Circle K on Indiantown Road in Jupiter, FL
I stopped at this Circle K today after driving out of my way from my hotel toward the beach. It was a little rainy, so I decided to stop for gas and grab a coffee. I had a nice experience there before and recognized the employee from my last visit. She had a southern accent and seemed so kind, which is why I was especially surprised by what happened today.
I purchased gas and a coffee, spending almost $75 on gas alone. Before I even had a chance to drink the coffee, it spilled all over me. I immediately went back inside, showed her what happened, and politely asked if she could please replace looks good make it so I can copy and paste the cup of coffee.
I was shocked when she repeatedly refused and said she couldn't do it. I explained that I had just purchased gas there and that the coffee had literally just spilled, but she still would not help at first. What should have been a simple, understanding customer service plus I just bought $75 of gas and a $3 cup of coffee just under $100 moment turned into an unnecessary and upsetting experience.
I was honestly so disappointed that I almost cried. It wasn't about the price of the coffee -- it was about feeling like there was no kindness or compassion shown. The interaction felt very different from the friendly impression I had of her before, and it was very upsetting.
A small gesture would have made a big difference. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to remind employees that kindness and customer service matter. read more
