I really enjoyed my fish taco, it's pretty standard. Little man had a lobster enchilada. He said it had a good amount of lobster, just wished it would more evenly spread out. The sauce on it was really good, not over powering, but just enough to add a little. I would say the salsa that came with the chips could have been more spicy, but that's just me. I came here with a friend for lunch we were greeted as soon as we walked thru the door and were seated immediately. It's a little dark indoors but they do offer outdoor seating . We were handed menus and asked if we wanted any drinks . We were given enough time that when our drinks were brought to us we were able to place our orders . There was a large party going on and our waiter was called to assist but he let us know and he sent people to check on us periodically. I never had to request a refill . I ordered a combination platter and it came with rice and beans . I enjoyed it - everything tasted fresh and came hot . There is a large parking lot in-front that has plenty of parking available. There is bar seating and there are televisions scattered throughout the restaurant so that no matter where you sit you have a decent view . They offer catering and take out . It's a Nice place to hold an event and they have live music throughout the month . This place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Thousand Oaks area and have a taste for some Mexican food . read more

Terrible Service!!!! Been coming here for years, however the service in bar area has progressively dropped. We waited 20 minutes, for service, as waiters walked by without acknowledging us. Finally I flagged someone down who took our initial order, but never returned. Food quality and portions have also gone down. In reading the other comments, Management needs to wake up and save their business! read more

I always have a great time at Cisco's. The servers are always friendly. The guacamole made table side is a nice treat. The food is good. The restaurant is clean. There a mariachi band that goes around to the tables playing music. I find this a little awkward though because a lady comes and asks you if you want them to play for you and if you say no she always looks super disappointed. Although many people seem to enjoy having them play at their table. read more

Always have great experiences at Ciscos. Complimentary chips and salsa are fresh and replenished quickly. I like the combination plate which has a good variety and is reasonably priced. All the servers we have had are attentive. Definitely give it a try. read more

This is an update. I have been back a few times since my first review and thought it fair to give better credit where it's due. I don't go to Cisco's for the ambience. The bar is popular, based on it being generally crowded when I pass by. I don't go in. Most importantly to me, it's a great value. That is, if you go during the twilight hours and order from the twilight menu. The food is good (though not to be mistaken for high end Mexican) and the service is almost always good and the staff attentive. Edgar was my wait person most recently and dealing with him was a pleasure. I will go back soon. read more

Ok so I came to ciscos for the day to treat my kiddos and have a good day with my buddy and my wife after a long week. This dude Erick was perfect with his service! Like stupid perfect! He kept us on point with drink and food orders. Even as little as asking upon order requesting ranch it came with the food which for me is rare. Normally need to ask again while your food gets colder and colder waiting for it. Anyhow, that dude deserves great tips, he earns them. read more

Pleasantly surprised! Read some not so good reviews so we were hesitant to go here for lunch....needless to say we were glad we decided to be the judge! The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. Chips served warm and salsa fresh with perfect heat. I ordered the Cabo Taco plate which consisted of 3 soft tacos (battered fish, grilled fish and grilled shrimp). All served with cabbage, pickled onions and a yummy sauce. I usually work Sunday mornings so no brunch for us. However this Sunday I unexpectedly got the day off. O know my wife is a fan of brunch so I figured let's give it a try. We decided on Cisco's and it was perfect. Lots of parking, in a private lot. We were greeted immediately and were seated promptly. We all decided on the brunch buffet. My wife and son did a mimosa and I opted for a margarita. The buffet has several stations located though out the dining room. Soup of the day and peel and eat shrimp with smoked salmon tomatoes and capers. An omelette station with waffles. Chili rellenos,,breakfast burritos,hash browns, huevos rancheros, bacon, sausage, eggs Benedict, carnitas, chili verde, chili Colorado. Then a whole station of desserts and bagels with cream cheese. I started with the menudo. Diced onion, diced jalapeños and cilantro on the side along with oregano and lemon wedges. It broth was flavorful. The tripe and hominy were cooked well. No pigs feet but overall a solid dish. The next pass I hit up the Chili verde, Chili Colorado, carnitas and sausage and bacon. The meats were all tender the sauces were flavorful, the sausages were huge and had great flavor. The bacon was crispy. I finished with a couple of bite size desserts. The flan and churro were the highlights. Overall the food was as good. What put this place over the top was the service. William our server explained all the stations, the mimosa glasses were never empty, the entire staff did a great job of constantly filling glass with water and sparkling. We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner last night and had an amazing experience. The manager, Felix, worked with us to set up a private patio area even though it was a Friday evening, typically one of the restaurant's busiest times. The wait staff was friendly and super attentive, polite and courteous. Food was great and they even set up a little mini bar table for our party of 20. Price was reasonable and it was a fantastic experience - can't say enough good things about the event! read more

Met a a couple friends here on taco Tuesday and HH was great! My friends said the tacos were tasty and my ceviche was excellent. It came on three tostadas which is different than you usually get Ceviche but again it was yummy. Margaritas were excellent and the service was awesome too!! read more

Planned my son's rehearsal dinner at Cisco's and couldn't have been more happy with everything. We met with Felix about a month prior and he went over everything from the food and where our large party would be at the restaurant. At the event, we were given a wonderful private area on the patio with two amazing servers. The food was delicious as we had buffet style with lots of variety.
