The Food: I got the Original Cheesesteak here, with Cooper Sharp White cheese. Had just the basic grilled onions and cheese, just to get a nice baseline. The cheesesteak was surprisingly really good! The meat was tender, the cheese was mixed in very well and melted nicely. The hoagie roll was good too, it had a nice firmness that kept the structure of the cheesesteak. Highly recommend giving it a try. My friend also got the Chicken Cesar Wrap and it was pretty packed full, but just a little salty. The Service: You order through the kiosks they have at the front. There is a big menu with a widespread of food, so happy pickings! The food came out fairly fast too, so that was nice. For gas station food, this place was on point. Sheetz had their own brand of Vodka Soda and the peach ring caught my eye. When I went inside, I saw they had Peach AND Watermelon, and if there's anything I love that's fake, it's knock-off Sam's Choice Diet Cola, and fake watermelon flavor. I couldn't decide, and they were 2 for $6 so I bought both. Once in my hotel room a few miles away, I cracked open the peach and it was delicious. Like any "seltzer" product, it could have used more flavor, but I enjoyed it. Same with the watermelon. It was great but needed a bit of a punch to it. These Sheetz products helped me get some good Zzzzzzz's that night for sure. That's what they do, though!

I'm liking the modern look they are going for, but I am kind of sad that you don't get to see that familiar, rounded awning. With me being near the end of my trip for this, I made sure that this stop would be for drink. My objective was to get some sweet tea, and sweet tea only. That doesn't mean I wasn't distracted by other items within. It was a true test to my willpower. I stuck to my objective and got my tea and, to the best of my ability, made my way to the checkout. I was happy to see that they had the self checkouts. Makes it easier if you are only getting a drink. Tapped on that screen, scanned my reward card via my phone, and I was out the door. With that, I was on my way to the next location, and last location on this trek.

I arrived and immediately went inside to attack the touchscreen. I want to point out here that this was prior to Sheetz removing tots from their menu. Actually mere days before they did so. I made sure to order my fair share of tots. I got myself a tots platter and an appetizer with tots as a part of the trio. I ordered a few other items and made my way to pay. After paying I waited for my food to be prepared. This was a decent end to the run and made for the end of my day after shopping and stopping well worth it. I sat there in anticipation of my food and maybe salivated a bit. I got lost in my thoughts until I heard my number yelled out. After my food was ready I went outside to set up the appetizer in my vehicle to eat on the ride home. I stuck around a bit before getting in my vehicle to set the GPS (I still get lost down here). Before I even reached the register, he aggressively demanded my ID in front of other customers instead of letting me show it at checkout. When I expressed that I would show it at the register, he refused and continued to be rude. To make things worse, he even put his hands on me, which is completely unacceptable. I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I understand ID checks are required, but there's a professional way to do it. Management needs to train their employees on how to treat customers with respect. I will be reporting this to Sheets corporate!!
