I've been shopping at Tandy Wear for many, many years and have always loved the store, the style,…read moreand the quality of clothing. I've also known the owner for years - she is a kind, respectable person who truly cares about her customers. However, over the past year or two, I've noticed a decline in customer service. There are a few sales associates whose approach often makes shopping uncomfortable. They seem eager to help younger women or those who fit the mold of a certain aesthetic, but if you don't, the experience changes. Instead of showing flattering pieces that could accentuate your positives, they tend to pull oversized items - with more of an appeasing "let's cover you up" attitude rather than talking to you positively about what could look good on you. Even when I share my preferences and typical size, I'm often presented with clothing that feels mismatched to what I've expressed I like. At this point, it feels less like a mistake and more like inexperience or a lack of understanding of how to style different body types. Additionally, hiring only sales staff who look and act "trendy" misses the mark when it comes to connecting with the broader demographic of women who should be embraced and celebrated as valued customers. It's too bad, because the clothes themselves are cute - but the experience has become so unpleasant that I will be taking this place off my list of places to shop.

Perhaps it's the tidy size of the store itself? I'm like most men. We don't really like to shop for clothes. The larger stores tend to overwhelm me. I like that I know what this store has. She felt she wanted a larger size. We went back today to exchange the pair for a larger size. As she was trying on, the owner of the store steps out from the back and in a nasty tone was like I thought we decided on the other pair. I also noticed her whispering to the sales girl in reference to my daughter. I could tell she was annoyed with us. I didn't understand the attitude. We we're keeping the shoes. It was just an exchange for another pair. As a customer, we have the right to be satisfied and ultimately we have the final decision in our purchase. My daughter was anxious prior to going to the store because she was afraid this was reaction she was going to get and this woman's didn't help in the least. I was highly disappointed in the treatment we received today. It was completely unnecessary. I will not be shopping there in the future. You have lost a customer.
