I had tried to have a civil conversation with her from the get go but she only screamed in my face and then didn't approach me again after that. Only bossing my partner around "Telling him what to tell me" lol ok lady The apartment above the shop that we chose to rent was because of convenience and amenities, Due to us starting a family. But the stress caused from moving into this apartment and dealing with this awful woman caused us to lose our son when I was 8 months pregnant. Just recently I have had to install a Security camera and start recording our interactions as they have been trying to intimidate/scare us over a parking space. afraid that soon I will have to get a restraining order against her for harassment and tampering with my property. I ordered flowers online for a friend who'd lost his Mom. We wanted to send him something beautiful in an effort to add some cheer to his day. Our $175 arrangement, plus delivery fees never made it to him. City Blooms stated they left it outside in a secure area. The intended recipient never received the flowers. Though it's not City Blooms fault, it wasn't mine either. There was no refund offered or issued. Not even for the delivery fee. When I spoke w/them about the non delivery, I was told it was outside of their delivery area to begin with. As if this somehow removed their responsibility to deliver the flowers. When I placed the order I was charged and paid for a delivery fee. They should have declined the delivery to the Hype Park / Bronzeville area on 33rd street, if delivering the flowers were an issue. I've purchased from them in the past with no problem. I won' t, however, use their services again...unless I'm going to them to pick up the flowers. read more

I always buy my flowers at A New Leaf, but today when I called them about picking up a bouquet for tonight's passover dinner the guy who picked up the phone pretty much bit my head off and told me it was a VERY busy day. Yes, flower grinch...we're all busy people! Perhaps he celebrates Passover too and is upset he can't eat carbs for 8 days? OK, rude flower guy from A New Leaf...I'll buy my passover gift somewhere else. Just when I was thinking of heading to Galleria to purchase a bottle of kosher wine (which I'm guessing doesn't taste very good) I pass by Chicagoblooms. This flower shop just seemed to have appeared out of the blue. I walked in and they informed me that they had just moved their store from State & Elm yesterday...wow, it's flower fate! The guy who helped me was very friendly and helpful (he could teach my friend over at A New Leaf a thing or two about customer service). I left with gorgeous flowers that I must say look really good on my kitchen table right now...not sure if I can part with them to give them away tonight! :) Chicagoblooms is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and I"ll be buying all my flowers from there until the A New Leaf grinch sends me flowers to apologize... read more

I choose to have Chicago Blooms do my wedding flowers, that was my mistake. I went into the shop the day before my wedding to check on my flowers and they had ordered white instead of fuschia for my reception. It changed the whole look my recpetion. Then 10 minutes before I walked down the isle I was informed that my flower girls had no flowers (my quick thinking planner saved the day by pulling out flowers from the alter arrangement) After the wedding I went into the shop to talk about the issues and I did not receive one apology nor was I compensated for incorrect flowers at my reception. They did send my flower girls flowers for the forgotten ones but that was it, Look else where for event flowers. read more

I got a boquet of flowers the other night, expecting excellence based upon previous reviews. I called ahead to place an order because I was in a rush, but the order wasn't ready, so I had to wait 10 minutes for them to throw together the boquet. To top it off, they tried to pass off subpar flowers with brown specks and petals falling off, and this was at 3.50 per lilly and 7.50 per rose! Admittedly, it might be a better place for arrangements, centerpieces, weddings, etc. But for your standard boquet, it's nothing special. I'll go again because it's convenient, but with lower expectations. read more

