We've lived in the area for almost 22 months. We first went to dinner here on the recommendation of a neighbor. So-so. It looked like a chain, maybe Acapulco. Our experience: - So we went for Happy Hour. - We had guacamole, which was made fresh tableside (I KNOW that's a gimmick, but good guac is still good guac, and this was terrific.) Pros: - The drinks are good. - If you eat pork, this is a good place to go; they've always done a good job with it. - Service was very good. - The patio is pleasant. - My street tacos were good, especially the pork and the fish. Steak and chicken were pre-fab , dry, and chewy. Cons: - Normal-height tables are hard to find on the patio. Mostly bar-height. - Patrons are encouraged to use the QR menu, but paper ones are readily available. We didn't even have to ask for them. We'll be back. read more

Over the past 2 months we have ordered to go food for pick up three times. #1 We placed the order at 7:10pm. They sent home the entirely wrong order (someone else's). We drove back, 15 minutes each way, and asked that they make sure that the order was correct. They did not, we came home with chicken flautas, instead of beef as ordered. When we called to complain again, they told us we could come back for the correct order (it was now 845pm). We asked to speak to a manger to get a full refund. The girl at the counter put me on hold. She then came back and said the manager had approved the refund but it would be 3-5 days to credit back to the credit card. After 6 days we called the manager to ask what had happened to the refund. He told us that one had NEVER been approved (she had lied) and immediately issued a new one which received a couple days later. #2 We requested a beef taco. My BF asked to have the order opened to verify. The server said he had already done so. When the order was opened at home...it was a chicken taco. #3 - Tonight- My BF had them open the order only to find out the combination was all rice, when the order was for all beans. When I placed the order I had the server read it back to me...confirming a beef taco with all beans and a salad with bleu cheese. When BF arrived home we discovered that they had NOT supplied the bleu cheese dressing for the salad...there was NO dressing. As they say in baseball! "Three strikes and you're out!" We will be ordering from Don Cuco's or Yolanda's from now on. read more

So I rarely ever write reviews cause it's rare that I am truly disappointed or disgusted with a place. This place is so bad. The service is pitiful. How can someone go wrong with a cheese quesadilla? I guess I can! Al I wanted was a simple cheese quesadilla but instead got one with green peppers and onion in it. We are 6 hours later and I still have indigestion. Disgusting! Went to Cisco's the other day and was delightfully pleased to to see some upgrades. First, the tortillas are handmade at the front door you can watch. Second the guacamole is handmade at tableside. Third the margaritas are poured tableside so you know how much tequila and margarita mix you are paying for. The food was fresh and delicious. And plenty of space so no need to feel crowded. Went to a friends birthday last night and this place is nasty. The food was nasty and the drinks were horrible. I ordered a Piña Colada and it didn't even have pineapple in the drink it was the most disgusting drink ever!! I'm Mexican and it has nasty food and drinks . They need to find a bartender that knows how to make drinks and a cook that knows how to cook good Mexican food. Cause that restaurant is not good at all!!! Great patio and menu options. Chips and salsa were tasty. Sadly the Tres Tacos Combo was not. The guacamole was not seasoned and very bland. The "handmade" tortillas were cold and tasted partially cooked. The rice and beans were good. My partner had the two item combo beef taco chile relleno. Definitely lacked flavor and the taco shell was too hard. The server was good, attentive but not overkill. We could have complained about the food although what can they do, add salt? Tasted like Karen was in the kitchen cooking. Sadly we won't be returning. read more

We stopped for lunch here today, even with the constant 3 star reviews, we sat outside. the do have really good chips and salsa and a big bowl of salsa too. I had the Dos Amigos; An enchilada Ranchera and an enchilada Suiza, with both with chicken,and cheese. with sour cream on the side My client had the Cabo Taco Sampler; it has one grilled fish taco, one Sam Adams beer battered, and one tequila lime shrimp taco, topped with cabbage, baja sauce, pico de gallo, and freshly sliced limes.with rice & beans, she ate one before I could shoot a pic of it ...grrr The food and the service was good we sat on the far side of the patio and the service was better than I thought it would be, you know out of site of mind kinda thing. this place seemed to have a lot of regulars in the bar which was weird since it was noon on a Monday cool ceiling murals in the entrance. I'm gonna toss out a 4 star here as it was a cool patio with lots of plants and shade relaxing time. I would go back. read more

