality care when I get my cleaning. She always remembers my family and always remembers the details of things that go on in my life. There's nothing like going to a place of business and it's like home. Dr Roessler is a great dentist, he has many years of experience. I found out about this Dr through a friend, since I was looking for a new dentist in Jax. My previous dentist would suggest unnecessary procedures. Now it's my turn to let ya know why I highly recommend him. He won't ever try to persuade you in getting unnecessary work done. He shows you your x-rays & explains to you what you're viewing within each sub-set. Everything he does is for the betterment of your teeth. His staff of dental assistants & hygienist are very personable too. They don't have a heavy hand which is great if you're scared of going to the dentist like I use to be. They try to make it as painless as possible. Almost forgot, parking can be limiting sometimes & you would have to park on the street across from the office. Trust him & his staff to help you in all your dental needs. I live near the Town Center & I do not mind driving to Five Points Dental, they are that great! P.S. This was my dentist since I was 12. I had recently had my front teeth broken and then had to have my teeth replaced in which Ronald did. After a few months my tooth then chipped on one corner, I went to get it fixed byRonald, who did the tooth with a full attitude and rushed. A few days later it broke again!! Then the day of my appointment the office told me I was dismissed from the office with no explanation as of to why or if I could ever come back!! I moved to Jacksonville recently and was happy to find this office. I have already had two cleanings and a mouth guard made, and I had positive experiences each time. There weren't any issues with billing or anything like that, as they confirmed what my insurance would cover prior to doing anything (which seems like a no-brainer, but that's not how all offices operate!). The only negative thing I would say is that the wait times were a little long when I had my first two appointments (15-20 minutes), but on my most recent appointment I was brought back right away. The staff and doctor are always friendly and personable, and I really like the old houses converted into offices. Unfortunately, they will no longer be taking my insurance in-network so I need to find a new practice, which is a bummer! read more

I let it be known that I have what I thought was extreme dental anxiety. I must say that I felt welcome from the time I walked in until the time I left. Laura, my hygienist was extremely patient and kind with me. I barely felt anything, she did a phenomenal job. Also, the TV on the ceiling is a nice touch that helps distract you. We are from Texas and had to come to Florida to help an ill relative. My dentist in Texas said I really should not wait to have my cavity under my crown fixed. I'm a bit apprehensive about dental work however the office was very relaxing. It looks like someone's home for starters. The dental assistant was gentle kind and competent. I arrived to my appointment this morning early, waited in my car and noticed a dental employee walk into the office without a mask. Then I noticed a patient in the office without a mask. I am high risk for getting covid. I asked at the desk about the no mask in the office, the woman replied with a smile and said it's not mandatory. I was so disappointed with the office, I can't go back knowing they would subject me to a higher risk of contracting covid. Prior to my appointment I had to fill out forms about covid exposure etc. Why then do you not follow your own recommendations? I did not get my dental work done, and will not go back. read more

So far I've really enjoyed my experience with Five Points Dental. Last week I chipped a tooth and having not been completely satisfied with my last dentist, decided to look for others in the area. I called their office that evening and explained the situation and they were able to get me in the very next morning! This visit was quick and pleasant but they were unable to actually fix the tooth that day. They made an appointment for me in the last spot they had before the July 4th holiday which I really appreciated. I'm not the most anxious person when it comes to the Dentist but I still don't necessarily enjoy it and I felt very comfortable and relaxed here. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. They have TVs on the ceilings and headphones that you can wear during any procedures which is super helpful, for me at least. Actually, the dentist and the hygienist that I saw today were so funny during my filling I hardly needed the TV as a distraction. I was in and out in no time! I'm looking forward to not dreading going to the Dentist anymore :) read more

Wonderful dental office. I tried Dr. Roessler after I felt like I had an incorrect treatment recommendation from a previous dentist, and I was right. Dr. Roessler and his staff took the time to properly check my teeth and dispel any concerns about my previous diagnosis. He is also more conservative with treatments, and will only recommend what is truly necessary and best for your dental needs. Everyone is genuinely friendly and nice, and it makes you feel like a valued client. The decor makes it feel very homey and not "clinic-y", and the TVs are a nice distraction while you're in the chair. The office, staff and Dr Roessler makes going to the dentist a much more pleasant experience than it should! read more

I had a consultation here about 3 years ago & the Dentist was extremely polite & very understanding. He wasn't like most dentist I went too who judge & shame you for your dental hygiene. He's respectful as to what exactly it is you want to focus on. I hope to come to him when I need my front teeth fix. I've been going here for dental exams for 2 1/2 years now and they are amazing. I have repeatedly had a hygienist named Sue. She is so kind, personable, and gentle. BEAWARE!!!! the billing practice is BACKWARDS. Everything should be clear BEFORE ANY SERVICES ARE PROVIDED!! My second star is only there because Dr. Roessler is great. The best dentist I've had in my life! I went in December to get my annual teeth cleaning. Checked in at the front counter and given the clipboard to review my demographics. Before the cleaning started I was told it was time for X-rays (I HATE GETTING X-RAYS). After everything is completed I go to the front of the office to check out I was told that I had to pay $$. I asked why. I never had to pay for routine services before and I've been a patient there for over 10 years. Whoever was at the desk that day told me it was for the X-RAYS. Had I been told of a fee prior to them being done I would have declined!!!! They wrote it off and gave me a paper stating that I had a $0 balance due. Fast forward a month or so and I received a bill. WTF!!! Didn't I go through this already when I was in the office? Then some chick called me asking for $$ and now the bill has increased. I recapped that day I stood in the office and had a problem with being billed for something that I had now idea I was going to be billed for and I was told AND given paperwork that it was taken care of and know you're telling me that I see where notes were made about that day in the office but that was referring to the XRAYS and not the cleaning. I am new to JAX and was rather nervous when looking for a dentist after having had the most amazing dentist back in Miami (Dr. Maximo Roman, for those in the area). I don't like to go to the dentist and that is why I go every six months for a cleaning so as to avoid serious problems. I chose Five Points Dental because of the closeness to where I live and I didn't expect such a great experience. The place is beautiful, not your typical dental clinic, the staff is courteous, and the doctor very down to earth and open to your needs and wishes. The hygienist I had, I can't remember her name, gave me what probably was the best cleaning I've had, ever. She was detailed, took her time, really did, was extra meticulous and laborious, and, best of all, anal. I like my dental clinics just like this. As a child, I experienced a lot of emotional trauma regarding the dentist. It has been significant and stayed with me through adulthood. The spa like environment of Five Points Dental puts one at ease. Dr. Roessler is an extremely personable and caring person. When my previous dentist continuously prescribed costly procedures, I decided to get a second opinion. Instead of a procedure costing thousands and hours in the chair, he explained to me that there were other less stressful and less expensive options. He further stated that it may or may not work. I tried the option which painlessly cost me about $100. That was about a decade ago and I've never had another problem with it. Things did come up over this time and I experienced a great deal of anxiety. Dr. Roessler was patient, gentle and kind. He always explained my options and was understanding with my anxiety. I feel like I will be able to better handle procedures in the future due to his caring manner. Clearly my fears were far worse than reality. I've moved away now and only hope that I can find a dentist who is as knowledgeable caring and compassionate as Dr. Roessler. read more
