WEEKS go by and then I try to pay over the phone so I dont have to drive down there and their solution is to have me email them my credit card info on a form. Took my Iphone 6 in because Siri wasn't working. After 10 minutes, was told It couldn't be repaired, I would have to buy a new IPhone. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to CPR Cell Phone Repair. Was told it could be fixed, was given an estimate and in less than 2 hours I had a Siri working phone. I have been having a really frustrating week with my MacBook Pro. It shut down on me and I ended up needing to buy a new one. Bought it from Best Buy where they sold me Apple care and said that citymac would be able to transfer my stuff for free as long as I had Apple care. Went to citymac and the guy I was dealing with was very rude. Told me I would have to pay the $50 because I got Apple care from Best Buy instead of them. Then told me I might have to pay $300 if there was any problems with transferring stuff. I had questions and he seemed very annoyed, giving me one word responses. I've had great experience with Apple employees in the past but this was just awful. read more

I had the misfortune of going here on two occasions for broken iPhones. We use the apple upgrade program and have applecare+. Both times went badly. Over the phone, they say they will be able to replace the phone in a day. You arrive and they say 5-6 days. They are closed on Sunday. How is a service/product center closed on Sunday? I should have driven the 1.5 hours to a REAL apple store in Seattle. If you are thinking, how bad can it be and feel like being annoyed, give them a try... Just drive to Seattle and deal with Pros, not mouth breathers if you are short on time... Closed on Sunday. Too funny. I would give them a 1 star but Yelp doesn't like to show those.. TERRIBLE customer service. I went in ready to purchase a macbook pro and quickly decided I will make the trip south to Lynnwood to purchase it. I waited nearly 10 minutes wandering around the store without being acknowleged. There was one guy at front helping a guest and two at service center. Ifinally asked if the have any customer service and was answeredin lukewarm manner that "there should be someone out there." When I said that there wasn't I was told that he would get someone. A couple of minutes went by and a guy showed up. No smile, no sorry you had to wait, no urgency to help...nothing. I told him that I was there to purchase a laptop to which he replied "okay." that was it...okay and blank stare. I had to prompt him to give me any information about the products. I told him that I don't know much about mac and he still didn't offer up any advice unless I asked specific questions. Never asked what my use for it was going to be or what I wanted it for to better find out what would suit me as a choice. A new computer is a BIG purchase and unless you know exactly what you want/need it is very overwhelming. I think a lot of bellingham residents were very excited to be getting an apple dealer in town...sorry guys, don't waste your time. these guys are unprofessional, uninformed and bordering on rude. I only gave the company 4 stars since I have not purchased from them. BUT I would not hesitate to give them the 5th one if the purchase turned out as well as the service I received. I went in with iphone issues on 3 separate occasions and they were courteous and patient with me. They even helped me clear my old iphone so my grandson could use it. The last visit took almost 1 and 1/2 hours to fix an application issue on my phone. They had to restore settings on the phone using my old dell laptop to log in on iTunes. What a frustrating experience to get help with a bad computer. Originally bought new from TD Curran, and after 2 months, computer not working. After much chiding from CS for what WE must have done wrong, it turns out .. there really was something wrong, and they fixed it. Another 3 weeks and another (different) issue. Same annoyed response from CS! When I asked what my options were for solving the fact that I had a new $1800 non working computer (they were able to diagnose that the hard drive was bad) ! They said to call 1-800- apple! I did get in touch with Apple corporate, and we were shipped a NEW computer along with instructions on how to transfer the software we had downloaded, and a shipping label to return the bad one. THIS is why we buy Apple products.. and it is also why, next time, I will travel to another city for my APPLE purchases. read more

