I live 3 doors down from this business. The owners have repeatedly harassed me and my service animal. They don't seem to be concerned with the drug use happening in front of their business, homeless people sleeping right outside their entrance during the day or human deification that happens. An example would be people shooting up in front of their business this morning as I walked my dog. Funny they dont have the courage to harass the illegal drug use that would be much more of a deterrent than a dog walking by. Instead they proceed to harass me, a disabled woman and her service animal. They do not want me walking my dog past their business. Most likely because he is a large Pitbull mix. My dog has never approached their business or an employee of theirs or caused any nuisance. I am not mobile enough most days to go further than my street and they continue to harass me. Today they told me they own the sidewalk in front of their business. They do not, it is public property. I am well within my legal rights and they have now committed several misdemeanors by interfering with the handling of a service animal. There are several dogs on this block and they have singled me out as a nuisance to their business. I have discussed this with other dog owners on my block and they said they have never been spoken to about their dogs. In addition I have previously used their services and brought silk robes/kimonos to them to be cleaned and all three were returned with black stains on the bottom that looked like grease or automobile oil and threads completely frayed all along the stitching. I have no idea how this would even happen. I would have been better off hand washing them. They are destroyed. They were all purchased within the 3 months of taking them in. I brought them there to have them cleaned professionally to care for them. They were in perfect condition prior to this. These items were ruined and they refused to accept responsibility for this. read more

I'm blown away that no one has reviewed Citi Cleaners yet. Maybe they're one of those best kept neighborhood secrets. I hate dry cleaning and avoid paying for it any cost. But when I stained a 100% silk, beaded cocktail dress with oily appetizers, I knew Shout and my washing machine couldn't handle it. After going to 2 other dry cleaners who refused to even touch the dress, I wandered into Citi Cleaners. Danny was so nice and helpful. He asked to keep the dress to get a few other professional opinions if it could be cleaned successfully. The next day, I got a call and thumbs up from Danny. The dress was spotless with all beading intact and only set me back $6. The customer service, prices and results from Citi Cleaners are amazing. Even if you have to walk a few extra blocks, do it! One other thing I have to mention - in the course of a 3 minute visit to Citi Cleaners, 2 people walked by while walking their dogs, waved and said "Hi Danny." This place is great! One of my best finds. Danny runs the place and it the best wash and fold service I've tried. And I've tried quite a few. First of all, you just call Danny up and set a time and he comes to pick up your laundry. Yes, comes to pick up. I'm on the 4th floor, so this pretty much rocks. Then, he drops it off a day later. Um, YES. And, its only a dollar a pound. Great deal. Plus, he sorts it for us, and he even digs my husbands dress shirts out when he acidentally leaves them in and wash/press' them for us. I can't say enough good things about Danny Liu and Citi Cleaners. Last year, when I realized that I never got my dry cleaning picked up b/c I was always afraid of having it lifted from my car, which is a convertible, I decided that a weekly pick and delivery would vastly improve the situation. For a minimum weekly order of about $15.00 - easy to satisfy between laundry and dry cleaning for myself and my husband - they will pick up and deliver for free. I have them come at the same time each week and it has resulted in me actually saving money because I don't go shopping as much - all my clothes are home where they belong so I feel like I have more! In the even there have been small problems, (like pants pressed with creases when I like them without) Danny has gone out of his way to correct the issue at no charge, including extra pickups/deliveries. No lost socks, they even stitched up a tear in a shirt and a sweater....like the laundries used to do...I always tip them on delivery because I appreciate the service they provide so much! read more

Just visited SF from overseas and desperately needed some washing done, but didn't want to spend hours at a laundromat. This place is just what I needed. Wash and fold for $1 a pound. Dropped off in the morning and was ready by 3pm. The only downside is they didn't get the stains out of a couple of shirts, but I never told them about them, so just make sure if you need stain treatment, let them know. We were staying at the Argonaut and this place was only a 2 minute drive away, probably 10 minutes by public transport or 15 minutes walking All around good service and cheap, which is always a good thing in SF with everything so expensive. Would highly recommend and have bookmarked for future use. read more

