I made a trip in after the movie and boy was it worth it! It might just be because it is so new, but the place was immaculate. It had a nice Harris Teeter or Publix kind of feel to it (I can't really explain it...) Im interested in seeing what happens over time, but if I have to get to a WalMart, this will be the one.

The bathrooms are super clean as well, and the station has easy in/out access off Bees Ferry Rd, although you can't make a left turn onto Bees Ferry unless you exit at the Grand Oaks light. Be forewarned that if you go inside after getting gas, you'll probably leave with a Cinnabon because that scent permeates the entire convenience store.

DO NOT USE THE CAR WASH HERE! BUYER BEWARE!…read more I just went thru this car wash, and it did do an okay-ish job but it scratched my paint which is almost new & nearly knocked off my mirror, when I alerted the staff to this & asked for a number to call, he just insisted the car wash didn't do that to my car & kept pawing his hands all over the car I just paid to be washed even after I politely told him not to touch it anymore. I thought maybe they would inspect it to make sure their equipment is working right, I'm not looking for damages since it is small. But he could have offered me my money back considering it was a $10 wash and now has his hand prints all over it plus a new scratch. As I left he said it wasn't a big deal, but you know, it is when the paint is pretty new & someone just ruined the wash you just paid for. Horrible customer service skills and rude.

There were three lines open. They had just opened one line more making that four lanes. Only one lane had the light on. So the other line was all the way back to the pharmacy area. Try to go to service desk, and noticed the manager was helping back the slowest of the unlit lines. Those unlit lines people had to backtrack to make purchases as if they were only taking selective customers. I approached the manager named Lori, and said could I give you some advice or recommend maybe turning the lights on so that there would be multiple lines that would move throughout the store. She sarcastically responded to me. Thanks for your advice. When I tried to explain myself, she cut me off and said again thanks for your advice. It was only open temporarily. I did manage an explicative under my breath as I was walking away as she kept screaming. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. I left without my purchase and refused to ever go back to this location. Huge fan of Harris Teeter, and every time I go to this location, I leave unhappy. Was in and out of Publix, which was twice as busy. Got what I needed and left in less than five minutes. Let me add, they were not understaffed. Lots of staff in the store on their phones and chatting with each other. Those people could've helped with bagging and movement of the lines. Looking back I should have used the word suggestion instead of advice, however I don't think it would have made a difference.

You can't beat the buy one get one free deals, and the subs are also great for lunch. My tip is to order it online and pick it up, because those lines can get long otherwise. This Publix has a pharmacy with a drive-thru, which is something I haven't noticed at other stores. I don't use it, but it's good to know if that's important to you. My only qualm is that the parking lot is terrible. It's hard to navigate, as you're never sure if you're driving the right direction, and there aren't many spots.

I've been to over a dozen Publix locations, and somehow this West Ashley, SC, location has managed…read moreto turn cooking chicken tenders into an unsolved science experiment. How hard is it to fry chicken without sucking every last drop of moisture out of it? These tenders are consistently drier than the Sahara Desert and have the texture of an old work boot. At this point, I'm convinced they fry them, leave them under a heat lamp for three business days, and then call it lunch. The hot-food section is no better. Everything looks dried out, sad, and about as appetizing as leftovers that have been forgotten in the back of a refrigerator since the last presidential administration. You shouldn't have to gamble on whether your dinner will be edible when you're paying for freshly prepared food. And the subs? Apparently, ordering one doesn't mean you actually get to eat one. Multiple times, I've ordered a sub only to discover it mysteriously vanished from the pickup bin. Imagine paying for your food and then having to play a scavenger hunt just to find out whether someone walked off with your lunch. What kind of system is this? I've visited plenty of Publix stores, and this location is in a league of its own for all the wrong reasons. The chicken is dry, the hot bar looks neglected, and the pickup situation is ridiculous. Publix built its reputation on quality and service, but this store seems determined to see how low the bar can go. Management, please figure out how to cook a chicken tender, keep the hot food fresh, and make sure customers actually receive the subs they paid for. These are not unreasonable expectations. They're the absolute basics. Until then, I'll gladly drive farther to another Publix. At least there, my chicken has a fighting chance of containing moisture, and my sandwich might still be there when I arrive.
