We have been coming here for years well honestly since 2017 every single visit it's delicious. Never really anything to complain about but sometimes well a few years ago it had gotten the same every time consistency is not bad but it's also not fire. In the last 6 months it's found some new specials new drinks a little more fire. That new fire I mention - it hits the menu in ways like the Thanksgiving egg rolls (yes get the gravy dip) - these may have me wishing that Thanksgiving in June was a thing instead of Christmas in July. The sweet potato french fries (baller move). The orange Jameson summer drink - crisp and refreshing. Carrying Fatheads Spooky Tooth (just thank you), wing night (chef's kiss). Local places sometimes get into the same same same (the good but not the draw to come in sooner) The Village Pub has changed that, flipped the script with rotating special menus, a brunch (think coming back soon) and drink mixes that you may not have made before - all of that with friendly staff & true short drive from everywhere in Perry what's not to love? read more

This is one of my favs! This place has always been great, but since the new owners took over, they have taken it to the next level! Food is always great with a menu that has new items monthly and seasonal. Service is always top notch, and since the redecorated the place looks fantastic. After having to go to another spot, after our first choice was understsffed and we did not want to wait, we decided on Village Pub. Saturday night, prime dinner time, and once again not disappointed. Quick seatting, fast drink order placed, and our meals as well. Drinks were perfect and a Bloody Mary crafted the way I like it, guarantee my 5! Each plate was outstanding, and served hot and fast!! NOTE: Personally do not like their policy on tipping. When you get your tab, there is a note to tip your server in cash and not on a credit card. I, like many hardly carry cash nowadays and after thinking this out, the owner does not want the server to get the FULL amount of the tip being charged. I was planning on leaving NO TIP and saying why on the bill, but was persuaded against it, since it would make a point but harm the server. Think tipping should be outlawed and servers get a proper wage and just raise your menu items to cover costs Mr. Owner! Other countries do it and they still prosper!! read more

My family and I used to love this place. Something has changed within the past few years. What used to be incredible fries and perfectly fried fish or chicken is no longer. 5/15/24 was our third time visiting in the past ten months, and we are now done. Both my fish and my daughter's chicken were horribly burnt, like they hadn't changed the oil in days. I lost my appetite. They remade my daughter's, and she tried to eat it. She couldn't, and that's not like my 13 year old. Both the waiter and waitress that tried to help us seemed like they've heard this before. Then they ignored us and didn't bring us any more refills or a ranch dressing request. I am done. l will never return. Maybe it's time for Gordon Ramsey to pay a visit? read more

We dined in last Saturday with our two small kids for lunch. The food, service and atmosphere was top notch! The Reuben was the best we've had in a LONG time. The corned beef was so tender and flavorful and the thousand island was served on the side which I loved! The kids both had cheeseburgers with fresh cut fries; amazing! I had their homemade soup of the day which was lasagna. I had never had lasagna soup before and this was so SO good. Lastly, we had an order of the hot garlic parm wings. I usually get my wings without sauce bc I like them crispy but I forgot to ask for it. Well, I didn't need them prepared that way. These wings were fresh out of the fryer and tossed in sauce right before they came to our table. The wings were crispy and steaming hot! The sauce was so good. Even the celery and ranch were great! The owner came over to check on us and see how we liked the food. At that point my kids were getting a little loud and I apologized. The owner looked at us and said "we are a family restaurant and love that your kids are here." Such an inviting, wonderful atmosphere plus excellent food. We cannot wait to go back! read more

We were referred here by some locals. I had wings and fries and my wife has fish and tater tots. The food was very good and the prices were consistent with other places. I especially liked the fries! New owners of the Pub. Food is still good, however they no longer serve chips/fries w/ a burger or sandwich. It doesn't cost much to throw a handful of chips on a plate. They also started charging a 3% credit card fee, OK I guess, but you can't take away sides & add a fee as well.... that's a double whammy. Large draft was $8.25 & High Noon was $6.50.... both about $1-$2 more than all the other places we go to. We will still do pickup, but won't be drinking there anymore. read more

