Lindsay made a bouquet, a boutonniere, and cake flowers for our wedding, and they were so beautiful! I recommend this place to anyone.

I wanted to order flowers for my wedding and assemble them together with my bridesmaids to be kind to our budget and because I've done this with some other friends for their weddings and think it's so fun! I contacted Lindsay at Cornell Florist because I wanted to work with a small business in my neighborhood if possible. I'm so glad that I did! I sent Lindsay some examples of what I wanted and we went back and forth to get the flowers right. The flowers were absolutely beautiful! They were grouped by bouquets/table settings/boutonnières/etc. and Lindsay gave me a sheet instructing what flower types went with what setting. The were beautiful, fresh, and smelled amazing. I had so much fun making the bouquets and table settings with my bridesmaids and loved that the flower arrangements and everything were something we created ourselves. She was even able to get us prairie grasses for our desired urban prairie feel! I highly recommend working with Lindsay for your wedding!

This bouquet was exactly what she imagined.

I've only had one wedding so far, but if I have another I will definitely get the flower arrangements from Cornell again. Lindsay was so kind and responsive when I first contacted the store. When we met in person to talk about our aesthetic, she took extensive notes on everything that me and my wife threw at her and she was able to distill all of our abstract thoughts into exactly what we imagined. We couldn't have been more blown away by the result.

Oldest flower shop around...original cooler and cash register.

Lovely shop without all the plastic that usually pervades flower shops. She usually has unique houseplants for sale too and I can hardly stop myself from grabbing one when I visit. Stop in the store when you have a chance to see for yourself!

I reached out to Lindsay again to order a cascade bouquet in vivid colors and it turned out beautifully. She also said that the extra $3 charged for the corsage was a mistake and one-time order corsage is indeed $25. So she applied the $3 to my bouquet order. I appreciate her clarifying the situation and taking the $3 off my bouquet. I used the bouquet for a photo shoot and am excited to see how it looks in the photos!

Cornell Florist did the flowers for my wedding, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I found Cornell online when I saw a local event they had styled. The photos on their website and Instagram were beautiful, and the arrangements were the exact style I was looking for - they have a very wild and organic look to them - they don't look like cookie cutter floral arrangements. I also had priced out some other florists in the city, and I felt like Cornell was competitively priced for the area. They have a cute little shop in Hyde Park, and the girls that run it are so helpful and friendly. I worked with Lindsay from start to finish. She was very patient with me (and all of my changes to to the plan) over the month's leading up to the wedding. She really understood the look I was going for, and executed it perfectly. She went above and beyond. I thought delivery was just going to be a drop off / pick up - but not only did Lindsay deliver and install everything for the initial set up, she even returned for the room flip to make sure all the dinner tables looked perfect, and then came back again for tear down. She even hauled away all the table arrangements at the end of the night to donate them, we didn't have to worry about clean up at all. We received so many compliments on the flowers that day. They really made the venue come to life. I would highly recommend working with Cornell for your event.

I went a couple of years ago, new in town, to get a bouquet for a friend, and they did an absolutely gorgeous job with it -- above and beyond any expectations (I was just expecting maybe a bunch of tulips in a vase and ended up with a gorgeous arrangement!). So, when I got married a couple of weeks ago in a very small wedding at the Point, I knew where to go. They worked with my budget and created an absolutely gorgeous (and long-lasting!) bouquet; the corsages (2) and boutonnieres (3) were beautiful, and I bought a bunch of extra flowers to put in vases for our tables at Pizza Capri. Our grand total was $162 -- absolutely within budget, and I was so incredibly impressed. I am recommending Cornell Florist to everyone I know!

Not your average request, but Lindsay went with it and helped me to feel like we were truly in good hands.

It's always weird to me when businesses don't let me spend my own money with them. I tried to buy…read moresome flowers but it was only $15. I went to pay and was told it was a $25 minimum. It's just weird at this point in time. Especially with fifty other flower shops to choose from.

If you're looking for beautiful, long-lasting flowers..this is the place for you. If you are…read morelooking for customer service..RUN elsewhere. We stopped in Thursday before Mother's Day on a large last minute decoration request for our job. It was my first time there and I've never bought flowers in bulk so it took us some time asking questions and running numbers. The first interaction that left a bad taste in my mouth was a worker barking at me to stay away from the carnation buckets that another worker had said I could choose from. "There's nothing back there for little girls" was his way of telling me, a 33 yr old WOMAN, not to pick from the carnations. I wanted to immediately leave, but knew we needed these flowers and this may be the only place we can find a large amount last minute. Then, when we finally were ready to check out, the owner (or the man behind the desk) was adamant that our client's card numbers weren't going to work because he needed 16 digits. I explained AMEX only has 15. It seems their systems are dated, so the owner had to call the card reader vendor which held things up and a line began to form. We didn't want to cause stress for anyone so we assured him multiple times he can take other guests before us so they didn't need to wait. He declined and continued to insist that it was our fault we didn't have the correct card numbers, but continued to speak with the vendor (who later confirmed that AX only has 15 numbers...). None of the other customers were complaining at all..but the WORKERS started making unnecessary and rude comments about us and how long it was taking. I was on the phone with my boss trying to figure out another option while the owner was on the phone with the vendor and things were feeling really stressful already, let alone having staff talk about us in front of the entire store. "This has turned into so much of a nightmare." "This is ridiculous." I told one of them that we had offered for others to go ahead of us in line, but he said they couldn't because the car had been loaded already. Finally, I was so stressed that I put it on my personal credit card just to get out of there. Rushed out of there with my receipt only to see they had unloaded my car- so now I had to wait for them to reload...after they were rushing us! Never in my life have I been heckled at by the employees of a business where I am spending $1000...I was shocked and felt disrespected..like they thought we didn't have the money to cover our bill, and that just because we took longer than an average transaction, we were inconveniencing them. The only reason I decided to still purchase with them is because it was last minute and right before Mother's Day and our options were slim. But to choose to return...absolutely not.