I don't know why Cisco's has such bad Yelp reviews. My family had been coming here for years and the food is aways awesome. Okay, the decor needs a little updating. But ignore the fake flowers, busy upholstery and faded murals. We bring all of our out-of-town friends and family here for amazing Mexican food. I've never had anything here that I dislike. Everything from the tostada salads to the enchiladas to the chile relleños to the crab-stuffed shrimp fajitas are killer. I miss the chile relleño burrito that used to be on the menu. The margaritas are even better. I like the cadillac variety. But if you like a good blended margarita these guys have you covered in a ton of flavors - strawberry, mango or coconut, anyone? read more

So I've been here a few times to get my Mexican food fix. To me Cisco's is best suited for patrons looking to enjoy the variety of margaritas. So far my food experiences have be "A-Ok". The best food I've had from Cisco's is the table side guacamole. Chips and salsa are plentiful so it's easy to get full on just those items alone. Aside from that though I've found most of the food decent but not know-my-socks-off good. I've tried the combination fajitas and the carne asada. Both dishes smelled fantastic however the taste fell short of my expectations. Flavors were a bit bland and required adding salsa or hot sauce to give it some pizazz. One plus is that the wait staff is friendly and courteous. There's constant attention from the actual servers to the other helpers patrolling the restaurant. There's even a live mariachi band that cruises around supply some great atmosphere during our dining experience. So in baseball terms, if you're looking for a solid single or double then Cisco's can get you that hit. Just don't expect any homers (from the food at least). read more

This is my wife's favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is above average and the prices are reasonable. We've had good, friendly service each time. Family friendly although there is a bar in the front so I'd advise accompanying the little ones to the restroom. Overall, A-OK. JUST LEFT THERE 5 MINUTES AGO. Food was alright but over priced but you need to treat people with service dogs better. They sat us in the parking lot (not in the actual outdoor patio)and asked us several times during our meal if my dog was a service dog and asked for papers (which is illegal to ask for). You also can't refuse service from people who have a service dog in training as well, which there are signs all around the outdoor patio. As for the food... $12 FOR A PLAIN CHEESE QUESADILLA. It was good but nothing special. Just an all in all terrible mistake to go here. This place was massive, with both spacious indoor and outdoor seating. The meal started off pretty strong: real friend corn tortilla chips with decent salsa. The waiter was enamored with his job as liaison between Spanish and English speaking worlds, so he relished in teaching us gringos some basic words....which I didn't care about either way. This illusion of good restaurant came to a crashing halt when the food arrived however.... The menu: low vegetarian options. The food: not..good..... 3.5 stars for me. Had a pretty bad experience here once, and have only been back a handful of times since. The free chips and salsa is the best part of this place. The cheap drinks during their 2-4 happy hour is also a steal, and maybe those two things alone make this place deserving of 4 stars. The food itself is decent, and portions are big. The menu is comprehensive, and they have a great drink menu, which includes margarita pitchers. Awesome. Prices are appropriate for what you get. The service is usually good, but I have had a handful of bad servers here. All in all, I'll be back. This location is a lot more casual than the westlake one. read more

Cheap portions. We ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas. This is one of the most expensive items on their menu. Price is $22. Here's what you get. A fajita plate with grilled veggies, 4 small shrimp and 4 thin strips of steak. Side plate had small portions of cheese beans and guacamole- no rice. Also comes with 3 tortillas, any more tortillas are $4 more. Taste was average. We will not be returning. The greatest Mexican restaurants in California will have to certainties: Large portions and good price. The best Mexican food you will have will never be overpriced. read more