Absolute worst service and return policy ever. Charged over 100.00 dollars for a re-stocking fee. What kind of business are the running. Apple doesn't even charge you online for restocking. Total SCAM. I will never do business there again and would never recommend them to my worst enemy. I have never had a good dealing with these guys. They come across rude and even with completely coverage with apple care they still would not work on my computer. The first time I tried to buy from them I was so taken aback by they guy's arrogance, I drove to the Apple store in Lynnwood to by my computer. And now again..... went in on monday because my battery on my iphone was failing. my phone was purchased a year ago so i know i have the apple warranty. the guy was nice and helpful and i told him ill bring it in on Wed. when i got there on wednesday, a different guy told me the phone was purchased TWO years ago and that my warranty expired last March. I said "how come on monday i was told my warranty was still good?" he responds "i dunno. he probably typed it in wrong and pulled up a different phone that DOES have warranty.but yours doesn't" I told him the phone was brand new when i got it (ONE year ago) and he just brushed me off and told me there was nothing he could do, because thats what the computer said. (didnt bother to type it in again and double check) sent me home to look for the receipt. I had to run to work so i didn't have time to argue. IMMEDIATELY when i got to work, i went online to see if there was a way to check my warranty status, and sure enough..there it was, still had warranty until almost the end of the month. Called apple, and he said to go back in and call back if i had problems. So i went back in,and told him to check again, and what made me mad was that he lied to my face and said "OH! it looks like you called apple and they updated our system and your phone shows up now" (-____-) um...no! i checked it BEFORE i called apple...on my work computer..he pulled up a COMPLETELY different phone that was purchased two years ago...why would a system that "wasn't updated" show false information? I understand people make mistakes, i work in customer service too..but when you make a mistake, own up to it and ask what you can do to make it right with the customer. its insulting to lie to someone like that. read more

I have been using Apple products for the past eight years or so, and the IPhone for the past five or so years, so I have an idea on how bad the battery is. A year ago, I got the iPhone 6S, and I also got AppleCare. Well now a year later, my phones battery is shot, so I take it in, expecting to get a new battery within a few days, but no. The man in charge told me that it would be a MONTH before he could replace it. A month! I couldn't believe it! Now I have a broken phone, for a month. I know it's not CityMacs fault that the iPhones battery is so bad, but I expect, especially since I have the AppleCare deal, to have my phone fixed sooner than a month. I have never written reviews but I had such a frustrating experience at CityMac it seemed necessary. I bought AirPods from this location two days ago and got them home only to realize they were defective. I called CityMac to see what my options were and they told me I would be unable to return them because of a "law" that prevents opened headphones from being returned. I then called back a second time and a different employee told me I could in fact return them. Once I actually drove up to the store they told me again that I couldn't return them and the best they could do is send them into Apple for me, but would not refund my money or replace the product. They said they could "diagnose" the problem for me but the salesperson barely knew how to connect them to an iPhone and didn't try resetting them or my phone's connection, which are the recommended fixes. Once I left I called the Apple store and they said there is no such law preventing headphones from being returned and that I could bring them in to the official Apple store for a replacement. Don't waste your time here. read more

Avoid at all costs it's a far drive but worth visiting an actual store. They trick you with hidden policies like restocking fees that apple doesn't have. Smaller selection and more expensive in many cases. There is no benefit to going here over apple store aside being in Bellingham. Best buy would be better and that's saying a lot. read more

I took my 64GB iPad in that had as broken screen they said they could fix it for around $200. They replaced the screen and its never worked the same again. Found out later if I would have just taken yo Apple could have paid the same price and had a new. But since I had a aftermarket screen Apple would not do the exchange. read more

How exceptional is this place and service, WOW! My ex-husband, during a conflict, took the power cord to my iMac. I called the store and they said they had one in stock. When I got there, which was a 20 mile drive, the clerk gave me the cord for free. What a blessing! Your staff has gone above and beyond, quite similar to AppleCare support staff. Brought my MacBook pro 17 in for repair dropped it off to the repair teem. They had it for 3 days called me and said there was water damage. I originally purchased the laptop from TD Curran when they were named that $3600.00 They told me of the water damage. I know when I spilled water on it 3 years ago I opened it up and cleaned it and it never left my desk after that. Its been flawless since. They claimed they should be able to get it going things are looking good but I had to agree to a $175.00 cleanup bill. They said it would take approximately 1 week I agreed. They call me the fallowing day and said its no good. I went to pick it up to as an explanation got none with just wanted payment. I feel they misled me with the whole week thing. I would of purchased a new laptop there today if this hadn't rolled out like this. I will never go back. I own a service shop and if we tell you its looking good it will be fixed. If it doesn't get repaired we would not charge you anything. read more

