I contacted Cindy, and she responded within minutes and was out at our house within 48 hours to give us a quote. Cindy has been exceptional with communication on all fronts. From the beginning, Cindy was communicative and always quick to respond to any questions we had. Our scope of work involved moving walls, and a complete gut of our kitchen, living areas and dining room. I have to admit that when Cindy estimated a 3 month turnaround (including inspections) we had our doubts. She proved us wrong - our project was complete and ready for us to move in two weeks early! We were very impressed with all of the subcontractors and the work done. Our home was treated with care the entire time. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean our house was kept, even during demo! During each phase, Cindy and Jose guided these first time renovators through each decision, and came up with creative solutions when the unexpected came up. Any issues were quickly resolved, even when it was simply us changing our minds. The only cost increases we encountered were items that we decided to add. First time they worked for me they updated my master bedroom from top to bottom and created a fantastic wetroom as my master bathroom. Second time I had them round they updated my second and third bedrooms. This last time they laid tile, painted through the main area of my house and also updated the whole main bathroom. I'm so help with the service and pricing I've asked for a quote to do the kitchen too. The service is second to none, all his employees are extremely curious and helpful. If I were doing this again, I would have worked closer with the LoneStar Contracting to select the…read moretile for this project. As it was, I shopped for the tile in advance and unknowingly selected a size that was very difficult to work with in such a small area. In hindsight, had I shown LoneStar a photograph of the type of tile I was interested in, I believe they would have helped me select a style which was better suited for the small (3' x 3' x 8' tall) shower and still have looked great. That said, the team from LoneStar Contracting did an excellent job of laying the tile I had chosen. It added a week to the project, but the final results look FANTASTIC! The Shower, sink, Linen closet, clothes hamper, and over toilet cabinet were all custom built to fit this bath. The construction is solid and well made. Lonestar selected the grab bars that were installed. Instead of the simple industrial grab bars, they purchased a style that blended perfectly with the accessories (towel bar, toilet roll holder, soap dish) I had selected for the bath. I guess that is what impressed me, was the way Lonestar paid attention to the small details, keeping me involved in a any of the decision making processes. In addition, The workers got along well with my dog, so I did not have to keep her crated during the entire project. Another thing that impressed me about LoneStar Contracting, compared to the other companies I solicited for this project. LoneStar Contracting ALWAYS answered the phone when I called. Not once did I need to leave a voice mail. When I called for an initial quote, they were here the next day to look over the project, and LoneStar provided me with a quote with-in 24 hours of the survey. (compare that to the competition which took a week to prepare the quote.) Even If I emailed or SMS'd the foreman, he responded back with-in the hour. The level of customer service from LoneStar is something that I greatly appreciated. I will contact LoneStar Contracting again when we decide to redo the Kitchen. They arrived on time and were respectful of the property and our request to wear masks. Despite the small work scope, Chris was very responsive, patient and helpful in helping us source missing parts. He even took the initiative to replace an old pipe under the sink when he saw that there was a lot of buildup, without charging us extra for the labor and parts. Chris is knowledgeable and experienced in a wide range of home improvement areas (even carpet installation and carpentry) but he is also honest about things that they don't do (eg garage doors). Really appreciate his transparency and affordable pricing. Look forward to working with them on our bathroom!

No schedule was set for construction, their workers would show up randomly to start work and return a week later. 5 the times I did receive a notice to expect the workers, no one would show up. 6. Nothing was covered prior to starting demo, dry wall dust covered the entire house, texture was left splattered on freshly painted surfaces and newly installed flooring. (Had to have the house professionally cleaned $$) 7. Trash was left on several occasions. 8.we chose 2 other companies to paint and install carpet, one of A1 employees complained to my other contractor that they shouldn't be there that they were supposed to do all the work at my house. Unprofessional and unacceptable. 9. Carpet was partially ripped up in a room that was supposed to stay, received no compensation or apology. 10.upon reaching out to the owner of the company about the issues and wanting to receive compensation for the poor work I was accosted and told I would be taken to court if I don't pay the remaining balance.
