I wish there was a 3.5 star rating on Yelp because my husband and I made a reservation on Thanksgiving Eve 2025 here and there was no host or hostess to be found. After waiting for what seemed like a while at the front of the restaurant my husband grabbed a waiter and we were seated. While the restaurant is big, there was only one other table seated and 2 people at the bar. I was pretty shocked that there wasn't a bigger crowd. We ordered two appetizers to split and we each got our own entrees and a side of vegetables for the table. We found the food to have great presentation, but it was on the saltier side. Would I recommend it here? Maybe if you are shopping in the area and want to grab a bite to eat, but be mindful when ordering food that it is salty and try not to go before a holiday. I am sure they were understaffed but it seems weird that there was no one at the host stand.

I really had not planned on boozy brunch but the deal is unbeatable so I went for it. I would definitely come here again. Strong drinks, sweet waitress, good prices, and my quinoa salad was the standout!

I was recently here for an business dinner which took place in their private room. The restaurant is spacious and open as was the private room where our dinner was for a group of 15. I decided to go with the free range brick chicken with broccoli potato puree and chicken jus. My one complaint is I would have liked more jus. Pleasant service, attentive and the private room was great, spacious and they easily handled our audio visual needs.

The ambiance is great here! However, our waitress Hailey was lacking. She took forever to come to the table, and had no personality. I ordered the Butternut Squash ravioli. I was not impressed at all! The ravioli was starchy, and barely had any sauce. You could not taste the Butternut squash because the pistachio nuts on top overwhelmed the dish. Also ordered was the turkey burger, which was dry and mediocre. Sorry, last time coming here.

Went with a group 5 for a celebration and it couldn't have been nicer ! The Boards for The Table was great for our party of 5 . The entrees are served with a perfect temperature. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese - Braised Short Rib, Baby Mushrooms, Parmigiano - so delicious and the beef was super tender . We had opted to get the Dessert Tasting which includes Cannoli Cake, Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake Paired with an Assortment of Gelatos and Almond Biscotti . For all of us to have a taste of each of these delicious desserts you cannot go wrong. The price is so moderate here and the service was superb I highly recommend this place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or just treat yourself !

Well well well!!! After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical, but already had reservations made by a friend. So walked in ambiance wow wow wow! Was seated right away, our server Justin was a sweet heart. Order fried calamari and charred octopus as appetizers, that charred octopus delicious, perfection. I had the corn risotto with sea scallops and gulf shrimps, the risotto serving was a lot. Only give 2 scallops and 2 shrimp, which they could've done 3x3, anyways the scallops was soft and melts in your mouth like butter. Lobster Mac and cheese 2 thumbs up, only think I was a fan of was the deserts. To the management great job and please Justin deserves some recognition, oh btw can you all bring back the lamb shank! Definitely would recommend this spot, don't read too much into the reviews.

Attended a recent happy hour in the spacious bar area that accommodated our large party of at least 30. The bar tender was friendly and on top of her game. The food was OK and decently priced - I only ordered the crispy chicken sliders.

City Cellar offers a diverse menu of wood-fired pizzas, pasta, steaks, and more. This restaurant also has a bar with so many crafted cocktails. My friends and I came her for brunch. We ordered Steak & Egg, Short Ribs Hash, Salmon Benedict, Brunch Burger, and Sampler. Staffs were attentive and friendly. City Cellar is located in the Roosevelt Field Mall area, it's convenient for those looking to dine before or after shopping.

    Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Only rating 4 stars so far because I haven't tried any entrees yet, but will be back for an update! Came here on a Tuesday post work for a drink/appetizer and sat at the bar. Got the Spinach & Artichoke dip and it was served hot with 2 different kinds of chips/breads for dipping -- such a unique type of bread -- paper thin so it might break easily but delicious nonetheless! Would've loved a pita bread option, though. Drinks were delicious as well -- not too strong and not too sweet. Service was ok -- slow to check out and check up on us once it got busier. Inside was very open but still cozy.

Lychee Martini & Morning Coffee (espresso martini)
    Yasmine D.

I've been here a few times and the food is always good but my favorite thing is their espresso martini drink called 'Morning Coffee'. I'm always looking for happy hour spots but their happy hour is very early (3p - 6p monday - friday). I love their outdoor patio during the summer time. It's very spacious and great for a group outing.

Overall good experience at the city cellar. The gnocchi were slightly gummy but the portion sizes were huge. Good for the price. The service was great, and the restaurant was nice. We didn't have much of a wait even though we were there with a large party.

Outdoor seating looks good during the day...however at night it's even better thanks to the outdoor lighting they use.

City Cellar is somewhat pricey. I was there for happy hour and their wines were $9

Is this a good place for single 30-something's to meet and mingle?

Seemed to be a lot of trendy people there and bar was lively even on a weeknight. So, if that sounds about what you're looking for I'd say yes.

