Just had dinner with my family. Dave was our server. So friendly and accommodating. My mom is very specific with her needs and Dave had no problem. As for food, we had muscles in white wine. We moved close by to the area in October before the pandemic hit so we never really got to check out a lot of places. We decided to finally at least try a take out order from here since we were craving some pasta and haven't had any luck with pizzerias by our house. My hubs ordered a vodka rigatoni with chicken and I ordered my fave linguine with white clam sauce which both came with some yummy bread. We also ordered a fried calamari appetizer. Everything was pretty delish!! The sauce for the fried calamari was so good we dipped the bread in it too, I even added some to my pasta! The only small issue I had with my dish is that I wanted more clam juice in it. The flavor and everything was great just a little too oily for my liking. Overall, everything was great, the staff was super friendly and the food was nice and hot. Definitely will order from here again! read more

We were a party of 10 on Friday night and had reservations. We were seated on time. Kevin, our waiter, was very pleasant and accommodating. We shared calamari and clams oreganato, both very good. Keven refilled bread baskets several times without being asked. Everyone was very happy with their meals. I had eggplant parmigiana and brought half home. The servings were large. Tiramisu was excellent. We'll be back! One suggestion~when calling for a reservation it would be nice to be told there is a 3.5% cash discount and also a 3.5% credit card fee. He walked way for at 12 minutes due to the fact my cousin came in the restaurant and I went to say hello. When he finally came to the table "I asked him if he left"? I asked for seller my partner asked for water. We waited very long. Asked for additional napkins twice I asked. Eventually after the food came. We never saw him. We asked the busboy for selzer refill & water. Dave never asked if everything was good. Desert I order tartufo for my dinner birthday he put a candle and several servers sang to me. Dave also charged an additional $2.50 for soup of the day but never told us. He removed it from the bill. He is not a server that belongs in Ciro's. They don't honor your gift certificates that are over a year old. I get it, I understand the policy and the reason for it but the manager would not hear any of it. My family and I have been coming here for over 15 years and have always enjoyed the food, but over a measly $50 that they would not honor, they lost our business for good. We will never be coming here again. I hope the $50 was worth it bc our bills at Ciro's were always way more than that and we always tipped the waitstaff well. Bye Ciro's! Tasty! Flavor was great. Service was friendly and attentive. A good find for the area. Large shrimp used for the pasta and shrimp. Taste was good. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. Included with the meal Was the side salad and dressing was also good. I was with an elderly person and it was a bit difficult to enter. The restaurant is upstairs and the handicap ramp is uphill. This restaurant is a hometown favorite located in the town of Jamesburg. Our family uses this restaurant occasionally for events that require dining. This time we were at the restaurant for a birthday celebration which consisted of about 15 people. The staff did an excellent job of catering to such a large group and helping us have a wonderful experience. Very good food with a very friendly staff . The desert was delicious and the penne vodka with shrimp was outstanding.

The service was excellent. Our server was very upbeat and attentive. I started with pasta fragiola. It was hot and a little over cooked. It tasted good but a little mushy to my liking. I think I'm being over critical. My wife had linguine with white clam sauce. The clams were plentiful but the size of a quarter. She eats this dish all the time and wasn't impressed at all. I had my go to dish in a southern Italian restaurant chicken parmigiana. I can't say it was bad but it was far from the best. The tomato gravy was pretty good. The portion was adequate and the side of rigatoni was al dente. Just the way I like it, but needed more gravy. There were some other entrees on the menu that looked interesting. Not sure if we're willing to give them a try. The pizza looked good at another table. I'm a sucker for pizza so I think we'll try it for lunch. Look fo an update here when we do. read more

We've been to Ciro's for lunch and dinner on many occasions. We've never been disappointed with the food or service. Lunch mid week is a quiet and relaxing experience and even on weekend evenings when the restaurant is busy, seating and service is prompt and friendly. Tuesday with pasta specials and half price wine bottles is a genuine bargain. If you want to eat at the bar and watch television, this is in a separate area and therefore comfortable for everyone. No need to comment on the menu except that it is extensive, well prepared and presented. read more