Went in and explained the issue with my iPad. Basically I just needed to get it restored to factory settings. Pretty basic right? I tried to do it at home but it takes a million years to update iTunes and I need the iPad for work so I figured it would be an easy reset for the Mac store to do. Had it for 20 min as I waited in the lobby. The tech came back and said he "couldn't even get it into recovery mode and it's probably just a hardware issue and that I could leave it with them for a feW days to figure it out." So I take the iPad to my Inlaws and plug it into THEIR computer just to make sure it wasn't my home CPU with the issue. Within 20 min I get it to work and reset to factory setting. These guys are awesome! When you go to the Apple store, you can spend hours or days waiting for attention. The staff at CityMac, on the other hand is there for you and always willing to help. They are certainly there to assist with product selection and help with using Apple products. In addition, they are always willing to lend a helping hand even when your Apple product was not purchased there. For example, I was having trouble installing a screen protector on my iPad Pro. They were gracious and happy to redo the job at no cost. When I upgraded my Macbook Air memory, they lent me the special screw driver needed so I could do the job myself. It just seems that these guys are there to ensure satisfaction with Apple products and will do whatever possible to make sure customers and potential customers are happy. You walk out of there feeling great wishing that there were more like them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

My experience with T.D. Curran has only been good. More than good. They have answered questions and been quite instructive, fixed minor problems for what seemed to be simply customer service, and even gave me some technical advice over the phone. Then called me back to give me more directions after the person consulted with someone else about my issue. Way beyond the call of duty, as they say. I have had many happy interactions with T.D. Curran over the 4 years that I've lived here and wouldn't even think of going somewhere else. read more

On 12/26 I completed an order for a gold IPad pro on line with Verizon. I had noticed that the item I wanted was on back over till 12/31 the sale rep for Verizon over the phone called and y'all had one so I rushed over to pick it up thinking it would take maybe 20 minutes. It took me 10 on line maybe that long. I entered the store about 1 hour and maybe 10-15 minutes before closing. The sales rep had the IPad pro I wanted and we attempted to get my order taken care of. He rang it up cash first without asking if it was going on a payment plan or if I was signing up for a two year contract. To make matters more complicated I had three kids under 10 with me. So form the time I arrived until closing I was attempting to purchase the item. The rep asked the manager if he could leave early at one point and I felt very pushed off. After my application was released 3 times there was still an issue. He didn't want to run up the rep's call time is what I over heard, but I wanted the IPad. I left the store empty handed and was told I would receive a call Monday once the rep could "figure out what was wrong with my account" Upon leaving the store I spoke to 2 different managers at Verizon to prevent this from happening today when I was planning to come back in to pick the item up. No call was placed to me, I gave him the number I have with me always. I called about 4:50 today and was told I would need to come in for about 2 hours so the "deep routed problem could be fixed" Am I buying a car? The store was highly recommended by several co-workers and friends. I am the director of nursing and two hours is impossible to get there before your store closes at 6 and it is unrealistic to ask a customer to spend two hours for a 30 mins max project. Needless to say I spent 10 minutes on the website ordering the IPad pro and will be receiving it once the back order ships. The rep was nice but seemed more interested in going home then helping. I have never been so disappointed in a situation like this one. I will not recommend your store to others. I had heard such wonderful things about the store and how helpful people were. You can return the gold Ipad pro to stock because I will not be spending the two hours at your store to pick it up. I love my apple products and have had Verizon for years, I;m not sure what the deep routed problem may have been except laziness or already selling the IPad or because I didn't pay cash upfront. From one manager to another things like this shouldn't happen. read more

Poor customer service. CityMac's Service tech sold me hard drive 15 months ago for my desktop. Service tech told me it would last for 3 to 5 years. It lasted 15 months. Then told me I must have been moving my desktop computer around to causing it to crash so soon. Then told me he would transfer my data at no charge if I bought another computer or charge me again to do what I did 15 months ago. Technician told me I also had to bring in my back up drive. 15 months ago I came into the store to purchase a new mac but was told by tech it would be better to replace drive. :( This trip I told the salesman what I wanted to do and what I needed. I bought a computer only to find out I needed a bigger hard drive. So I went back to the store and bought another computer and returned the first computer. Talking to the service manager about this. He told me "it happens and I should be charging you to transfer your data. My other tech should not have told you "those things" and I will have a talk with him. He was not willing to do rectify the situation. When I received my new computer the password had been changed and my start page had been changed. Technician told me he had to do this. If you read this I hope you deal with Apple and their stores directly. This place is not worth your patronage. read more
