I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Giovanna Ciocca and her team. This was my first time getting cheek filler, and I have to admit I was a little nervous and had many questions before the procedure. From the moment I arrived, however, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The wait time was less than 10 minutes, and Ana, Dr. Ciocca's assistant, was amazing. She took the time to listen to every one of my concerns and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. She never made me feel rushed, and by the time I met with Dr. Ciocca, I already felt comfortable and reassured. Dr. Ciocca was equally wonderful. She carefully went over the procedure with me again, explained what to expect, and made sure I felt completely comfortable before beginning. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and gentle approach immediately gave me confidence that I was in excellent hands. The procedure itself was virtually painless, and I could see the beautiful results immediately. What impressed me most was how natural and balanced everything looked. I never felt that the goal was to change my appearance, but rather to enhance my features in a subtle and elegant way and that is exactly what she achieved. I have been a client at Ciocca Dermatology for a few years. I usually met with Yamile Alfaro. I felt comfortable with her as she treated me with respect and has excellent bedside manner. The last two appointments I've had have been disappointed with the care that I received at Ciocca. My last appointment was with Jessica Amortegui. She was very curt during the check up. In fact, this young lady made me feel as if she had no interest in dealing with an older patient and made me feel as if my questions were a bother. This office has the worst costumer service, I called to let them know I was going to be 15 min late they told it's ok, but when I reached the office I have someone in front of me, when I get to the window they told me I was 3 min late and then couldn't see me. I spoke with the manager she practically laughed in my face saying that I was late. I had my son appointment around 1 year ago in the same place and we had to wait like 1 hour and a half, and for 3 min they couldn't see me today. Definitely i will never come back to this place. Had a horrible experience at this office went with my child and his mother pending results of a biopsy, first I had to buy a mask because everyone had to wear a mask mine you it's May of 2022 , masks on planes and airports mandate was taken off, half of the staff wasn't even wearing a mask , but that was ok I can deal With that , but then we wanted to speak to the doctor together because we were concern with my sons diagnosed and the office manager said only one parent per room, my sons mother left work early so we can speak to the doctor together and weren't even given that opportunity, this place is ridiculous and will never go there or recommend it to anyone. read more

I was not overly impressed with this practice. My daughter was referred to Dr. Ciocca by her pediatrician. When I called to make the appointment I assumed it would be with the actual doctor. Imagine my surprise when they called to confirm my appointment and I was advised that my daughter's appointment was with one of the PA's, Romina. This definitely took one star away in my eyes. While I don't usually have a problem seeing the PA instead of the doctor, I should have been informed that the appointment was being scheduled with a PA at the time of my call, not during my confirmation call when it was too late to reschedule with the doctor. Plus, is it too much to ask to see the actual DOCTOR during our very FIRST visit to the office? New patients should be scheduled with the physician. Wait time was a little long. When Romina finally arrived she apologized for the delay and got straight to things, and I was pleased with her overall. She seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Check out is where my visit took another trip south. I have a deductible plan. I worked in a doctor's office and in every doctors office I have been to, until the deductible is met they don't charge the patient. The claim should first be sent to the insurance. They will make their adjustments and the remaining balance is to be billed to the patient. The check out girl wanted to charge me close to $200, when I have a $200 deductible that was already partially met. She also had to consult with 3 different people to come up with that number. Each girl she asked gave a different amount due. When I saw this confusion I basically explained the way I have always experienced a deductible plan to be billed. She insisted for a little but eventually conceded. I just received my EOB from my insurance and I only owe $122 for the visit, not the $194 they tried to charge me. I will report on two separate occasions. First occasion: I went to see the doctor but instead saw the physician's assistant instead. I showed her the 2 cysts that I have, one on my chest and in between my breasts. They hurt at different times and I feel constant pressure. I wanted them gone. Both times, the PA said no to removal because it would leave a nasty scar. The one on my chest is inflamed and I have pain. This screams malpractice. Second occasion: My daughter has eczema and was referred by her pediatrician to Ciocca dermatology. I saw that they had the door open and asked the blonde, young "lady" at the counter if they took my daughter's insurance. Without even thinking and with attitude, she blurted out NO. I went home and looked under my daughter's insurance website and guess what?? CIOCCA DERMATOLOGY appears. HORRIBLE SERVICE. They really don't care about their patients. They ONLY care about is the $$$. read more

BAD SERVICE! Waiting three months for an appointment, that was canceled a week prior. They rescheduled me for a week after and gave me the first appointment of the day 9am- and 9:15 for my husband beacause we had other things already scheduled. We went today for the appointment and waited 1 hour without anyone coming to our room and we had to leave without seeing the Dr. because of the other appointment we had. It was the first appointment of the day.. I understand sometines drs get backed up but how is this possible if they give you the first two appointments of the day? Horrible!! They mix up the appointment times they give you and than want to blame you even when I had the appointment in writing. Clerical error on their part. Than they billed my insurance to remove 3 skin tags of which only 1 was removed. Returned to follow up and instead of properly removing them after charging insurance they wanted to charge $150 each after that was charged to the insurance. That is called fraud!!! read more

Lovely office with amazing staff. I visit with the P.A. Gina All the time. She is very attentive and knows how to treat acne well, as I'm seeing results. Took my daughter to Ciocca. She turned 18 back in February. This being her first appointment I wanted to go in for her initial consultation and make them aware of her medical history. I was told because she is an adult I could not go in with her because of Covid. Its 2022 and not even hospitals have such a strict office policy. read more

