Good music, plenty of outdoor picnic seating, three food truck options, and winery/brewery/distillery all in one! We rode our bikes here, locked them to the racks, and waited in line about 30 minutes to be seated. The drinks were good-- My friends and I had a glass of cranberry rose wine, the choatoa vodka based drink, green garden drink, grey lady and summer beer with friends. The food truck options were Mexican, seafood, and American. You needed to walk to the food truck where they took your order and then brought it out to you if you mentioned which table you were at. Cisco Brewers was nice - lovely vibe and fun live band - but the (male) bartender inside the space was to buy cocktails was very rude to me and then lied to (female) me for absolutely no reason. I asked to purchase a bottle of bourbon as a gift and he said, "we don't sell bottles of bourbon." I pointed to the row of bottles behind him and he said, "oh, we don't sell bottles until September." 30 minutes later my (male) friend went to another (female) bartender and she willingly sold him a six-pack of a vodka drink and a bottle of wine. He asked her about what I had been told and she said it wasn't true. Would have given Cisco Brewers 4 stars but for the rude, misogynistic bartender :( read more

We'd been hearing about this place for years from friends and were so excited to finally visit Nantucket. We were sure to make this our first stop, and it was lots of fun even in dreary weather that we had the first day. There was a fire, corn hole, and we enjoyed trying the different beers. I think this is one of the coolest places ever! We did a few days in Boston prior to coming to Nantucket and saw that Cisco is integrated in a lot of places so definitely a local favorite. However, the way this place is set up is the cool part. First off, there's a free shuttle (tips recommended) that will take you from downtown Nantucket to the brewery. You can tour the brewery as well. They have these little huts/shacks that each serve their own libations; wine, beer, and cocktails. They also have food trucks on site like Nantucket Lobster Trap and Millie's. They have a small merchandise booth that has cool stuff, but a heads up - it's pretty expensive ($45/tshirt). They sometimes have live music as I saw from the stage set up but it's a great place to hang out with friends as it's first come, first serve and mostly self serve. Do not visit on a rainy day! We have been to Cisco before and have always had a great time but on a recent visit to Nantucket, it happened to be drizzling and we were looking for something to do. Even though we were some of the only people there, the staff was very rude and seemed annoyed that we were there. They weren't welcoming, made zero effort to help us move chairs inside and didn't allow us to "hover around the bars" even though there was literally nowhere else to go. Very disappointing- you would think they would be glad to see any patrons that day! read more

Craft brewery extraordinaire! Not just beer, but also fun cocktails, several bars where you could order from so not a prisoner to one insane line, a little shop with their own "merch", and the location was lovely with a breeze and chill atmosphere. Best of all, blessedly devoid of little rapscallions running all over the place. Call me a grouch... (except I'm not... because I happen to have four children...) but it sure was nice to go to a place like this and not feel like I had stepped onto a preschool playground trying to dodge a running toddler with every step. Opposite from literally every brewery in Virginia where I live which is typically frequented by more kids than adults. Ah... peace. We did the tour which is a cool way to see and taste Cisco's wines beers and liquors as well as learn about the history. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice tour. It's not exactly upscale. For comparison, It's nothing like the Deschutes brewery in Bend, OR but they do offer a nice selection of beer, wine and spirits along with a narrative of the company's history. Try the food trucks! It represents some of the more reasonably priced food on the island. I had bluefish pate. Yum! My only complaint is with the free shuttle. Yes, yes, I know it's free, but don't rely on it if you're on a schedule. When I first asked someone they said they didn't know who was driving, but it should there any minute. Really really cute outdoor brewery with good food trucks and music, parking was a bit of a challenge but once we figured that out it was pretty smooth sailing! I got the poke bowl which was legit JUST POKE and seaweed salad I wouldn't get it again. My boyfriend got the lamb gyro which was delicious! This brewery is amazing top notch! They have a great outdoor scene, great vibe, and everyone seems to be having a great time! Music great also! Beer awesome... got a chance to meet the head brewer and as I own a brewery also in a different state, he was very very gracious and showed us around! The food stands were delicious and unique servings! The only thing I would change is when you're getting a beer sometimes the customer has the option to play this game of rolling dice which takes a lot time especially when line is 15 people deep. This place is the epitome of cool. Great beers, wines, and cocktails. But my favorite thing is the scenery and the hip vibe this place gives off. Nantucket was a bit more uppity than I imagined but this place came off as very elegant but at the same time, low-key and fun. I felt myself for a change. I ended up biking here from the ferry which was in interesting ride. Lots of sand. Bike parking is plentiful as well as car parking so no worries about that. I also enjoyed all the food vendors on site too. Raw bar was amazing. I saw my oysters being shucked in front of me so it doesn't get any fresher than that. There was also a dumpling stand and some other great food vendors. Highly recommended place to spend a couple hours. I believe they do tours of the vineyard and brewery so definitely check their site out for daily tour hours. We came a bit late so unfortunately didn't get the chance. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgable, I felt like I was a guest in their home which was great. Live music, pet friendly, kid friendly. Definitely a millennial's wet dream. It can get quite crowded but they seem to handle crowds well, but I would recommend going on off-days/hours if possible! read more