Order tequilla lime/chili lime fajitas there was no taste of lime or some type of zest in it, realllllyyy bland..I soooo can make better fajitas than this place. We've been coming here for years and it just keeps getting better! I'm super happy Sunday brunch is back on after the Covid hiatus, so today's rave is all about brunch! All you can eat every Sunday with an omelette bar, waffle station, and a serving station for rellenos, enchiladas, bean & cheese burritos, & more. The fresh fruit is always good, and you can't go wrong with mini churros (along with a whole table full of other desserts). You know a place means business when they serve your mimosa as a glass of champagne with a shot of OJ on the side... no watered down drinks here! The staff is always friendly and attentive, even on their busiest days. We love the picnic vibes on the back lawn area. Such a great gem to find in TO. This Cisco's location definitely has more of the "dive bar" feel than its Westlake counterpart--which I, personally, love. You'll see regulars and locals, and I don't mind strolling in here on a Tuesday night in some yoga pants. Just like both locations, food isn't the best but it's worth it for happy hour. Most servers are nice (Caroline is my favorite!) but some could be pretty bad. Nice big outdoor patio and they always have the good sports games on. Weird to see a Mexican restaurant/sports bar, but that's what this is. Cheap happy hour perfect pours and super happy hour from 2-4 everyday... you just can't beat it for some cheap drinks and food! My favorite pickings are the taquitos or quesadillas. read more

My wife and I tried this place a few years ago and were disappointed, to say the least. At least they are consistent. The Chicken Flautas were actually pretty good, but that was it. The queso fundido was bad. The salsa was an insult to the entire culinary world. The beer was cold, but when that is the highlight of the meal, you know you're in trouble... The folks watching the Kings playoff game in the bar area sounded like they were having a great time. It was 8pm on a Sunday evening and we were starving and in need of a place to sit and share our thoughts about the days events... We laughed because we thought there was a Cisco's in this parking lot but couldn't find it at first. We did find McDonald's and Taco Bell. But we both agreed we needed alcohol. So I drove further west in the parking lot and saw twinkling lights in the distance. Yes! There is a Cisco's here! And it was still open :-) We slipped into the bar and were immediately given warm chips and salsa, and menu's. I was excited about the Tequila Lime Shrimp nachos and the hubs was excited about the Lobster Enchilada's. We sipped our margarita's for a while before we ordered. The Bartendress was very attentive but not intrusive. All in all, the food was fantastic, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun. The chips weren't as good as I've had at other Mexican restaurants. But the Skinny margarita was most definitely better than most of them out there. We are looking forward to returning to check out happy hour and both agreed that this would be a fantastic place to watch sports in their bar, or sit by the fire outside. Yep, we're fans! read more

Been to Cisco's many times in the way way past when it was in west lake so when I saw this one I was excited to try it. We were hungry and hadn't eaten all day so this was our first meal. We ate there Saturday afternoon March 26th with my niece out on the patio. I ordered the chicken suizas and she got a burrito. We also got food to go. We both ate the chips, salsa and "table side" guacamole. Exactly 4-5 hrs later we both got incredibly sick. Vomiting, chills, shaking and up all night. Please note, this was not a stomach flu because as soon as the food was out we were fine except for my back which is now wrenched due to the intensity of my vomiting. I have also contacted Cisco's to notify them of this incidence so hopefully it won't happen again. To say I will NEVER eat at Cisco's ever again is an understatement. I am really disappointed! I've worked in the food industry and can only chalk this up to poor (or lazy) hygiene in the kitchen or cross contamination. Food hygiene in a kitchen is a basic! I cannot recommend this place. Came here for a quick lunch at the very beginning of happy hour. A little disappointed that it took so long for the waitress to come out and greet us. I understand she was very busy inside but a little acknowledgment would have been nice. After going inside to grab her, she was very sweet but still not extremely attentive. Ordered some appetizers to share, the hot wings and carne asada fries. We also had the complimentary chips and salsa to start. Chips and salsa were good. The salsa does not have any spice to it so if you want something spicy, you personally have to ask for it. Their habanero salsa, so good with awesome heat. The hot wings were extra delicious today. I don't know why but they were made perfectly and the sauce was fantastic. A lot of flavor, not a lot of heat but good enough flavor you didn't even notice it. The carne asada fries were average. The meat had little to no seasoning on them and I could have done without the BBQ sauce on it. Completely made them taste off. My friend and I agreed we'd try them again without the sauce. Normally when I come here for happy hour I get the Ciscos tacos. I highly recommend them and will continue coming back for those. I just wish after venturing out a little bit, it hit the spot like the tacos do. I will still come back but I probably won't sit outside again. read more