People there are pretty nice, but: a) My shirt shrunk (dry cleaned), cannot wear it anymore b) My pants were pressed so terribly that I'm going to attempt to re-iron myself (gasp!) Also, open on Saturdays which is cool. Otherwise, avoid this place. read more

I have been using citi cleaners for about 6 months and have always had a great experience. I have used washio (rip) and rinse in the past and would recommend citi cleaners over rinse. Rinse lost some of my clothes once (eventually returned) and sent me someone else's laundry twice. This place has served me well, I have used it for both wash and fold and for having my shirts laundered. My wash and fold comes back in a neat, folded little pile, and my shirts always come back well-pressed. They do take an extra day to get the shirts cleaned as they send the shirts to another location. But for the (slight) delay, the prices are rock-bottom, and the service is very friendly! This place is fantastic! I'm amazed that things come back looking like new. The lady who runs the place once or twice said "no promises," but then returned my clothes in perfect condition. If the door is shut during "open" hours, just go two doors up to the laundromat, they're probably just swapping around wash-and-fold for customers. read more

I really love Citi Cleaners. The couple that runs the place are so nice, and they are really one of the few true "Mom and Pop" style shops that I ever go to. Sometimes I will even see them driving around in their Citi Cleaners SUV, and wave to them, etc... I mean, it's really hoaky to say that, I know, but it's true. As far as the cleaning goes, they do a great job. They get the laundry service done on the same day I drop the clothes off. I've never had anything get lost here. One time I got somebody else's pants in my laundry, and they called me to apologize profusely, and I immediately returned it. They were thankful, and that was the last time anything like that has happened... and that was almost two years ago. They get simple alterations done for me too, but for that I usually go to a specialist. For the most part, these guys are here to do my day-in-day-out laundry, and they are right across the street, so that is super convenient. Every little street should have a cleaners on it... This review is for the way they washed and ironed and probably ruined my favorite light grey jeans and the response of the manager when I called him to talk about the issues. The jeans were new when I brought them in - I'd worn them a few times but they'd never been either washed or cleaned. They came back streaky, as if they'd been washed with bleach that hadn't completely dissolved in the water. I will have them washed again in the hope that the streaks are temporary, but not optimistic. There iwas another issue, only temporary but indicative of the kind of finished work that they do: the legs were pressed flat, with a sharp crease that approximated the outside seam and the inseam - but the pressing was just near the seams rather than actually on them; and I really didn't want razor-sharp creases along the seams to begin with. The manager/owner was out when I picked up my things. One of the women who works there gave me his number. I called him, explained the problem and asked him to meet me so I could show him the issues. He refused: he told me he usually was out all day doing deliveries, and that he was gone for the day. I pointed out that he had to come in at some point to pick things up so that he could deliver them. His response: "Maybe tomorrow". I asked for a specific time: I have no interest in hanging around the cleaners all day waiting for him. Then he offered "between six and seven". I asked him to narrow it down so I didn't have to hang around for an hour. He refused. I gave up. Use them at your peril. read more

I had used Citi Cleaners about a dozen times and had always been happy with their services until my last experience. Up until then, I would have rated them 4-5 stars. After picking up about $40 worth of wash and fold laundry, I discovered that my duvet cover was not returned with the rest of my laundry. When I called the following Monday, I was told that it was impossible for them to misplace it as all the laundry is done together. Then, they said that I needed to wait a few weeks to see if another customer would return the duvet. It's been over 2 months now and I've called back 5 times and left 3 unreturned messages to no avail. My $250 duvet is long gone without an apology or refund from Citi Cleaners. read more