After our latest experience at the Cisco Brewery, I don't think we would go back. The brewery has instituted a $10 per person cover charge supposedly for crowd control. Well it must be working because there wasn't a ton of people there and not all the food trucks were there either - and we went on a Saturday. The raw bar and the Lobster Trap truck were very good. The dumplings tasted good going down but caused stomach upset later in the day. Getting back to that cover charge, now that they are charging people for walking through the entrance, they aren't inclined to leave. So they sit at the picnic tables (under the awnings) nursing a beer for several hours. Any newcomers with plates of food can't find seats - let alone in the shade because the locals are going to get their $10 worth (+ the cost of a beer) and sit all day. Seating is so tight that 2 college kids tried to bully my young daughters to give up their chairs. Needless to say that didn't get them very far when they realized mama bear was 5 feet away. The music wasn't great this year either - mostly country. Coupled with a $50 round trip cab fair, nope, I don't think we will be coming back. read more

We love visiting Cisco- we always visit on the island- probably every day. It's my husband's favorite place to be. We brought our dogs over once. It's a laid back atmosphere, we've bought a lot of Cisco gear including two awesome dog leashes this past time that have bottle openers on them! Who doesn't want that. Ya know you're going for a hike and maybe you need a bottle opener, or maybe you're camping, or on a beach and maybe you just need one. Your dog can be super helpful for that. They not only have beer. Some awesome wine, cider and cocktails! It's also fun to visit in the winter! We bring some games, food because the food trucks aren't there usually and just hang out with friends or just me and the hubs. It's not packed in the winter. Just a fun place to be! read more

It really doesn't get better than this. The only con I can think of is that this place is a MADHOUSE on holiday weekends during the summer and even some regular summer weekends. However, besides this one fact which really isn't the fault of the business, this place nails it. There's a reason it's so popular. Avoid at all costs Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend. If you're here only for those weekends and you really need to do it, come, but come early. Don't come Saturday at 4pm post beach with the entire island. Just don't. Every year, they add more and more. A new tent and stage, more seating, oh a winery. Every year it's more and more impressive. Mid week, with a guy playing guitar, only a dozen or so people, this place is the heavenly to enjoy a beer/cocktail/wine since they have it all. Sit back and indulge in some oysters or blue fish pate or even some fish tacos from the local food vendors and enjoy the beer garden and the summer breeze. The beer is good. I love me some sankaty light. I'm a huge fan of their 888 vodka and their freshly made cocktails some with garden mixers like kale and cucumber juice. Bloody Mary's here? Hell to the yes. Talking with friends, we all agree they could step it up on their gear game. Get some doper hoodies and change it up. Would ya? Parking is a bitch. It can get super busy. It ain't cheap. SO GOOD. Winery, distillery and fabulous brewery on one site with a free shuttle to town and picnic tables & food carts galore. My boyfriend and I had the best afternoon here. Beyond the fantastic Cisco brews, we tried some rum and vodkas from the distillery, as well as a blueberry and peach sparkling wine from the winery on site. While we opted out of an official tour, the freedom to buy a pint or a flight and sit around listening to live music (and watch a hilarious beer pong tournament with basketballs and huge trash cans) made for a lovely afternoon on ACK. Not sure if I'll return to the island any time soon, but if so, Cisco is a must-experience! read more

