Though this is his first review here on Yelp, Chris Tucker is no stranger to Acupuncture, QiGong, or TaiChi, having been in practice for two decades. He's a seasoned practitioner and it shows in its effectiveness. http://circulatinghealthcare.com/about-me/
I was raised on Traditional Chinese Medicine, and am no stranger to acupuncture treatment, herbal remedies, QiGong, or TaiChi. I have seen my fair share of acupuncturists, who, conservatively follow their training by inserting needles, after examining my tongue, pulse, followed by some electrical stimulation that's made my muscles twitch under heat lamps. Their treatments worked for the ailments that afflicted me then, and I have no beef with them.
But Chris works on a whole different level. I came to him seeking help to treat my 'essential worker' body: I told him I needed maintenance after each 40 hour week, cooking bougie meals for the homeless in this pandemic time. The hours standing on concrete, and the pressures of my job giving to those who are vulnerable and in need resulted in my body being tense and sore; in spite of my days off cooking, my body never seemed to have enough time to rest and recover. I surmised that it was because everything was so tight and wound up, the 'chi' could not flow freely...which is why I felt incredibly tired. Chris does much more than just stick needles in me: he also incorporates acupressure, and uses cupping to release stuck myofascia, which I sorely (no pun intended) need!
Chris is a great listener and attentive to a fault: I felt great relief after just my first session and proceeded to book a package in order to continue my weekly maintenance sessions. It's helped me immensely and allowed me to continue my work, to maintain a relaxed and healthy outlook on my life, and feel good in my body. Thank you, Chris! I can't recommend this practitioner enough! read more
