"It looks like a house inside!" is what I say/think every time I have been. Since I have been 4x, I can safely attest this staff are friendly and the dental services provided are top notch. If the front desk, hygienist and dentist are all nice and smiling, it's hard for me to think of any reason not to give 5*. Their gift bags are pretty cool and who doesn't like leaving the dentist with a fancy goodie bag?!? There was a small out of pocket expense for me because they are not on my insurance list, but it was worth it and I'm glad I now have a Jax-based dentist.

Waiting area, very welcoming.

Dr Roessler is a great dentist, he has many years of experience. I found out about this Dr through a friend, since I was looking for a new dentist in Jax. My previous dentist would suggest unnecessary procedures. Now it's my turn to let ya know why I highly recommend him. He won't ever try to persuade you in getting unnecessary work done. He shows you your x-rays & explains to you what you're viewing within each sub-set. Everything he does is for the betterment of your teeth. His staff of dental assistants & hygienist are very personable too. They don't have a heavy hand which is great if you're scared of going to the dentist like I use to be. They try to make it as painless as possible. Almost forgot, parking can be limiting sometimes & you would have to park on the street across from the office. Trust him & his staff to help you in all your dental needs. I live near the Town Center & I do not mind driving to Five Points Dental, they are that great! P.S. Although they're great, it is important that you also do your part by taking care of your oral health. Brush & floss daily, it makes a huge difference people. We are talking prevention!

This was when I got the tooth fixed after months of it being broken

This was my dentist since I was 12. I had recently had my front teeth broken and then had to have my teeth replaced in which Ronald did. After a few months my tooth then chipped on one corner, I went to get it fixed byRonald, who did the tooth with a full attitude and rushed. A few days later it broke again!! Then the day of my appointment the office told me I was dismissed from the office with no explanation as of to why or if I could ever come back!! Meaning I have to go to a completely new dentist and pay for a whole new crown. This dental office is racist and rude! I do not recommend.

Keep seeing & hearing the "We really do care" nonsense. Went to Dr. Spencer for a simple tooth…read morebuildup. Was told by Dr. Spencer before they would do the procedure I needed a $1500 deep cleaning. Ended up going elsewhere. Smiling faces sometimes don't tell the truth. Thanks Dr. Spencer, found a great dentist who really did care.

I went to Dr. Adam Cohlmia to replace an ill-fitting crown placed by another dentist. I was very…read moreclear from the start that the crown's fit, color, size, and position were critical, as I'd been struggling with chewing, talking, persistent facial pain, headaches, and even feeling the old crown pressing against my lip. I trusted Dr. Cohlmia to address these issues, but unfortunately, the experience was both disappointing and deeply upsetting. Dr. Cohlmia removed the old crown, rebuilt my tooth, and placed a permanent crown. While the temporary crown offered some relief, the permanent crown caused immediate problems. My headaches and facial pain returned, the crown was visibly whiter than my natural teeth, and it protruded against my lip. On top of that, it "clanged" against my bottom teeth while chewing and caused me to bite my tongue, leading to significant discomfort. I scheduled a follow-up appointment for an adjustment, and while it helped briefly, the same issues returned within days. When I called for a second adjustment, I had to follow up multiple times before I was seen. During this appointment, Dr. Cohlmia's demeanor had changed drastically. He appeared visibly annoyed, and his tone was dismissive and gruff. He argued with me, repeatedly saying, "I don't know what you're complaining about; the crown looks great." I tried to explain that the issue wasn't about how it looked but how it felt, as I was still in pain, unable to eat normally, and relying on Tylenol to get through the day. Rather than addressing my concerns, Dr. Cohlmia became increasingly hostile. He raised his voice, called my concerns "ridiculous," and sarcastically suggested refunding me, saying, "How about I refund the crown because nothing is wrong with it?" At this point, I felt trapped, embarrassed, and overwhelmed. Dr. Cohlmia was standing over me, visibly angry, and his dismissive attitude left me in tears. The patient rooms lack privacy, so this entire exchange could be overheard by others. When I agreed to the refund just to end the confrontation, he stormed out of the room yelling, "So ridiculous!" My embarrassment only grew when the front desk staff asked me to open my mouth and show my crown to them in front of other patients. To make matters worse, the office couldn't issue the refund that day and refused to provide written confirmation, simply stating I'd receive a check by mail within 30 days. The entire ordeal was humiliating and unprofessional. Dr. Cohlmia's care fell far below any reasonable standard. From dismissing my pain to his unprofessional and aggressive behavior, he showed a lack of compassion, understanding, and basic respect. I trusted him to help me with a difficult situation, but I left feeling worse physically and emotionally. If he wasn't capable of handling this case, he should have said so upfront instead of responding with hostility when the crown required multiple adjustments. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone seeking competent or compassionate dental care.

Turns out, Carlson should have taken a less invasive, more cost effective procedure first. Most recently, I was told that one of my molars was cracked and needed a crown. When asked if there were any other options, I was flat out told no. So, I asked what my insurance was going to cover and was told 50% (which matched my policy). I asked what my out of pocket cost was going to be, so they gave me an "estimate of charges." Come to find out, they don't actually contact your insurance to get a real quote or to obtain approval. I was told that they give you an estimate based on your policy, or what they can pull from the web. Had they communicated with my insurance like I asked them to do, they would have been told it would not be covered. So, in short, they guessed. And I get to pay for it. I also found out that it's a legitimate practice to accept someone's insurance but bill them under a SHARED SERVICES carrier. This means, there is NO contracted rate and YOU have to pay the entire bill when they deny it. Seems to me, this is a very effective loop-hole for medical provides. How is that fair? And what's to stop any medical provider from pulling this on people?!? I had been going to Carlson for the last 5+ years, and previously had nothing but good things to say about them. Now, I'm left in disbelief that they would do this to people. I do not recommend them and would warn other patients to call on your benefits yourself. Clearly, they won't!