I, like reviewers before me, loved this place. How can you not? It's got so much to offer and has such a cool, country, local vibe that anyone of any age can enjoy it. My sister and I were on Nantucket for the weekend, and this was definitely one of the places I wanted to hit. We enjoy Cisco beer in Boston so I was excited to taste brews that may never make it off the island. What I didn't realize is that it's not only a brewery, but also a winery and distillery. Awesome! We discovered that they were having live music Friday afternoon/evening so off we went. It was still chilly out so they had a tent over their tasting area, but with all of the people and the action, we didn't feel cold at all. It was super cool! Not having tried any of the Nantucket wines before, I decided to grab a flight and sample a couple of dryer reds and whites. Everything was delicious. I may or may not have also gotten a glass of their bourbon which, coupled with the wine, may or may not have created a great buzz. Although their products are incredibly tasty, what really was memorable was just the experience of being there. Everyone was having a great time, and we felt completely part of the scene. We ended up playing rummy with complete strangers and had a ton of laughs. I highly recommend a visit! read more

The brewery is a fun place to chill on the weekends. I imagine it would be cool on a week day after work as well. There is bike parking if you were ambitious enough to ride to a brewery, and there is a free shuttle to and from the visitors center downtown for the rest of us. Try to take that if possible because cabs are so expensive in the island. The beers are $6 - $8 and you can also buy and fill growlers if you want. The bartenders are super knowledgeable and are willing to let you taste before you buy. The tour was very informative. You get to try 2 wines, 2 beers, and 2 spirits. It was great to learn about the history of the facilities and flavors, and you get to keep a tasting glass. There are 3 food trucks (pizza, Mexican, and seafood). All are good and very needed after an afternoon go drinking and listening to live music. read more

Casual, laid back and fun. There is live music every night and food on premises, a casual oyster bar but that still counts. Their wine, vodka, bourbon, scotch and beer are made on site. The mixology at the liquor bar is fun and the drinks are good. The tastings are average but the staff are super friendly and honestly we went twice at it was just plain fun!!!! I rave about this place to everyone who has never been to Cisco Brewery- or to Nantucket for that matter. Triple 8 Vodka, Whales Tale Pale Ale and Grey Lady are classics and my most loved Cisco products. The brewery atmosphere is what absolutely sold my friends and I. They offer live music, a huge outdoor patio with an open farm view and they even let you bring your dogs inside while you drink! They're mixed drinks were awesome. I'll be coming back for years! 6/03/15 Came back this year for Figawi! The drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. Since it was so crowded I wasn't at to make it over to the mixed drink or beer bars so I stuck with the wine bar. Ended up with awesome Sangrias for a couple hours on the Saturday afternoon of Figawi weekend. Note: Try to get to the brewery around 11am, Figawi weekend to beat the long line. My family came out from Denver and we spent the week making various stops in Massachusetts. My wife, brother and sister in law broke away from our other party and came here. We LOVED it. Everyone was so friendly and we stopped at all the different booths and met great people. We found a nice little shady spot at a table to enjoy our drinks and some food. A guy came around holding some food and drinks trying to find a place to sit but wasn't having any luck. We invited him and his wife to join us at our table. We really enjoyed the conversation and people we met there. Just an all around cool atmosphere. We will definitely make it here again when we get back to that side of the states. read more

The area is beautiful and rustic. There are many choices of beer and wine. I had the summer lager and the semi dry cider. Both were good. Could easily spend the day there if I had the money. This is one of my favorite things that I did in Nantucket. We biked here after going to Surfside Beach and got a snack and a few drinks. The brewery has multiple bar fronts to get different types of drinks as well as a number of food trucks. There are tables in the center and back (both with sun and shade) and there was live music playing. I got a frose to start and my husband got a rum cocktail. We also later tried the Cisco beer - all good! We got guacamole from Millie's as well which is the perfect addition. Even though it was crowded we were able to grab two seats at the picnic tables in the center and could watch the band play. Perfect spot to hang out on a summer day in Nantucket.