I moved to the neighborhood a couple of months ago and have been using Citi since then. They do an excellent job with dress shirts and slacks which are a 2-day turnaround. Wash-and-fold is next day turnaround and everything has looked great. They are very friendly and the wash-and-fold is done on their premises. Citi cleaners not only does a great job with their dry cleaning, but they really care about their customers. This past February, I was over 3 months pregnant and had only one pair of maternity work pants that I could fit into. I was supposed to pick up those pants on Saturday before a big meeting in NYC on Monday. I forgot to pick up the pants on Sat and in a panic tried to track down anyone at Citi Cleaners. I posted the yelp plea below. Danny not only called me back on Saturday night, but his wife drove into the city on Sunday, opened up the shop and gave me my pants. I went to pick up a suit at 7pm and found out they had closed at 6:30. It was my mistake, the hours are posted. But, I needed the suit by 7am the next morning! I was freaking out and left a desperate message on a machine that I wasn't sure anyone would get. I got a call right back, and spoke to Paul the owner. He said he could be back at the cleaners in about a half hour so I could get the suit. This was way above and beyond great customer service!! He seriously saved me, and the suit also looked great! I never do this, but I just feel compelled to write this review about Citi Cleaners. Before today, I would have given them 4 or 5 stars - I have used them once a week for two years religiously and have had a few minor errors - received the wrong clothes etc - but nothing major. But today, my level of disappointment is so high and I want others to be protected from this same sort of apathetic service when they are the recipients of poor service. The situation: during what I thought was a normal week, I sent my washing and dry cleaning to Citi Cleaners. When it arrived back, the dry cleaning had been put in the machine wash - ruining 2 very expensive silk shirts; 1/2 of the clothes in my pile didn't belong to me and 1/2 of my clothes weren't returned. After calling to figure out what the heck was going on, I learned that the owner of Citi cleaners was on vacation and this replacement had no clue what he was doing. He promised to have the owner of Citi Cleaners call me when he returned. The outcome: I never heard back from the owner. I then called myself as I wanted to send my next round of dry cleaning - 2 weeks had passed at this point. The owner didn't once apologize for what I had gone through. Suggested that there was nothing he would do about the shirts without seeing them. Note: I had thrown them both away as they were completely ruined. He identified that he would try and come up with a resolution and would call me back. Again - he never called me back until it was time to confirm payment for my order. At that time, he was only concerned about obtaining my payment. When I expressed my disappointment, he again identified that without talking to the driver and seeing the shirts there was nothing he could do. He continued to state that this replacement was just a driver who didn't know anything. I just can't comprehend how that should be something that I have to suffer the consequences for. I was clear that I wasn't looking for re-reimbursement for my losses, but that I just wanted an apology and perhaps a $20 credit towards services or something. None of this was offered. So now, I have two ruined shirts (~$500USD); about 8 pieces of misplaced clothing with no idea if they will ever be returned. Needless to say, after two years of being a loyal customer, I am done and will stop recommending Citi Cleaners to people going forward! read more

I just come from Citi Cleaners and I am so upset and disappointed. I have been taking my clothes there for a while, never had a problem and I thought it was great because they are cheaper than the rest of dry cleaners nearby. However, I took a shirt to dry clean and when I picked up I noticed one button was missing and most of the rest of the buttons were loose. When I asked the lady what happened to my shirt she told me that the shirt went in the tumbling machine and that is how the buttons loosed, I didn't understand this, since I asked to dry clean my shirt? This shirt is a one off designer piece and the buttons are very unique and special (black diamond shape) so I asked her to look for it because it is irreplaceable. When I rang back they told me they couldn't find it so I said I will try to look for a similar one or similar ones and try to change it. Unfortunately I couldn't find any so I agreed to take the top button out and put it where the other one was missing. Today I went to pick up the shirt and Jenny gave me the shirt in a really rude manner and turned her back to me, I was totally shocked. No only she never apologized but also was totally rude, The guy that works there and her pretended to not understand me, honestly so shocking. This is my honest review, I guess if you just want to wash and iron a few work shirts this place is fine, but if you have some precious items that you care about do not take them here.
