Of course it gave the list of service centers and said to mail it in, but I called them instead and asked if I really HAD to mail it in if I worked literally around the corner. The answer...NOPE! I could bring it in and leave it for a couple of days OR I could pay $25 and have it done right then and there. It took them 20 minutes and I walked out with everything all ship shape and ready for my workout this afternoon! Hours are kind of short...7AM to 3PM M-F and they are closed on holidays, but if you need your heart rate monitor to tell you how many calories you have burned like I do, then it is a life-saver!!

Within seconds of attempting the repair, they broke it. What I don't understand is why they didn't take their own experience and profession into account and simply decline the repair if it was that likely to fail. As a mechanic myself, I know what I will and won't break. And if I advise a customer to do something and it breaks because of my actions, I take responsibility for it. They did polish the ring and it looks nice, but that's about the only positive I can point to. Instead, they wanted to charge me $70 to fix the damage they caused, then recommended adding a shank for over $200, with the ring not ready until the next day. That's not accountability, that's passing the cost onto the customer. Overall, poor judgment, poor handling of the situation, and a really frustrating experience. I won't be coming back.

I don't remember ever seeing it run. I've had it for years and finally decided we should get it looked at. I had another mantel clock that needed service because a new battery did not make it run. Took them both to Promenade Clocks. The cost to repair/clean them was totally reasonable. And they were both ready for pickup in less than a week! Fred and his shop is a treasure right here in Richardson! It's almost like a time museum. Fred showed us around and he really knows his clocks! We loved hearing the stories and how many of the clocks work and their history. Lots of one-of-a-kind clocks available for purchase.

I was told I would get a call with the repair quote in a few days. When two weeks passed, I called and was told the watch was ready. And that it would be 200.00! I was shocked and said I had not received anything in the form of a voicemail about the status. The " manager " explained that he did call and that he would charge me 150.00 for my " misunderstanding " of the situation. I agreed to go by and retrieve it when I could. Upon further thought I decided to speak to the owner , Ron , who had been very helpful in the past. Everytime II called I was told he wasn't in. The manager would not tell me when he would be in. Later that day I got a call from " Ron " who was the manager pretending to be him . He laughed when I told him I knew it wasn't Ron He then offered for me to pick up the watch for "free" as it was Christmas ,,and told me it was repaired and running but he couldn't offer a warranty on it .I had a feeling that this manager was quite insane and definitely didn't want me to tell the real owner what I experienced so again I agreed to go pick it up. I sent my spouse in to retrieve it and he was given the watch. Its not running and this is the same day ! I believe the manager broke the watch deliberately and is definitely doing something to Watch Docs loyal customers. Beware of this place A complete waste of time . No pun intended.! This place is not a quality business with this horrible manager doing the repairs.​