I don't want to walk into a flower shop and see 5 roses, some draining sweetpeas, and sprigs of green stuff sparingly strewn about.....I WANT A FLOWER SHOP with an exceptional amount of flowers all around you that you might mistake it for a secret garden. I can't say anything about Chicagoblooms's flower arrangements. I ordered them online for delivery to a funeral which I couldn't attend, and it would be a bit awkward calling the recipient's family to ask, "Hey, how were the flowers I sent, good?" In such instances, you don't buy the cheapest offering, and just hope for the best. I will say something about their customer service, though...it could be better. Next day after scheduled delivery, I was yet to receive a delivery confirmation. I emailed them about it, got no response. So I called, had a Dan answer the phone. He was rude. In a curt tone, he started preaching to me on how they deliver hundreds of flowers each day and don't have time to email everybody. He asked (again, curtly) for the recipient's name, then sounded put off by its pronunciation/spelling. Hey Dan, the shop you work at is in ukrainian village, welcome to the neighborhood, not all recipients in the area will be named Brian, Karen, or Eddy. Anyways, if the phone contact I had with Chicagoblooms is any indication of their goods, I have some doubts now about exactly what they delivered to my friend's father's funeral. I could be wrong though, hopefully am. Either way, Chicagoblooms will not get my business again. read more

OK, so flowers are not my strong point. I can appreciate a beautiful arrangement, but I could not put one together. I called ahead explaining that I was in need of a beautiful bouquet for my beautiful niece. I explained the colors that I wanted incorporated in the bouquet and that I was willing to spend whatever it took to brighten up my niece's day. I walked in and was greeted with a super nice lady at the cashier and one not so happy woman making the arrangement. When I asked about how she was going to ribbon the piece she looked at me and explained "I am not finished". Now I have to say the final work was beautifully done and lasted about 4 days, but service...ehh. Aren't you supposed to leave a flower shop feeling happy? read more

I was looking for a quick delivery of flowers on a Friday after a friend had done me a very unexpected and very appreciated favor. I saw online that City Blooms offered same day delivery, as long as orders were placed before 11 a.m. I placed my order at 10:40 and received an email from the florist (not the online service) confirming my order at 10:53. Then I got an email that they couldn't deliver the flowers until Monday DESPITE WHAT THEIR WEBSITE CLAIMED. To make matters worse, Tina (don't know if she's the owner - I hope not) continually claimed via email that she didn't get the order until after 11. SO PATENTLY NOT TRUE. Then she told me they were closed and couldn't do anything. Couldn't recommend another florist, couldn't help me in any way. Yeah, I know I'm just ordering a crappy one-time bouquet, not a wedding or big-time event. But still...the way you treat your smallest customers is the way you think about your biggest customers. Please don't ever order from here if you're working on a tight timeline and/or don't have any room for error or uh....a florist not willing to stand by their online advertising claim. read more

I recently placed a floral order online from Chicagoblooms. I paid $65.00 plus delivery & tax, a total of $81.00. The recipients of the product e-mailed me an image of the flowers upon my request. and to my amazement, the product bought from above florist was extremely inferior to what I expected and paid for. In fact, I was quite embarassed to have given such a floral gift of this poor quality & taste to my niece & husband who were the recipients. I have ordered flowers online numerous times before from OTHER florists around the country and I have always been satisfied that I could say about them, I "got my money's worth." With ChicagoBlooms, I felt I had wasted my money with a floral product worth no more than $20.00 instead of $81.00 that I actually paid for. I have to add that ChicagoBlooms customer service is also poor, unfriendly and unhelpful. I talked to the manager tactfully regarding the above subject and also earlier for untimely delivery of my order and he responded unprofessional and short with his comments. If I were the manager or sales person at a store where a customer calls regarding a complaint, I would say, "I'm sorry. We'll try to be of better assistance for you next time and we look forward to serving you again." In conclusion, I will NEVER use CHICAGOBLOOMS at N. Wells, Chicago again. read more

This shop has a great floral selection from all over the world. I love the peonies which i found there in january, can you believe that! The christmas trees that they had displayed for the holidays were so beautiful. The staff was amazing, so much fun to talk to them, they made me feel like a best friend. Prices were fair and even better than some other places. Can't wait to go back for my next event. They give you a beautiful arrangement of unusual flowers that rival any other florist I have ever used. The owner and her entire staff are extremely creative and do wonders.
