The right most line was for t-mobile only (no signs beyond the first 5 feet of the entrance) and a lot of people didn't know that and were trying to move lines halfway through. The upper levels of the stadium weren't accessible without a ticket to those areas. There is a good variety of food at the ground level. Seats are very tightly packed together - you will be shoulder to shoulder with the person seated next to you.

So this is the new field for the Rangers replacing Globe Life park. While I think it's silly and a waste of $$$ to get a new ballpark considering Globe Life Park is less than 25 years old, I give this new ballpark some props for the fact that it has a retractable roof to make ball games more bearable during those hot Texas summers. Plus they've built around this area which include the Texas Live! venue nearby for entertainment and lodging purposes. As for the views of the ballpark, each time I've been here was in section 303 cause tickets are cheap at around $20 per head. You get a nice overview of the diamond and the outfield and the seats are very accessible via the elevator. As for concessions, I saw on Instagram that they have some special concoctions but it's on the first floor somewhere. Plus I have no desire to pay $7-8 for a hot dog or $14 for a beer; both of which are highway robbery. Some tickets do include credits you can use toward food depending on where you're sitting and how much you pay. But for now, the $20/ticket is fine with me as far as all I need to pay. I'll be sure to catch more games here whenever I find myself in the DFW area.

But the take-the-cake was the octopus: freshly grilled squid (not fried), a cup and oil and whole lemon?! Awesome. Mid-cities has TREES for shade b/c October is still hot in Texas. Mid-cities has better parking you don't have to pay for. St. John's had more of a family, local feel to it. More tents and less booths selling stuff, kids everywhere, and tables and chairs. It almost felt like a huge family party. Finally, if you've never had it, get the ouzo, just don't yell Oopah! you tourist (unless you are Greek).

Super friendly volunteers, one of whom was horrified to find out my parents go to a monster of a huge catholic church in Houston. She tracked down her daughter's laptop and then found me later with an address written on a napkin for a "Good Byzantine church" for my parents to go visit. HA! they will too. Good for kids. They have a craft tent that costs a dollar to participate and a petting zoo. Did I mention the gyros are great? I got a second one to take home for dinner. It only lasted in the wrapper 30 minutes before I ate it. Church cookbooks of Greek recipes are $15. I love Greek festival but its a good thing its only once a year or I'd never fit in my pants.

Now I know why! This, however, was the first time my gate was located in Terminal D. Lo and behold, there were even MORE dining options but what instantly caught my eye and held my attention was the "Coca-Cola Around the World Experience." It's a Coca-Cola MUSEUM in DFW airport. I happen to enjoy quirky installations in unexpected places, and this one showcases everything from an interactive photo booth to a curated collection of vintage Coke memorabilia and even a digital archives explorer. These marecoulous women get your children engaged in the historical world of Roanoke, Texas. I felt like I traveled back in time. Best of all, our friends were allowed to participate and expand on their knowledge. All their questions were answered so patiently and the children were allowed to touch certain items and explore. The kindness of all these women blew my mind. They even hugged us without hesitation at the end of our unscheduled tour. Also, we are now in their Facebook page, so Yes, they made us famous. They've made great improvements to the course, but North Arlington has changed a lot. The membership is no longer large enough to sustain RHCC. It was Arlington's first country club. I'll be sad to see when it is paved over in favor of another housing subdivision. R.I.P.
