He picked up the phone and reassured me that he can come out quickly and address the issue. In fact, he was able to diagnose the root cause over the phone and came prepared to resolve the issues. While fixing the issue, Ryan took the time to help me understand my electrical panel and explained the process of how he was going to fix the issue. After the work was completed, he ensured that there were no ongoing issues and that the work was completed to my satisfaction. At no point did Ryan come off as impatient or made me feel like he was rushing. He completed the fix quickly, but was very thorough in his work (something that comes with experience, practice, and being confident in the work). He was extremely kind and patient as he answered all of my questions. The rate Ryan charged was fair (i.e., no price gouging); especially given the short notice. I am definitely going to be calling on Ryan (no hesitation) for any future work that may require an electrician.

Ryan came out promptly the next day when I requested and his work was professional and clean. Superb communication. Great results. Fair price. Would hire again…read more Our project was a subfloor repair in our upstairs bathroom. This meant a demo of wood, demo of tile, new carpentry, new tile, reinstall of a fixture, additional pipe, and new baseboards. We decided (without any pressure for add-ons) to extend the work to the whole bathroom floor instead of just the localized area. So our results feel like not just a repair, but a remodel. Things that stood out: Communication - We felt the main point of contact, Anthony, was clear and helpful through the whole process. This is true of every crew member we interactacted with as well. Questions were answered patiently, things were explained clearly, we new what to expect next, there were no overpromises. Everyone that came into our home was respectful. Our input was sought at appropriate times, and we were shown progress consistently. Execution - Everyone seemed competent and capable of the tasks at hand. The results look good, feel good, and inspire confidence. If there was a mess made, it was promptly cleaned up. If there was a concern, it was handled appropriately. Initially I was a little skeptical of the proposed timeline but after seeing the work in action it made sense and was accurate. I would advise any others to just be ready to communicate a little, and inspect the results at each stage, since there might be use of different crews for one stage or another. It felt like a smooth project overall, with a little touchup at the end. Also, someone cleaned our bathroom sink. Didn't even ask for that!

They kept me consistently in the loop and were proactive every step of the way. There were a few items that didn't make it into the original scope of work, and Anthony took care of them without any additional cost. Any change orders I requested were handled professionally and without issue. The project came in on budget and on timeline, and they were also great about offering suggestions and options to help keep costs down. His quote was on the lower end of the others we received, and the quality of work was excellent, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Anthony and his team.

They removed all the crumbling concrete steps, porch pad, rotted wood supports and frail metal railings. They were able to reenforced the existing brick base and ceiling supports, reducing my costs. They framed, and rebuilt with cedar beams/ railings and finished with a beautiful, durable composite wood flooring. The detail of the craftsmanship on the custom cedar railings and posts are amazing. Demo and rebuild were completed in the estimate that was given of 3 weeks. I showed John a picture of how I wanted it, and he and his team did the rest! Seamless from beginning to end. Bayer Builders dealt with all the permitting and inspections and helped me pick out materials (offering low- and high-end pricing). They consulted with me throughout the project, with very little effort on my part to get this massive project completed. I have to say that I am highly impressed with the skill, attention to detail, and excellent work ethics that the crew demonstrated. These trades seem to be a dying breed and John has secured the finest of them! I look forward to enjoying my porch for many years to come and hope to work with them again. They rebuilt a section of our garage along with the roof (subcontractor) and deck. John managed the whole process and solicited several bids from roofers (who many times didn't show) to make sure we got the best price and quality. He managed to do this in a tight timeline as the weather was getting cold and he carefully explained our options and pricing along the way. He went out of his way to save us money when possible and pushed for quality when it was the right thing to do. He was fair and knowledgeable, and saved us a lot of headache! Some of the other builders out there really didn't know what they were doing and accidentally caused damage just taking a look at our problem. Bayer Builders on the other hand were very professional and capable. If you need good honest builders who won't give you an upsell, choose these guys.

After reviewing the scope of the project, it was estimated that it would take a week and a half to complete. Not only did it take over a month to eventually complete, the days that the team would work were unpredictable. On several occasions, as the team would leave for the day, they would tell us they will be back tomorrow, and then not show up. Or, they wouldn't be able to tell us when they would come next, and would surprise us a few days later. They ended up needing to complete this project after I had delivered my baby (original timeline would've been completed weeks prior to my due date). Additionally, we noticed there were a few design decisions that were made without consulting us, like the drywall of the shower/re-installation of the water gauge (it's now not flush with the wall and very loose) and the selection of tile at the base of the shower that doesn't match the floor. He had offered to come fix the water gauge, but after coming to look at the issue, he has not gotten back to us in 5 weeks. I had high hopes for this project, and while it still looks nice, the lack of communication made it really difficult to want to recommend Peter or use his team again for future projects.

No one showed on July 22 at which time I outreached to him and he said that they were behind on another job and would not be able to start for a few more weeks. At this point i had moved all the patio furniture and outdoor stuff off my deck, which was frustrating. The work didn't start until mid-August. We had expected this to be a two week job and to use the yard for a memorial service we were having but the deck took until February to complete- nearly 6 months. During that time he failed two deck inspections, his guys hit a gas line and there was a rotation of workers here, none of whom seemed to really know what they were doing. We used the upper deck about 4 times before our latch fell off the gate. We attempted numerous outreach to him and he has not come to fix the issue. I am also still cleaning up debris- finding full sets of nails, loose nails and deck debris quite often. Since they finished in February lots was covered in snow and throughout the summer I have kept finding more and more garbage and debris from the crew.