Ciro's is an italian restaurant/pizzeria, which I live a quarter of a mile from. My family is not really impressed with this place despite the reviews. Five years ago when we first moved into Monroe, we got take take out a couple times. We ordered, sliced pizza, chicken parm, calamari, eggplant rollatini. The food wasn't anything to write home about, so we're surprised why is it always so busy. Fast forward to present. Still, the restaurant is pretty busy, and we haven't been back since. This time we decided to dine in. There's a parking lot in the back, where the entrance is. When you walk in you are greeted with a tiny "Roman"water fountain flanked by 2 staircases. Interior reminds me of classic Italian decor. Plenty of tables in the dining room. There's a bar and pizzeria in an adjacent part of the restaurant. As for the food, wife ordered the Mediterranean salad. It was ok. She thought there was too much dressing on it. I ordered a chicken parm and it was average. I didn't care much for the breading or the sauce. The chicken was moist enough. The kids shared the Vesuvio burger, which has portobello mushrooms and provolone cheese. but we actually ordered the Napoli burger which should only have mozzarella. We didn't know that was the case till, the kids didn't eat much of the burger. They don't like mushrooms and the provolone and Portobello smell turned them off. The burger was also slightly over cooked, and the bun was too thick. The best part of the meal was actually dessert and we ordered a Lemoncello cake slice to go. That was very delicious! Although the service was good, as far as Italian food goes, it's safe to say ciro won't be our go to place. Honestly, my family drives over 20 minutes away when we get dine in Italian. I have to drive 5 minutes further than Ciros to get pizza takeout. I would definitely come back for some lemoncello cake though. read more

I have been eating ciros food for approx 15 years Ciro used to operate Scottos restaurant in east Windsor prior to opening ciros in monroe. Food is always solid. I have had just about everything on the menu. The complimentary fresh baked rolls and pizza bread on the table is always a nice touch. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and polite. I would recommend sticking with the red sauce standards although I have had some nice experiences with their specials. Chicken parm, fried calamari, mussels marinara, hot antipasto, cold antipasto are highly recommended. I have enjoyed their steak specials over the years. Fettuccine carbonara is very well done. Broccoli rabe and sausage is second only to my wifes. Entrees come with a choice of salad or soup. My wife and daughter swear by their pasta fagiole. I have had many party's there over the years, Ciro has added a beautiful party room on the 2nd floor. I would not think twice about having another party there. They have a full service bar which is a positive especially in monroe. At the bar ordering a pizza and wings is not uncommon and a great choice. Ciros is definitely my go to Italian restaurant in the area. Your looking at anywhere from 20 to 40 a head depending on your appetizer and dessert choices. read more

The food was good. My only issue was with the bartender. I was seated at the bar and she was not at all hospitable! She had an attitude from the beginning and when asked for anything she never acknowledged that I was speaking to her! And when our food was wrapped I got the wrong food! We've ordered numerous times and the last 3 times they've gotten the order wrong. We ordered through Grubhub and specifically requested pasta as a sub for the vegetables, with our veal parm and 3 orders of chicken franchise and we got vegetables. The reason given is that they are having trouble reading the specific requests on the Grubhub order and and I'm sorry. I can understand once but 3 times? I asked to speak to a manager and was kept on the line with an I'm sorry. Our last order was over $100. We like vegetables but specifically requested pasta. I asked if they could send past to our home and the young lady replied "sorry".If I had known, I would have chosen another restaurant! Needless to say, we won't be ordering from Ciros again! My sister called and asked to speak to the manager and was busy and that they don't have pasta. Ridiculous! read more

Highly disappointed, went for a relaxing dinner after reading menu online and surprised to fine the online menu from their own site had much lower prices then the menu we were given. Ordered chicken francaise, asked to substitute roasted potatoes instead of vegetables, was told no problem by waitress. I received a cut up potato that was fried not roasted and had no flavor, not the end of the world! Biggest shock was to discover that they charge $6.95 to substitute potatoes without even telling you. My $22 chicken dish ended up costing $28.95. Since when don't they inform you of substitution charge and how do you justify $6.95 for one potato cut up. Should have went Ponte Vecchio's or Frescos, would have been better food without surprise charges. Will never go back. read more