This office, after waiting 3 months for an appointment, changed that appointment for three months later. So, 6 months in total later, I called to see if they could give me another time because after so much time you can imagine that life changes, and I had something very important for that date, when I call, the girl not only told me that the next appointment could be for two months later but she told me that I have to do an electronic referral send it directly to my insurance portal by my primary doctor (I had it but physical). No one had ever informed me of this before, neither in messages nor by phone. Since I saw so many problems and cancellations and obstacles, I decided to cancel. Went for my first time to a dermatologist, they were recommended by four different people when I posted that I was looking on Facebook, they did not disappoint. At first, they gave me a sept 20ish date, I told them it was an emergency and they gave me an appt for the next day, that was nice, no arguing at all... My appointment was at 10:15 and I got their around 10 so I can fill out my paperwork, I was seen at around 10:45, not bad at all. The office is very nice, clean and comfortable to accommodate a lot of patients if necessary, the place got packed after I got there. A nurse saw me first and asked me the usual questions, she was very nice, very knowledgeable. She took my picture and said someone would be with me in a couple of minutes. I expected to wait a while but a PA came in to see me right away, Ms. Alfaro was a sweetheart and her assistant was amazing too, they made me feel comfortable considering the situation. She examined me from head to toe, not only did they take care of my problem, they removed two skin tags I've had for over 25 years!! They gave me dressing materials so I can change it, and they didn't have to do that... Only thing I didn't like was their gowns are paper thin and they broke easily (very cheap), and I would have liked to meet the actual doctor, even if she didn't see me, out of professional courtesy, those are two things they really should think about read more

It took me three months to get an appointment. When they closed the office for Corona they did not call to reschedule but I did. They booked me for another month and a half in the future. I arrived with my 11 year old daughter (the patient) they had us wait one hour in the crowded waiting room. Then after I complained it was taking to long they moved us to a room. After 25 minutes in the room the assistant came to tell us there were still two more people in front of us another 40 mins... I got up and said it was unacceptable they asked if we wanted to reschedule and I asked if it was always like this and they said yes. So no thanks, no respect for peoples time!!!! read more

I'd seen a wonderful dermatologist about 3 years ago who practiced Osteopathic Medicine. This basically means that he uses both modern medicine as well as technology to diagnose patients. He spoke with me for no less than 45 minutes about my skin, explaining to me everything as if I were his student. He also did complimentary injections on all of my pimples, making sure I left his office with a beautiful face and the means to keep it that way for the next 3 years w(at least that's how it turned out for me). That doctors name was Dr. Julian Moore. Perhaps it was my wonderful experience with the above doctor that lead me to believe every dermatologist visit would be informative, satisfying, and thorough, but my recent visit at Ciocca Dermatology left me beyond disappointed. The staff at the clinic (not including the doctor) were all very sweet, polite, and efficient. The wait time was around 20 minutes, even with a full waiting room. The girl that went over my skin issues in the examination room was great as well and I really thought the doctor would live up to the rest of her staff. Once the doctor arrived, we could not have been in the room for more than 5 minutes. She ran a light through some birth marks while asking me why I was there. I explained to her the success I had with my last dermatologist visit and told her the cream I had been prescribed. She asked me, "so what do you want me to do?" I explained to her that she is the doctor and I am the patient. I told her I would value her opinion on what I should do now that my skin is flaring up after 3 years of great skin. Since it had been so long since I used the last cream, I figured there were some advances or that perhaps my acne was occurring for different reasons and so that required a different approach. "I mean, that's still a popular cream." we stare at each other. I tell her I am a professional groomer and that I wash my face often while at work because I feel like it gets dirty. I ask her if that's okay. She replies with, "Can't you just wear a mask? You actually like doing that?" She tells her assistant to write me up prescriptions and to explain to me how to use it and gets up and leaves. I saw that woman for so little time I could barely tell you what she looks like. I had no idea why I was being prescribed 1 pill and 2 creams for my face, all with long lists of side-effects. I was not given the option of wanting just a pill or just a cream (I don't believe in taking 115mg of an antibiotic to clear up 2 pimples ON TOP of 2 strong creams). To top it off, she signed on the prescriptions that only name-brand medication can be dispensed when insurances rarely cover name brand over generic. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. While the staff is friendly, the doctor herself just passes patients along like it's an assembly line. Clearly this place only cares about money and not about the patient. I left feeling like I paid $50 to feel like the reason for my visit was unimportant, to be asked what I wanted done even though I am not a doctor, and to have my career choice insulted by some money-hungry woman with a phD. I accompanied my friend to her son's appointment and here is my assessment. The positives: -The nurse, Gloria, was very nice. Interactive with us parents. The doctor herself was nice, and had a good approach with 3 1/2 year old patient. -Wait time with appointment was of 20 minutes Not great: -It took about two months to get an appointment. -Medicine prescribed was extremely expensive. Generic brand was not offered in prescription. Cost of med was $700 to treat small wart looking thing. -Office looks outdated -Very strict policy on what can be thrown away in trashcans, leaving no room to throw away anything food related (when with kids, one always has stuff to throw out: water, snacks, etc). -Parking is a living hell -Bathroom has no purse hook read more

Don't bother going they are unprofessional all they want is your money. Been paying like $100 for my visit and still can't get my medication because they miscommunicated by giving me the wrong info and now I have to wait another month or so to get it. Oh and my visit is less then 5 min nothing is done or given to me in person to even say my money is worth it. The best part is they don't care that it's there fault since they don't want or need the medication. No help at all. This business has no respect for people's time. After receiving a bill in the mail, I called their billing department daily for 3 weeks and no one picks up. You have to call the appointments receptionist to be transferred to someone who picks up in a horrible manner as if this is a personal call and tries to talk down on clients. Poor quality service. The appointment itself was not good, it was based on loose opinions and no one bothered to test any part of my skin, since I have many spots or all shapes, sizes and colors. Do not come here, a smaller dermatology firm will give you better service and not rob you of your time and money. read more
