But Libar, the shift manager at Paris Baguette, turned it into one of the kindest customer service experiences I've had. Despite already being in full shutdown mode, Libar and her team welcomed me warmly, restarted everything for a sandwich and cappuccino, and treated me with genuine kindness after a very stressful visit next door at the emergency vet. Even more remarkable, when I tried to leave a tip for going so far above and beyond, Libar graciously refused with, "I love my job." That kind of compassion can't be trained--it's who she is.
