Food was great. Better than other normal sushi places for sure. Their roll portion is rather smaller so expect to order at least two rolls per adult. Their unagi don was amazing, which I don't have a picture of but definitely will come back again just for it. Reason for 4 star is because their miso soup tasted really bad. Don't know how to describe it but it is very bad... it's hard to get bad miso from sushi places so I was surprised haha..

I have gone to Circle Sushi since they opened over 20 years ago. I have never had a meal there that was anything less than wonderful. The fish is always perfectly fresh and well prepared. Highly recommended!

Crazy Spicy Tuna Roll was so yummy 10/10 salmon nigiri was 10/10 Salmon creamcheese avocado 10/10

Fish was super fresh and delicious in the chirashi. However, portions were small. And this place had one of the worst miso soups I've ever had before. It just tasted like bland hot water. Also you only get soup or salad here instead of both. I saw mediocre other reviews for both the soup and salad so take your pick I guess. The chirashi I found very authentic. Rolls were good but small. Service was alright. Seats were packed kind of close together like I could hear neighbor's conversation like they are talking to me. Not sure I'd recommend it for a date night. I do think there are things on this menu that are authentic and delicious. The fish was good quality. There are just sushi places I like better for either the value or ambiance. There are places with better sushi or a better value. So I'd say I overall enjoyed this place and I'd return if in the area. Otherwise, I'd probably stick to other places. Would recommend if you are looking for authenticity in the area.

2x omakase sushi sets (5 pc nigiri with a chef special roll- fatty tuna belly on top with tuna and avocado inside), dream roll.

My new favorite Japanese restaurant in the area! Great roomy interior, excellent service, reasonable prices, and very fresh and delicious fish sourced straight from Tokyo. We walked in around 5:45pm on a Thursday evening and were the first ones there. When we left, there were still tables open. I would definitely order the omakase sushi ($36) set again which had 5pc nigiri + 6pc roll with fatty tuna belly and tuna. The hamachi, tuna, and otoro was amazing. I was eyeing the omakase nigiri set which is $30-$40 for 5pc and ~$50 for 8pc with more elevated nigiri, but the omakase sushi option was a fantastic and delicious set. I wish the shrimp tempura was crispier, but it was still great. The dream roll was yummy because their tuna is 10/10 but I do want to try their other rolls next time. I will definitely be back!

Fish quality is so good! It's getting busier lately which I really good for business. The rice here is perfect. Environment is nice, feels like a nice place you can catch up with friends.

Found thanks to Yelp! Met my daughter for Sushi night we asked the server for recommendations and he was very helpful. We enjoyed every bite. The ginger salad was good, water glass stayed full, the sushi was bite size and fresh. We enjoyed it. When we got check we asked what the person next to us was having and the server said it was $65 pile of fish, locals get it. He mentioned the name but we will have to try next time, It looked awesome. But we were pleased we didn't spend $65, we for our sushi fix and walked out happy! if we are in the area, we will "circle" back!

This Japanese restaurant is truly a hidden gem of Atlanta! It's hard to find Japanese food let along Japanese food with great value, but I think this might be the one. We ordered the Chirashi Don, and they definitely did not shy away from giving generous portion of sashimi. We also got a separate order of sashimi, which all pieces tasting fresh and delicious. The soft shell crab was quite different from what I would expect. They deep fried the crab first, then placed it in a thickened soup; surprisingly the crab was still crispy yet balanced well with the soup "sauce". I would definitely revisit this spot whenever I crave Japanese food!

LOVE THIS SPOT! The sushi here is always fresh. The service is top notch. Fast, efficient, and they are so informative about what to order. It is a small shop and they are always busy. Seems kind of like a small mom and pop shop. The sashimi slices are thick and fresh. The rolls we ordered were also great and flavorful. The seared taste on the scallop was amazing! The rolls here are on the smaller side thought but packed with flavor. There is plenty of parking located here as it is in the same plaza as a Publix. Overall, I would recommend and this place is so worth the drive for me.