We were at a track meet at Perry and found this little gem. A little short staffed our waitress had like 10 tables.... totally understand she was a bit busy. :-) However the food was delicious. Started with Homemade mozzarella circles, and the eggroll of the month (yeah that is a thing)... Crab Rangoon. Different but really good. Wife got the fish and chips which looked fresh and amazing. Okay, so Hubby and I went on a Friday night during the dinner rush. Had a short wait for a table which was to be expected...but there's really no place to wait. The patron traffic started pilling up at the door. They need to work on the flow, some strategically placed benches would remedy that. We had prompt and courteous service. All 3 of our servers (yes...3...it was a little confusing) were nice, though I feel that is the reason why our appetizer was never entered into the system. (You know the saying about too many cooks...) The Blue Lemonade was made nicely. The all you can eat fish and chips was great, too. 4 stars for details mentioned above, also for it being so cold in there. The burger here is so good, you will be moaning and rolling your eyes! NO, it's not a seizure! It's just so damn tasty, you can't help yourself! These guys serve up 1/2 pounders that (my opinion) are at least as good, and possibly better than Flip Side! Beef is local and never frozen, so you get this amazing freshness missing from so many burger joints. But, theres more! They make their own potato chips, which are crazy delicious! They also have a bunch of appetizers, salads & entrees, as well as a nice selection of beer! There is a nice modern bar area in the center of this pub and a restaurant area with tables and nice roomy booths. We cannot wait to go back! So we tried two of the newer items on the menu today. The Queso burger and the Fiesta chicken and I have nothing but good things to say. Do not hesitate ordering the Queso burger it comes out in a wrap which not only makes it easy to eat but keeps all the flavor right at your finger tips. (Very good burger). The fiesta chicken is also very good would have like maybe one side with it say a vegetable but other than that it was very good would not hesitate to get either again. read more

Big fans. We may reroute our travel home to ensure driving this way again. So we're en route to Niagara when we Yelped and saw reviews. Looked like a small town local haunt so right up our alley. My husband had garlic parmesan wings, my oldest daughter plain wings, my youngest, pasta with marinara, and I had the special - butternut squash ravioli with chicken thighs and fried sage in an amaretto cream sauce. We also started with warm pretzels and beer cheese sauce. The pretzels were good but not special. We forgot to take a picture. Now the entrees. My husband will tell you he's a wing connoisseur. He loved them. Rated them among the best he's ever eaten. My daughter, age 15, rated them delicious by eating all 10. They were not the tiniest bit greasy. She's never eaten 10 in one sitting, ever. My youngest, who proclaimed when we sat down that she was not hungry, ate hers so fast it scared me. She said the pasta tasted like pillows. The "noodle" style was good and tight but not gnocchi. Mine was fantastic, truly outstanding and portioned and seasoned perfectly. I loved the fried sage and the ravioli was full of delicious butternut squash. The amaretto cream sauce merged the flavors together and what a success. Loved it. We saw in the menu about a 3/4 cooked chocolate chip cookie and based on the entrees success, ordered two to sharethe table. We near scraped them clean. What a great find. Maybe I made a mistake ordering a steak in a pub...but that was terrible. I ordered it "medium" and it came very well done and very dry. The mac-n-cheese was good though, and our server was very nice. It was just the worst steak I've ever had in my life. read more

Came here for the first time ordered the wings and fish and chips. Walking in the place was clean and had a good down to earth vibe. Ordered some chili and it was good a-little on the spicy side but good. The wings came and they we crisp and juicy the buffalo sauce tasted a little bit too much like Frank's red hot sauce but was good. The fish however was light and flaky cod but the fry cook should have let the temperature come back up on the fryer because the breading was a grease sponge. The server tried to make it right but they we slammed so it was all good over all will return. read more

We go all over Northeastern Ohio to try different restaurants and bars. Some good, some bad, some just like everywhere else, some trying to hard to be unique. A friend of ours recommended this place and if you're from the area, you know there are limited choices if you want anything other than a chain restaurant. That being said, what a wonderful little gem this place is. It's just the right size... the decor is tasteful but not distracting... there are plenty of TV's that you would expect at any good bar... and the food is simple and done perfectly. We hate going somewhere that has all this stuff on the menu that just takes away from the taste of the food. This place is straight forward and delicious. We both got salads... which I'd say can't be messed up but everyone has had a bad salad before... and these salads were upstanding. Fresh, simple, well prepared, and very tasty.
