Bar

This bar is located in Crowne Plaza. I came here this past weekend for a friends wedding and was informed by the front desk, the bar closes at 11PM on Friday. Strike 1. So we decided to leave the property and stayed around the Princeton U area since there is nothing around the hotel. Come Saturday afternoon, around 2:30PM, I wanted a pre-drink at the bar before my friends wedding, at alas, the bar was not open. Strike 2. It opens at 4:30PM. Grrr. After our friends wedding was over by 11PM, I was informed that the bar extended its hours to accommodate the large wedding group. so, no strike 3!. Whew. The two bartenders were fast and efficient, handling our group (must have been over 50 people if not more). Only complaint, we asked for chilled fireball shots and they never chilled the shots. Kudos to hotel for extending the bar hours for us. Much appreciated. They must have seen the $$. LOL.

Moscow Mule & a Martini flight

OK, I'm not sure why this place is being marketed the way it is, but this is nothing more than a hotel lobby bar. It is not a center for nightlife, it does not have a great dining scene, and you certainly do NOT need to book a table here on OpenTable to get a spot (although you'll get 1,000 bonus points if you do for some reason). While this is just a lobby bar, it's a pretty good one. The staff are professionals and good at what they do. Drinks are somewhat pricey given the ambiance and location, but the fact that you're in the hotel gives them a bit of a captive audience. The food comes directly from the Forestall Grill's kitchen downstairs, and is pretty hit or miss. We tried a quesadilla (not bad), a tomato, mozzarella and vinaigrette flatbread (excellent) and their wings (awful). The highlight from our two visits was their signature martini flight - 3 samplings of your choice of signature menu martinis. The night we tried this was slow, so the bartender gave us the drinks AND the shakers, making it a tremendous value (and a short night before we headed back to the room!). Other drinks we tried were excellent as well. Drinks weren't made particularly strong, but you weren't being cheated, either. If you're staying in the Crowne Plaza, I wouldn't hesitate to head down to Flight, knock back a few and maybe even play a few games of complimentary pool or table shuffleboard. If you weren't staying there, I can't imagine driving over just for Flight.

It's a hotel bar. However, it's a hotel bar in a lovely space. But if your fancy drinks menu is consistently filled with misspellings, and the bartender needs to be told that your martini (from the menu) needs to be served in a martini glass, not a highball glass with a ton of ice, beware! The supposed Lillet in the vesper is, i, think, a well Reisling, and the premium brands listed on the menu did not seem to appear in this poorly made, nothing like a Vesper. Disappointing.

I was shocked to discover how much I like this bar. It's inside a hotel so, of course, I thought it would be lame, but my boyfriend and I love this place! The bartender, Kelvin, is hilarious and makes great drinks! No matter what day of the week we come, this place has been lots of fun!

I read the reviews expecting a pleasant experience. Not so mich... This is a hotel lobby bar, and tonight's visit coincided with a convention of rowdy and loud guests. The bar was crowded so I occupied a table not far from the bar. Although the bar was staffed by at least 3 or 4 bartenders, not one left the bar to take my order. I never got to meet any of the so-called spectacular bartenders because they never left the bar.

$15 for a hamburger? Seriously? Secret hack - McDonalds is just around the corner and has far better quality.

Less a restaurant than an experience in immaculate luxury... where the quarter percenters must go…read moreto keep the remaining one percenters out of sight and mind. For years I have been boring friends, family and anyone who would listen about the wretched state of service in the US, unfortunately made even more dismal by the pandemic. Well, I'm happy to report that service isn't dead, it's just lounging in the witness protection program at a place called the Perch at Peacock. Service here is as gracious and precise as a metronome and is a welcome respite from the current shambolic state of things on planet earth. And before I forget, the food... almost matching the service which is saying something. I absolutely loved the Restaurant Week Hangar Steak and Tomato Bisque with a finger sandwich of grilled cheese and lobster. Tastes that I'm unlikely to replicate as I return to the assorted diners and dives that are not privy to the safe harbor of witness protection and the unwashed remnants of the one percent. Damn. I almost don't have to say it, an easy five stars.

I was so looking forward to dinner here at the venerable Peacock Inn. I had worked in the…read moreneighborhood a few years ago and it was always considered the fancy place for an elegant meal. Sadly, our weekday meal was a disappointment. My friend and I were only one of two parties dining in the restaurant. The menu overall feels old and dated. It features Just the classics, which is fine if executed well, but the execution was seriously lacking. The little gem salad featured pickled cucumbers in a very sharp vinegar sitting next to overdressed, lettuce and kale. It also had very large round carrots, which I think were completely unnecessary. The complimentary bread was brought to the table, warm and featured little mini salads on the side, which was a thoughtful touch. My entree of duck was a substitute for the more exciting braised short ribs mentioned initially. The breast was tough and chewy and the bread crumb on the leg was mushy and not crisp. Desert was our last hope but the flourless cake proved to be a hard, tough dome. Shout out for the kind and thoughtful wait staff! Overall, however, a let down. What a shame! There are too many excellent restaurants in the Princeton area and a clientele that definitely have a global palate so I worry this place might not last.

Our guests were so impressed by the quality of the food as well as the over ambiance of the restaurant. One of the things that made Eno Terra stand out from other restaurants was the fact that they offer takeaway favors. We chose the EVOO and our guests were so impressed that it was made by the restaurant. Planning the event with Alessandra was wonderful. She was a pleasure to work with and offered flexibility with some of my decor ideas. The day of the baby shower, we were very impressed at the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was happening the way in the way we requested. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience for our baby shower! Before this event we loved Eno Terra for the fresh high quality food and now we love it not only for the high quality dining experience, but that it has been a part of our journey towards parenthood!

But, I wasn't blown away by any of the courses, unfortunately. The only dish that stood out as being really good were the rice balls. Everything else was just average-and that makes me really sad because I have been looking to try this place FOREVER, especially since we had our wedding reception at their sister restaurant that closed almost twenty years ago--and their food blew me away. Collectively, we ordered calamari- bland, arancini-delicious, crispy eggplant-bland and dry. I ordered the crab agnolotti which was just, well.... bland. My mom's salmon seemed to be cooked well, we asked for medium and that's what she got. The tiramisu was good, and I am not generally a fan. The mocktail that ordered-basil gimlet was a nice balance of sweet and sour. Overall, really giving it a 3.5 but based upon comparison to my other 4 star ratings, I had to bring it down a bit. An overall nice experience, but since the food is the star... I'm not sure if I will return.
