Last night we visited the restaurant for dinner - first time since the fire. We've always had a good experience here prior but in the past have always come for breakfast or lunch. Last night was not a good experience. There were SO many flies flying around. I had a hard time enjoying my meal wondering if there were that many flies in the kitchen also. I don't know if there was a door open to the kitchen or what but it wasn't just a couple flies - there were lots. No - we did not mention it to our server - we should have. Food was ok - my husband ordered a burger and by the time we got it the bun was pretty soggy. He just ate the meat without the bun. I had a Reuben and it was good but greasy. If we go back it will only be for breakfast and we will definitely talk to them about the flies (if there are any) read more

We have eaten here three times. Some years ago it rated 5 stars. This third time I am able to rate 4 stars. I am surprised that reviewers are saying they had food that are not made there. Perhaps I've ordered the right items and it has always been a family restaurant. The lot is always full and the staff is friendly. They make you feel welcome and that they are happy you came. You certainly get a lot for your money. Portions are generous and I will visit whenever we are in the area. read more

After antiquing across the street we decided to stop for an early dinner. The server acted like we were bothering her and she was in a hurry. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and received the pork loin dinner. Okay not to make a fuss I ate it and the pork loin was very good. And I took a good portion home. My husband and son bother ordered the angus burger which was a processed burger patty. What put me off the most was everything was extra on their burgers with the cost coming out to be over 13.00, for a processed burger. Nah, wasn't worth that. We have heard they serve a good breakfast so we may try them again just for breakfast next time. read more

One of the worst restaurants we ever walked in to, Friday night stood there for at least 10 min.& then had the bus boy seat us ,we had to grab are on menus , sat for another 15 mins. still no service , 3 other tables had the same problem , we watched how the restaurant cleared out and at least 8 more tables where cleared and watched all the waitresses just stood there behind the counter doing nothing , after 25 mins of waiting to see 2 people get seated then got there drinks within 2 mins. all 3 of us got up and walked out , never will go there again and tell every body we know about this place ,they should of stayed closed after being burnt . never had an issue before. 03/01/2019 read more

Went there with my wife today, 7-7-18. We "waited to be seated". Sat for more than 7 minutes while most (if not all) of the waitresses and the cashiers looked at us and didn't even tell us it may be a minute....or so ! Tables were available. We both got the poached cod dinner. She got mashed potatoes corn and cottage cheese as her sides. I got green beans, baked potato and coleslaw. Two of my three pieces of cod had the bloodline in them which rendered the center third of each consumption resistant and off-tasting. The iced tea was brewed but weak, and when we were asked if lemon was desired our affirmative answer yielded single serve packets of reconstituted juice. The green beans were canned, and despite the generous amounts of bacon lacked any flavor except for that metallic taste that occurs when canned goods are stored in the can in the fridge. The slaw was fine, but over-dressed, creamy style, a packet of lemon juice and copious amounts of pepper added a bit of zip. The potato was served with two margarine packets and a sour cream packet, or possibly a sour cream substitute, I failed to read the fine print. The lady said the mashed potatoes were instant, (and she usually has a difficult time telling the difference.) She conjectured that the corn was frozen, thankfully. My baked potato was 80% cooked. I'm of the opinion that one is likely better off here with fried and flattop fare here rather than things prepared with a more sophisticated method e.g any other food preparation technique, or when one is in the mood for packets of almost any kind of food accompaniment. All in all, not on my list of places to which I must return., but we left full and that was the objective. read more

We are so disappointed. We used to love bringing our family here and now it's just overpriced and low quality. A cheeseburger is $8.80 and comes with NOTHING else (fries are $2.75 extra). Kid waters are $.50 (7 years with kids I've NEVER seen this). The "marinated" Chicken club sandwich was dry and had no "club" (missing cheese and bacon- but the waitress did bring bacon and "didn't charge me for it?") and also did not come with any sides. Maybe someday they'll go back to being an affordable hometown diner with good food, if not I imagine they'll be out of business before long. read more

The Circle Restaurant is the only place to eat nearby or I probably wouldn't ever go there. The service is slow even when they aren't busy. You see hostesses and waitresses standing around on their cell phones instead of waiting on tables. The food is mediocre at best. I wish there were more restaurant options in Deerfield! read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot! We drive over 45 minutes to this restaurant, each time I'm home from college. The pancakes are massive, thick, and delicious. My favorite pancakes in the world!! The flavor is so good you don't need any syrup. The country gravy is also amazing, with large chunks of sausage in every bite. You really cannot go wrong with anything you pick on the menu. First time I was ever there so I will be kind and maybe return. But... I ordered a meatloaf sandwich which wasn't made there. The meatloaf was factory made. The gravy was poured over the meatloaf and on my French fries. It also was canned. And I looked on the menu to see where I would get gravy automatically poured on the fries. I can't find it. The fries were good but I asked the server if the HOME fries were made there- meaning that they cooked the potatoes and cut them and grilled them. She told me that they were cooked 'somewhere'! No thanks. I like to go to "mom and pop" restaurants to support them. I am a mom and pop restaurant. But to heat an serve meatloaf, gravy and homefries is just unheard of in the mom and pop manual. Please learn to bake meatloaf and make gravy from scratch. This reataurant looks like it is busy with locals and the server was good. First I want to say that I have been dining at this restaurant for nearly 15 years. I have only ever gone for their famous breakfast. I want to mention that the breakfast at the Circle is definitely worth the drive and the money. Humongous portions just like your momma would make. However last night I recommended to friends of ours that we go there for dinner to try their all you can eat fish on Friday nights. Believing that since their breakfast is to die for, so would their dinners. Boy was I wrong, and utterly embarrassed in front of my friends. Who by the way have never been there at all. We got there at 7pm and did not start eating till shortly after 8pm. I have never waited an hour for anything at this restaurant, so needless to say I was already disappointed. Strike 1!!! They brought out my daughters 1 pancake and 1 sausage link 10 minutes before the rest of our dinners. They told us that our dinners were given to another table, and that is the reason for the delay. Strike 2!!! By the way, I had to get up and get butter and syrup for my daughters pancake because our server must've thought that we should be grateful we got the pancake to begin with. Sarcasm.... When our fish dinners finally arrived, you could tell they had been setting under the heat lamp. The fish was luke warm at best, and soggy on the bottom. Definitely not right out of the fryer if you know what I mean? Strike 3!!!!!! No one at our table finished their meals. Could you blame them? The food was not what I was anticipating at all. One other customer saw all this take place, and commented that "this is not like the breakfast experience you get here". I agree!!!!! We even saw the manager yell across the dining room at one of the servers. She was simply taking care of one of her customers that was having a similar experience like us. All in all, I would recommend breakfast from this place to anyone. However I would never tell anyone to go there for anything other than breakfast. I live close to this resturant and seems like it changes hands alot. was there 4/12/13 place was clean but only 4 customers. I asked if the hamburgers were frozen type and they said no but when it came it looked prepackaged. 1/4 hamburger fries coffee, 2 eggs 2 strips thin bacon homefries toast coffee. Over $20 i feel over priced and nothing homemade all frozen or out of the can ....will try again in a few years. read more

I've been going to "The Circle" for years....I've never had a bad meal. Breakfast....one of the best around. HUGE pancakes that taste great. Chicken is top notch. No, this isn't a 5 star, fine linen, fine china restaurant, but if you want a good meal at a fair price and it's not "beneath" you to rub elbows with the working class, give a try.
