I came in to get some Q to go. The young servers were nice and got the food out quickly. The ambiance is casual. The pulled pork was good same for the okra and fresh fries! The scanner was down but from your phone number your points can be loaded. This location is good although small inside compared to Johns creek or Decatur.

I'm not really a barbecue person, but my mother was craving BBQ, so I went along with it. I didn't order any for myself -- I just picked up a banana pudding and tasted the BBQ. From my experience, the BBQ was fair -- nothing to write home about. My mother thought it was dry and lacking sauce at first, but by the time she got to the bottom, she found the sauce (lol). The banana pudding, on the other hand, was delicious! The restaurant was clean, and the service was great. Overall, I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10!

We love this place; however it is different from when it first opened. They set high expectations and have not been able to get back there. I was impressed with the quality of food is not as good and their turn around time on cooking the food(which has not changed). The quality of customer service depends on the individual that is there. The dining had two families eating when before we seen it packed to the rim. It is spacious for groups. We like ordering sides and dessert. Every now and then we may order meats, but not often.

Service at the drive thru was impeccable. The young man taking my order was very patient and asked me questions respectfully. I did have to pull forward, but I didn't wait long. The food came out hot. I ordered the two meat plate. There was an up charge for the beef brisket. I also got ribs, green beans with bacon and their mac & cheese with sweet barbecue sauce. The brisket was very dry. I think it was smoked an hour or two longer than the 18 hours. It was a bit dry, maybe because it wasn't pork. I don't know. The ribs were on point, very tasty, very tender. The green beans were very flavorful, and the macaroni and cheese was good but could have used a little bit of salt and pepper or some other type of seasoning. I'll return, but I'll know not to get the brisket for sure it's not worth the four dollar up charge. I did sign up for the five dollar savings but you have to make a $30 or more purchase in order to use that coupon.

This was a pick up order, placed online. Very easy process, easy to navigate & order everything you want, and pay. We pass CB all the time & this is my first time in. Very nice building on Buford Drive, across from The Exchange. On the corner, can't miss it. Easy parking!! A fair crowd at 5:30 pm on Monday, when the GA football game was in progress. I didn't notice TV's but that wasn't my focus. I walked to the counter & was happily greeted by a very sweet woman who got my order right away. I said thanks & headed home. Pics will show you what we got- I didn't get pics of everything, but you will get the idea. They got the order right, so great there!! Portions for the brisket was pretty good, but the not sloppy joe - was a little skimpy. Flavor was there for everything!!! I got the kids pulled pork & salad. I guess for a kid this is OK, but I really just needed a lite dinner. I added my own lettuce & tomato to the salad. The kids smoked turkey sandwich looked good!! No toppings or sauce on the bun- but BBQ sauce on the side. No lettuce or tomato either & I don't think that is an option... should be! Here's my issue- the sides are WAAAAAAYYYYY TOOOO SMALL for the price! Even as a side that goes with the meal, WAY too small. I honestly knocked 1 star off just for this & want to knock another off, but that is mean to do because everything else was great (slaw wasn't my favorite). See pics, try them out. The portions are just not enough for the price. My husband & son were still hungry after theirs, with the sides. I spent $48 to feed 4 people (2 adults & 2 kids), but if they are still hungry it isn't worth it, in my opinion. This is a great spot for lunch or a good snack. I won't recommend for hungry folks or dinner portions.

Placed a pickup order this evening and it was ready before the time it was suppose to be! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, was handed my order and off I went.. great quick service!! The food OH MY GOODNESS! They know how to do bbq right! The flavor was amazing! My sandwich was packed full of pulled pork enough for 2 meals, I also ordered the 3 sides Mac&cheese, collard greens and fried okra and let me tell you everything was delicious!! The Mac was some of the best I have eaten, the okra was fried to perfection and the greens were full of flavor! I couldn't have been more pleased with my food tonight! It was all hot and fresh. The restaurant itself was very open and clean which is a plus. I hope to return here very soon! We need a good consistent bbq restaurant so I hope city bbq will continue to be on top of their food and service.