And because there's a huge population of…read moreJapanese on the Aloha State, it's not surprising that this restaurant reminds me of the mom and pop places that you find on the island. It's a small restaurant but the nostalgia of the interior cannot be denied. And it turned out some of the staff are from Hawaii too so it just adds to the warm, friendly atmosphere you can expect from a place like this. As for the food, just as good and impressive. My dad and I had their chirashi or rice with different seafood varieties and my mom had one of their teishoku or combination plates. They said it's a sushi restaurant but I guarantee they have more than that at Tanaka. If you decide to try it, which I recommend you do, call and make a reservation because unfortunately you can't do it online and it's a small restaurant so it's better to call ahead of time anyway. Once you try this terrific restaurant, it's worth it!

Don't judge this place by its exterior. The inside is absolutely beautiful--homey, welcoming, and…read moresurprisingly refined. There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.

The low lighting was wonderful for my sensitive eyes. The smell was clean, but not too strong. They were open late, which was wonderful for me and my friends, for we were craving ramen at around 9:30. After we were seated, the service was quick (but that could be due to the late hours.) The first server seemed a bit quiet, but like a wonderful person. Our second server was no doubt one of the sweetest people I have ever met. We had a wonderful conversation about how the small restaurants are always wonderful. She was radiating positive but gentle vibes, so I felt my nerves slip away. By her, I was informed that the owner was usually in (most likely he wasn't there then because of the hour), which only proved that this food had and will always be cooked with love. And after my friends mentioned I was writing a review, she was eager to hear it. At the time it was just notes I took, but she was so pleased and that entire night I received so much praise. I had ordered the strawberry ramune, in which I was most shocked at how it tasted like true strawberry. But the lychee...it was on a whole other level. I had never had anything lychee flavored, but I felt as if I was soaring in the sky and diving in the deepest ocean. Then for starters we had edamame and pork gyoza. The edamame was well salted, and I had found usually edamame is either too salted, or not salted enough, but this edamame stayed in the sweet middle and tasted like it was straight from the Earth itself. The gyoza is most wonderfully cooked, and it feels as if I was floating upon the clouds, looking down on the world. The flavors were subtle, but so delicious. I got the spicy noodles, (but I have forgotten the name), The noodles are creamy, and I can only describe this feeling close akin to an enchanted forest. The pork was meaty, and the fat is easy to seperate if you are not for the fatty part. But then...the broth. In an instant I am shocked, frozen in pure awe at the flavors that danced in my tongue, and that most wonderful burn of spice, no doubt, they knew how to use spices perfectly. Overall, the ramen felt like what one would call a home, warm and comforting, as the tastes embrace you with open arms. With the atmosphere and taste combined (as well as the wonderful Japanese music that played), I felt transported to my own world, one without the stress of life and worries of future. Just great food, and a smile on your face. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. No doubt deserves praise, and it almost makes me sad how unnoticed this hidden gem is. The noodles would soak in the flavora of spice so perfectly, I found myself addicted. For a desert, we ordered strawberry and mango mochis. The wonderful server brought us multiple, because she knew what our stomachs -satisfied, but not full- craved. The Strawberry mochi was wonderful, and tastes refreshingly authentic. And it felt as if I was just a slight cloud which reflected a rainbow. And now, the mango mochi. I'm not a mango person, but this tasted like no less than a sunset, with the beauty, the feeling, the overall bliss. I leave with the most wonderful taste in my mouth, and an undeniable want for more. I must thank all of the workers who made this place so special, for this is the first time I've had proper ramen, and this was no doubt the best provider for that satisfying first bite.

This is not your typical sushi restaurant as evident from its long sushi bar to its upstairs private booths. We were one of the first to arrive for a weekday happy hour and enjoyed trying various sushi, miso cod, and cold Japanese beer. We wish that frenetic Lily's was not the next sushi exploration stop on our progressive activity as we were spoiled by Edo's tranquil environment and quality food at Edo. The hamachi kama yaki was a lovely presentation of a very large grilled collar. Our request to modify the orange blossom roll for regular tuna instead of spicy tuna and no mayo was not a problem either. The jalapeno yellow tail roll was generous portion and again- hold the mayo please! Very pleasant and non rushed service.
