I was booked for 3pm and when I arrived he was still working on 3 other girls. I needed a retouch on my blonde hair but I was charged $225 dollars. The process took 7 hours. I've done this process before and it usually takes 1 1/2 hours not 7 hours. I had asked him to trim my hair 1/2 an inch. By 10pm my anxiety had gotten the best of me and my hair was still soaked in water. I ended up not letting him blow dry and style my hair because my anxiety was up the roof. I left home crying because I was so overwhelmed. Throughout the experience the music was blasting and he was socializing with the three girls he was working on. Have gone to this salon a couple times before and was satisfied. However, I made an appointment for 10am. I came in at 9am and the stylist came in at 11:00am-11:30am. Was a little bothered that the stylist didn't follow the time. Was told while making the appointment that only dying my hair would cost $120 so I said I only wanted it dyed. Once my hair was dyed I was charged $150. I was satisfied with my hair but showing up an hour late for the appointment and overcharging is a bit unprofessional. This review is very long overdue since May of last year .... I was referred to Cisco by a family member.. I was told he worked on a Spanish channel and did celebrities so I trusted that he'd do a good job on me.. My appointment was at 9 or 10am and I left his salon at 7pm.. Wanting to try something new I went in for a balayage I showed him a picture of what I wanted and the results were different.. He left me in a dryer with bleach on my hair for about 4-5 hours... He fried my long beautiful hair that I had to chop most of it off... I was too devastated to see him again and demand a refund for which this day I still regret not doing.... Yassss Francisco! Needed a good trim because I have really curly hair and my ends were looking ... Not cute, haha. Not as curly as the rest of my hair. I also did not want to pay a fortune (because a $60+ hair trim is not in my budget!) at a fancy salon. After looking up numerous hair salons in the highland park area, I stumbled on Cisco! Photos looked pretty decent and people seemed to say it was very affordable. I actually booked my appointment through Yelp! Haha. I "messaged the business" and Francisco was VERY responsive! Got me in the next day! Had a wonderful experience. His salon is a typical Latino salon that I'm used to back home in Chicago. Would definitely come back for all my hair cutting adventures! I've always known this place to do amazing work in the past for me and have been professional with their appointments and open to walk-ins. But the most recent time I got my hair colored and cut, i was given and set up an appointment at 3 pm. Unfortunately, I've been sitting here already an hour and a half and counting still waiting to be put in a chair with one or two times already asking if I was going to be seated soon. I was on my way to Cafe Leche across the street with my computer under my arm as I stepped out of my car and saw I was right in from of a hair salon. I need a trim on my hair in development project. Right now its super short up the back and kinda long and sloppy on top. I like the contrast. Creative spirit aside, it seems I left a couple holes back there on that self cut I performed but Joel fixed it up and I felt like I had just got a $10 massage with the different buzz thingies he used. This place is great! I have had trouble finding a barber for a while now in Highland Park / Eagle Rock and my girlfriend recommended Cisco's. I'm glad I went! Francisco cut my hair and did an amazing job. He knew exactly what to do. He could even tell that I had previously been to a barber by the way my hair was cut. They usually mess up the sides and back which makes my hair stick up. Francisco knew what to do and cut it so my hair will continue to look good as it grows out. Francisco does a great job with men's hair! I will definitely keep coming back. Also, the cut was extremely affordable, I paid less than I have with any barber in the area. I was looking for a place to get my hair dyed on a sunday afternoon and i just happened to pass by and Joel took me right away and he was very nice and polite and dyed my hair to the exact color i wanted. I give this place a 3 star because they use very cheap products and for the price i was charged for was outrageous overpriced. I could have done it way better myself which i normally do but i was too lazy to do this one time. I did not like the products they use on me at all. Great cuts! Reasonably priced! A few years ago I was looking for a place to cut my long hair short and a friend took me to a very reputable, appointment-only place on the westside. I went along assuming that you get what you pay for, but wasn't satisfied with the cuts and never even received a compliment (not that I'm vain, but for the price...I kinda expected something) On a whim I tried a $13 cut at Cisco's Crazy Scissors because it's around the corner from home. I liked the cut and received a couple compliments the next day. I was reluctant to go back because the same stylist was no longer there and went to the fancy place on the block, Manic Panic. I was taken in by the atmosphere but wasn't happy with the cut. My roommate also tried Manic Panic and felt the same. Took a big risk coming to Cisco's Crazy Scissors for not only a haircut but hair color as well. After seeing the work he does with color online I decided that I really liked his work and I wanted to take a chance so I called and made an appointment with Francisco. He lightened my hair but he didn't damage it although he did use bleach. The way he placed the highlights and the color he chose really match my hair beautifully but most of all it looks so natural. Let me start off by saying I have been here before a few times and was seen by Francisco, who did an amazing job. On 8/12/17, I went in for highlights and a cut and was seen by Joel and the highlights were awful and the hair even worse as the layers on the back are uneven I will have to go get another haircut today.