A friend had told us about Plancha and never got around it until recently. It's a small place but a solid menu and lots of wine. They were also able to accommodate us with our stroller. Food we got the pan con jamon, garlic shrimp, patatas bravas, shisito peppers and the plancha burger. The sangria was very good. Juicy, not overloaded with BS fruit and just very flavorful. The bread is like a toasted baguette cut into 4 triangles topped with piquillo salsa, arugula and jamon. Pretty good, I was surpised there wasn't pan con tomato but it was still enjoyable. This is a bit more on the acidic side so if you don't like things too tangy - might not be for you. Patatas bravas, classic with aioli and bravas sauce. Shisito peppers blistered, a bit of finishing salt and lemon. Garlic shrimp was cooked well, personally I'd like a bit more garlic in mine and some bread to mop would be nice but still tasty. Plancha burger was definitely our favorite. It's a blend of wagyu sirloin and chorizo, so it's very juicy with a nice smokiness. Very pleasantly surprised and definitely will be back to try some other things.

Tucked into a chic Garden City corner with floor to ceiling windows that flood the room with golden hour glow, this gem radiates modern romance, white marble tables gleaming under crystal chandeliers, olive branches bursting from sleek vases, and a living green wall that climbs the back bar like an edible vineyard. The ambience is pure upscale elegance with a heartbeat, soft jazz piano drifting over the clink of Negroni glasses, exposed wine cellars glowing with Super Tuscans, and velvet banquettes the color of eggplant parm that hug you like Nonna at Sunday supper. Candles flicker in mercury glass, the open kitchen fires pizzas in a blazing copper dome that sends waves of basil and San Marzano perfume, and the marble topped raw bar glistens with crudo towers that look too pretty to eat, until you do. It is lively yet intimate, perfect for power lunches or proposal dinners, the kind of place where solo diners feel like VIPs and groups feel like they own the room. The cuisine is a symphony of seasonal Italian genius that had my fork dancing the tarantella from the first bite to the final limoncello drop. We launched with the burrata special, a creamy orb split tableside over heirloom tomatoes so juicy they burst like summer fireworks, draped in 25 year balsamic and peppery arugula that sang harmony. The octopus carpaccio arrived shaved paper thin, citrus kissed and tender as a first kiss, dotted with Calabrian chile oil that added just enough heat to wake the palate. For pasta, the cacio e pepe was wheeled out on a cheese cart, tossed in a hollowed Pecorino wheel until the strands glistened like silk, pepper popping like tiny firecrackers. My branzino was filleted tableside, skin crisped to bronze perfection, lounging over lemony caponata and roasted fingering potatoes that soaked up every drop of Ligurian olive oil. The veal Milanese towered like a golden cathedral, pounded thin and fried to shattering crunch, perched atop a rocket salad that cut the richness like a sports car on a coastal road. Pizza from the dome? The tartufata arrived blistered and leopard spotted, blanketed in fontina, wild mushrooms, and shaved black truffle that perfumed the air like a Tuscan forest after rain. Desserts sealed the romance, the tiramisu deconstructed in a martini glass with espresso soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone clouds, and cocoa dust that melted into pure joy, while the bomboloni trio arrived hot and sugared, oozing Nutella, pistachio, and passionfruit like edible lava lamps. Portions are generous yet refined, prices feel like a Roman holiday steal ($28 to $52 entrees), and the wine list is a 300 bottle love letter to Italy with a Barolo vertical that paired like destiny. Service was the Michelin worthy encore, a masterclass in hospitality that turned strangers into insiders before the bread basket hit the table. Our server Luca greeted us with a megawatt smile and a complimentary prosecco toast "because beautiful nights deserve beautiful beginnings," then guided us through the menu like a Roman tour guide, suggesting the perfect Vermentino to slice through the octopus acidity. He timed courses with Ferrari precision, bread refilled warm and rosemary flecked before we noticed it empty, and when I mentioned a dairy sensitivity he orchestrated cashew based tiramisu without missing a beat. The sommelier swooped in with a Super Tuscan flight decanted tableside with theatrical flair, while the chef patron emerged to present the truffle pizza shaved live like black diamond snow. Water glasses stayed topped like the Trevi Fountain, plates cleared ninja style, and the manager glided by in a tailored suit to gift us housemade limoncello shots "for the stroll home, or the Uber, we celebrate both." Every staff member radiated genuine warmth, remembering our names, celebrating an engagement with a sparkler topped affogato, and turning dinner into a memory we will replay like a favorite Fellini film. Novita is a five star sanctuary where Italian soul, sensational flavors, and service that spoils you silly collide in a burst of pure delight. Whether you are toasting a milestone, wooing a foodie, or simply treating yourself to la dolce vita, book a table by the window, bring your stretchy pants, and prepare to fall head over heels.
