Got a gel manicure by Jason and it's beautiful! Called at 12:30 and they were able to see me at 4:05. I asked about a design on my nail and he didn't really have time, but brought the materials over to do it anyways. I told him not to worry about it because my heart wasn't totally set on it. I'm so happy to have found this nail salon! I live just down the street and since this salon is open on Sundays, it's a perfect place for me to get my nails done over the weekend. I just wish I had noticed it sooner! I've gotten regular (non-gel/acrylic) manicures & pedicures here. The salon is very clean and the foot baths & nail instruments are clean & hygienic. They accept walk-ins no problem, but I always call to make an appointment & I've never had to wait. Jenny did my nails this weekend and did a 100% fantastic job, plus we had a nice chat which is always a bonus! She really took her time with everything & it was perfect, did not feel rushed in any way. The price of the services are quite low in exchange for the quality you get - a mani/pedi was under $50 (not including the tip - but please tip well, they deserve it!) They also offer waxing & facial services in addition to nails. This place is great! If you're in the area do yourself a favor & check them out! This is my new default nail salon. read more

I went to City Nails for the first time today, and I must say I am very satisfied. I got a full set w/ white nails and designs on my ring fingers. I really like that the acrylic is not too thick or too thin. Also, he got the length perfect. The only reason I gave this shop 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because I was there for at least 2 1/2 hours on a Monday! They were very accommodating though. They allowed me to find something on Netflix while I waited, and started my set in-between appointments. I will definitely make an appointment the next time. City Nails has a new regular:) UPDATE: So after having my nails on for only a week they began to lift. My thumb nail came completely off by day 10! I was really disappointed. I went to another nail shop closer to my home for a balance & repair. It's been over a week and my nails are still intact & it's looks like I might be able to get THREE weeks from this fill because they look they did when a left the shop. Went for a pedicure yesterday. The look good and did a good job. My compliant is that the nail tech didn't even ask what pedicure I wanted. I was sitting in the chair looking at the menu and before I knew it I was done. Barely a massage, no scrub, nothing. I was going to splurge (considering I'm 9 months pregnant and this was my last pedi before baby) and get one of the better pedis. But I guess he didn't care and didn't want to make more money. When I asked him why I didn't get a choice and told him I was going to get a better pedicure, he tech just said "ok." Didn't offer anything extra, nothing. Prob won't go back. I really like this place. I came here on my birthday to treat myself to a mani pedi. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I walked right in on a Saturday and didn't have to wait. Lucky me! I had my pedicure first, which was awesome. Their pedicure chairs are also massage chairs, which I always love. Plus, my tech just let me play on my phone and didn't try to make small talk with me, which I personally love. The salon was quieter than most and didn't smell bad. Since I'm also pregnant, this was a welcome change from most nail salons. Next we moved onto the gel manicure and they have an impressive number of colors to choose from in their gel polishes. A lot of salons only have a few, but this one has like 50. The manicure also went well and they had a small heater for me to put my feet in front of while he did my nails. Overall, the tech did a beautiful job and the place is conveniently located and reasonably priced (not the cheapest, but still cheaper than a big name salon). I will definitely be back! read more

OMG! I love this place and the service, and services, are top of the line! I searched endlessly after moving back to Columbus for a GREAT Nail Salon- Everything from the posh salons to the cattle call in and out shops- and lucked on to this one! I have been going here for about 6 months now, and I could not be happier!! My nails look fabulous- the pedis are the best I've ever had, and I get compliments all the time! I just realized they offer dozens of full services as well - waxing (eyebrows, bikini, brazillian, lip, cheeks, chin, arms- you name it!), semiperm makeup, facials, and more! I've had my brows done twice, and had my first bikini here yesterday- Got to say it was the lest painful, quickest, and nicest looking wax I have ever had! I reccomend any lady (or guy) go here for waxing- very affordable and gentle. Also they take walk ins OR appointments- so it's very convenient. Best of all it doesn't smell like a "nail place". So it is very comfortable for men or women. And I love their massage chairs at the pedi stations- Excellent. The only down side? The owners and service professionals are Vietnamese so occassionally it is hard to communicate without confusion. But they all speak English pretty well and will do anything to please the customer. Easy to get to, great service, great pricing, and a stop shop for all your beauty services (except hair ofcourse!). Prefer cash payments and offers discounts. read more

They are consistently accommodating, nice, efficient and friendly. They don't mind if you walk in feeling less than social but they'll be more than happy to have a good conversation with you if you're in the mood. They get a bit harried if there's a lot of people to accommodate but all in all, they do a wonderful job and listen to what you want. read more

Don't judge this place by the rundown strip mall it's located in. I was hesitant to enter, but I am so glad I did! I was greeted promptly and sat within 10 minutes. Not a bad wait considering they were pretty busy. I got an acrylic fill in with gel polish as well as a brow wax and was only there a little over an hour. That's amazing! Decently priced too! I signed in for a pedicure and was looking for a nail polish. A man came up to me and asked if all I wanted was a polish change, I told him I wanted a full pedicure. He asked if I could come back b/c they had an appointment coming in. I said no I would find another place. I went to majestic nails on Dublin Granville rd which was so accommodating and far nicer. It's definitely flip flop season and I haven't had a pedi for 3 months. Desperately needed one. Looked on yelp and found City Nails with five star rating and I decided to give it a try. There was no wait but again it was 3 in the afternoon. I was immediately serviced and pointed to my seat. I have very sensitive feet and highly ticklish. The nail tech is so gentle with my feet, he really took his time on shaping my nails and getting all the goo out :) he didn't try to make any small talks with me. I love that! I visited this salon Friday evening (3 days ago) and got a gel manicure. This morning, I noticed my top coat was changing colors to a brownish/black color. I have had my nails done several times and have never had this happen. I have not touched anything/used any products that could have caused this. Severely disappointed. read more

I Have tried many salons in the upper Arlington area and this is by far the best and least expensive. They were great with my gel mani and pedi. I came in here to treat myself to a manicure just after Christmas. I am barely the type to do things like this for myself, but I kind of just felt like blowing $20 (manicure and tip, which I felt was very reasonable) on something and relaxing for a bit. I arrived just as they opened and did not have to wait at all. The manicure was very nice, as was the color selection and nail tech. Everything seems clean and up to par, but like I said, I frequent these places roughly once every 5 years or so, so I don't know exactly what to look for. I love this salon that I found based on the recommendation from a friend. They are always friendly and my nails always look very natural. Other places tend to put on a large buildup of the acrylic that make your nails look bulky. The price was good, which is why I went, but 4 days later the gel on my thumb peeled off while I was opening the foil on my coffee creamer... by the end of the day, I had 2 more chips on different nails. So a 4 day old manicure has 3 chips in 4 days, which is pretty ridiculous for a gel manicure. The polish down near my nail beds is also pretty hit or miss, some of them look nice but others are rough and bumpy and look pretty amateur. Wouldn't take my money here again. read more

We love how we can get in there so quick without an appointment, they take great care of us while making us laugh, and we always leave there so happy.