So, I was craving Bludso's and since I'm 2000 miles away, I decided to try City BBQ. I ordered the 3 piece meat and two sides combo. I had pulled chicken and brisket for the meats, with Mac n cheese, and coleslaw for the sides. The brisket, 4 pieces in total, 2 were dry and 2 were fatty, and they lacked flavor. The Mac n cheese was cheesy and the noodles were cooked perfectly but it too, had no flavor; it just tasted like plain ol noodles and cheese. Even the side of Texas toast had no flavor...no buttery gustatory flavor that I was expecting. So as I'm getting half way through my meal I began to think I had Covid because I couldn't taste anything. So I tried the banana pudding dessert to confirm my suspicion but...surprisingly I was able to taste that :D I was relieved that I didn't have Covid their food just didn't have any flavor. Overall I was disappointed in my meal. I gave one star for the banana pudding and another star for the service because my order was ready very quick! I might just have to travel the 2000 miles for some good 'cue

The most bland bbq I've ever had. I've tried the John's creek location and thought it was much better. Very disappointed in the taste.

The dining area looked clean and well-kept, and the hostess/cashier was genuinely friendly--she took the time to walk us through the menu, drinks, sauces, and even the different pickles, which I appreciated. We ordered the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, green beans, two sauces (both free), house and spicy pickles (also free), and a Banana Cream Soda. 2 Slices of Brisket - $9 (3.5/5): The brisket was solid overall--tender with a nice, juicy interior and a lightly smoky aroma that came through in each bite. It wasn't dry at all, which is always a win, though it could've had a bit more depth in flavor on its own. That said, it really came alive when paired with the spicy sauce, which added a bold, tangy kick that elevated the meat nicely. 2 Pork Spare Ribs - $7 (4/5): These were definitely a highlight. The ribs were beautifully seasoned with a savory, slightly sweet rub that formed a flavorful crust on the outside. The meat was incredibly tender--so much so that it fell clean off the bone with just a fork, no effort needed. Juicy, rich, and super satisfying, especially with the spicy sauce adding an extra layer of heat and tang. Mac & Cheese - $4.50 (4/5): Very impressive side. The spiral noodles were cooked perfectly--tender but still holding their shape, not mushy at all. What stood out most was the texture: there was a subtle crunch on top, possibly from a light breadcrumb or rice-based topping, which added a nice contrast. The cheese sauce was creamy, rich, and coated every curve of the spirals, so each bite had these little pockets of cheesy goodness that almost "popped" with flavor. The sprinkle of green onions on top added a fresh, slightly sharp brightness that cut through the richness and made the dish feel surprisingly refreshing. Green Beans - $4.50 (3.5/5): These had a great bite to them--crisp-tender with a fresh, vibrant texture. The seasoning was flavorful with a savory base, but what surprised me most was the subtle heat that built up as you ate more. It wasn't overpowering, just a nice, unexpected kick that made them more interesting than your typical side. House Pickles (free) - 2/5: These were very crunchy and had a sharp, vinegary tang that leaned heavily on the sour side. While they were fresh and crisp, the flavor felt a bit one-dimensional and overly acidic for my taste. Spicy Pickles (free) - 4/5: Much better balance here. Still nice and crunchy with that same sour backbone, but the added heat gave them a bold, zesty edge that made them way more enjoyable. The spice lingered just enough to keep you reaching for another. Banana Cream Soda - $2 (2.5/5): This was light, fizzy, and refreshing with a smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. The banana flavor was present but very subtle--more of a faint, artificial sweetness than a rich, ripe banana taste. It leaned more toward a mellow vanilla-cream soda vibe with just a hint of banana in the background. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming if you're expecting a bold, dessert-like banana flavor. Overall, a solid BBQ spot with friendly service and some standout items--especially the ribs and mac & cheese. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for a laid-back, no-frills lunch.

Banchan offered are japchae, corn cheese, kimchi, sesame broccoli, pickled radishes, egg soufflé and rice. Japchae, sesame broccoli and egg soufflé was tasty. I wasn't a fan of the corn cheese as it came out in these little aluminum cups with cheese on top and it's left on the grill until the cheese melts. The service is good. You cook the meat yourselves here, but our server came around to take our orders and change the grills pretty often. 985 also offers a ramen bar for an additional cost at the center of the restaurant. They have a ton of ramen options for you to choose from and various toppings to add a la carte. Overall, it's a decent AYCE KBBQ at a good value. Nowadays, $25 AYCE KBBQ spots are rare and for that price point, I'd consider this a 3.5 rounded up to 4 star.
