Amazing place to get a sub sandwich or a quick snack. Also has great Amish handmade soaps and candles. Nice little store.

There were some people at 6:00p not slammed but enough people. So it seemed encouraging. Lots of TV's and booths plus tables. Better inside than outside. There were 3 of us and we all got different things. I got the Greek chicken wrap with chips. The wrap was ok. Kinda dry. Didn't taste the dill spread really. The chips were good. They are like fair chips that come in a twist. Really thin and crispy. Another person got the steak wrap with salad. The salad dressing was a bit vinegary. The wrap was ok too. Next person got the margarita flat bread and wings. Wings weren't good I am told. Not big and sauce was not even coating the wing. The flatbread had a balsamic glaze and that made the flatbread very soggy. So she was not impressed at all. Service was ok. Prices were ok too. Lots of people so they might have something else good we did not get. Parking lot was rocks but plenty of parking. Probably not a return. Not sure we got the best experience. Food was mediocre at best.

Well one time the late great Maritime Mel said to my brother come on tommy let's get a drink, and walks onboard. MEL! U can't just go on somebody's boat.... ITS A BAR. Christmas lights were up. The Capt was onboard from the laker. This changes everything, a floating bar for the lakers!!!! This was back in the day early 90's. Well. It was on. Sonny II aka the bum boat, used yo shuttle supplies to the lakers all along the harbor. And was a bar for the mens & ladies while alongside. A great seafaring tradition. Sonny B the sister ship is the water taxi up at PIB. Well for many years now at Ashtabula harbor the bum boat is tied up & open to the public fully licensed sit down bar. The owners are really nice. Live music, have a drink. Fairly large menu board too. I didn't know they had food tbh. It was great chili dog. As good & very similar to skyline. If u love shipping, history, music & dranks, and who doesn't in Ashtabula harbor, get ur arse down to the bum boat & have a blast. It's so unique u will never drink in another place like it. circa 1930. BEAUTIFUL NEW SIGN check it out. 5 star dive bar!!

The kitchen staff was obnoxiously loud, which with an empty dining room was blatantly disruptive. As far as the food, it was okay, the steak had a great flavor and was cooked medium rare just as asked. They gave me a healthy portion of sautéed mushrooms and onions, and the broccolini was lovely. I ordered the Parmesan truffle fries but they lacked any real flavor and, rather, were under-salted. I decided to try an appetizer of cornbread and honey with butter.. but I wish I had skipped it. The cornbread is dry, there is no corn in it (which for me is a negative but some might like that) and the flavor didn't impress me. Overall, it's a very expensive place to eat to not really enjoy your meal. I would suggest if you want a good steak head over to Sammy K's instead.. you'll cut your bill in half and leave satisfied.

Like a massive lucky cat and cherry blossom trees that lit up. Asian dragons on the counter and shelves. They were cute but didnt carry thruout the restaurant and Infouns that kind of confusing. But then there's a massive old photo of George Washington along with an oddly placed refrigerator that has big cuts of meat. There's just so much going on in the lobby that didn't tie together. Tbo, kind of gave me a little anxiety. The service was really nice. Every staff member that I met was welcoming and nice friendly -zero complaints. My food was ready a few minutes after I had arrived. I had ordered a size brussels sprouts and a side of pierogi. Brussels sprouts had the most potential they gave a lot of brussels sprouts, which were cooked perfectly and we're generous with everything they put on top of it... But that's where the problem was... on menu it read, "balsamic drizzled" Hmmm... Drizzled. These are more like brussels sprout balsamic soup. If it wasn't a takeout order, I would've sent them back. Wowzers, were they were swimming in the sauce. It wasn't that the sauce wasn't good. There was just far too much of it. made it un enjoyable. I didn't finish it If I could make a culinary suggestion to the restaurant, I would reword the description and iwn up to they are in a balsamic sauce and not call it a drizzle because there is nothing drizzled about this. I would not have ordered it if I knew it was in a balsamic sauce The pierogi... I was flat out, disappointed by this This says it was pan seared. I'm skeptical about this menu description. These look like they were flash fried. Either in the deep fryer, an air fryer or worse microwaved. I don't cook in the microwave so I really don't know what they would look like in the microwave But I do know what pan sear pierogi (we make homemade ones all the time) look like and these didn't look like that but they definitely did not appear to have any sign of being seared. Rat. They were tough and chewy on the outside with no buttery flavor that a pan seared item would have. I would not order this again. Inside of the pierogi tasted fine and the toppings the bacon and onions were plentiful, flavorful and we're done really nicely So- All I ate fully was the pierogi toppings. So for 43.10 (includes a tip) i had the MOST expensive dinner that consisted of a side of bacon and onions. As that is all that i felt was enjoyable and worth eating.

But on the inside, you can feel the love from the community and sense that this little restaurant is the go to place among locals. We found a table and sat ourselves and almost immediately our waitress came out of the kitchen with an armful of food for a table and then quickly took our drink orders. She was so friendly and the place was packed. Menus were brought out with the drinks in what seemed like an instant. Our food order was placed, and what felt like 5 minutes, the four of us were served our meals. I bet this young woman has muscles under her little dress and apron because she was carrying everyone's orders out the same. I ordered the Western omelette with rye toast-I love rye. But they have lots of bread options-even raisin bread. Hubby got scrambled eggs, bacon and french toast. My bro in law got a fish sandwich-(walleye) and fries, and my sister got a loaded burger and fries. Her burger looked really good, it had a thin meat patty which is my favorite. We all loved our food, not one complaint Classic food done to perfection. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a local restaurant that isn't a chain.
