Before my surgery, I sent in photos and paid in full for a tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and chin liposuction. On the day of surgery, I met Dr. Moridian for the first time only about 10-30 minutes before being put under anesthesia. He came in, marked my body, and told me he thought I should get a breast lift without implants--something I clearly said I did not want. He reassured me that I would look great and then left. When I woke up, I was in severe pain, lying in a large recovery room packed with other women -- at least ten of us -- all groaning and in visible agony. It felt chaotic, unprofessional, and rushed. But once you arrive, they often push a completely different procedure. You're left with the choice of going through with something you didn't originally plan for or waiting months for a refund,if they even agree to refund you at all. My eyes were severely botched. I cried to their office for four months, and instead of taking responsibility, they kept insisting I needed a coronal lift to see improvement. I asked for a revision because my eyes looked so bad. They guaranteed results and had me pay for the coronal lift. Then, on the day of surgery, the office manager told me that Dr. Schusterman decided I didn't need the lift after all and would perform a revision instead. That "revision" made my eyes even worse. The most heartbreaking part is that because this was considered cosmetic and not medically necessary, no lawyer was willing to take the case. I wish I would've read the reviews prior to booking with this place. Been waiting almost a YEAR for a refund. UNACCEPTABLE! I've been calling to follow up for MONTHS with no resolution. There's no way it should take this long for a refund. Back in April 2024 when I initially started the process for refund, I was told that it takes 90 business days and that I would be automatically refunded if it reached the 90 day mark. Well again, that was last year. I had to call back again to (I guess) get the refund process looked at again and was told that they would look into it and process the refund asap. My surgery was scheduled for July 28, 2025, but it was never performed due to the clinic's lack of coordination between the administration and clinical department. I was required to pay the full amount of $6,100 for a facelift three days before the procedure. Only hours after I made the payment, I was told during intake that I would need a "special clearance" from my hematologist. The clinic knew very well that I had traveled from New York to Miami exclusively for this surgery, and as a result of your lack of responsibility I incurred significant travel expenses. I flew from California in December of 2025, before everything my Doctor had to be changed two times, not because of me. The first Surgeon left and I had no idea, not until I called did they inform me, so then I chose Dr. Salama and once the date got closer they told me he was going to be out on vacation and that I could change my surgeon or the date. The front desk girl was kind so I do appreciate her but once weeks went by post recover from my lipo 360, bbl, chin lipo and arms. My swelling had gone down and my stomach was uneven my arms were very uneven and only a little section was done when I was told the whole bottom area would be getting Lipo when I scheduled. Along with my back the gluteal area and about 3 inches from it was done fine but the rest up to where my chest would be nothing was taken out. Even the lady who did my massages in California said it was not done well and things were very uneven and still are,when I was told 360 would be anything below the chest area and it's clearly uneven and only a small area was done. I emailed the medical assistant and never heard back find out she had left . I spent about three years looking into different doctors, and not once did I feel truly comfortable, until I met him. From the start, I could tell he was experienced and trustworthy. I never found a single bad thing said about him, and now I understand why. I struggle with really bad anxiety, and honestly, I almost didn't go through with my surgery because of it. But Dr. Schusterman was so patient and kind, especially on the day of my procedure, that I felt safe putting my trust in him. My experience following a "Mommy Makeover" performed by Dr. Luster at Avana Plastic Surgery in July 2025 was catastrophic, resulting in severe and potentially negligent complications. The postoperative course was rapidly complicated by a confirmed Pseudomonas aeruginosa surgical site infection. This infection necessitated an emergency explantation of a breast implant, led to nipple necrosis and subsequent loss, and resulted in a significant, disfiguring breast deformity. Furthermore, the abdominoplasty incision experienced dehiscence and required multiple surgical debridements. Despite repeatedly raising concerns regarding purulent drainage and wound breakdown, Dr. Luster allegedly failed to adhere to the standard of care by not recommending urgent infectious disease consultation or emergency department evaluation, resulting in delayed aggressive treatment. The resulting complications have led to extensive financial losses, significant work absences, and profound emotional distress. Reconstructive surgery is now required to address the disfigurement. Where do I begin. I went in October to have a MMO. Everyone was super nice, absolutely love Dr. Schusterman, the facility was clean and nice. There was an issue during my surgery and all I ended up getting was some lipo. When I woke up from my surgery they told me what happened and that I would be getting a refund for everything except the lipo. Fast forward to today and still do not have my refund. They keep telling me that it takes 30 to 60 business days however the paper I signed said I would receive the refund within 30 days. Not business days. I really wanted to go back to have my surgery finished but there is no reason why the refund should take this long and unfortunately, I do not think I will be going back. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM I never been to a place were it takes 60 business days not including holidays or weekends to get ur refund processed I was told I was supposed to get my refund October 16th and today it's October 25th and I still haven't gotten my refund. I've been calling them about my refund and suddenly the finance team has been really busy I even sent them emails regarding my refund and they still haven't acknowledged it. My wife and I went to Florida for Face and Neck Lifts in June. My wife went on a Tuesday and I was scheduled for Wednesday. I picked my wife up Tuesday afternoon. We returned to our hotel and her neck began swelling. I called the office and was told the doctor would call back in 20 minutes. He did not call. I called again several times. Finally I call for emergency care. We would up at a trauma center where an active beefing vessel was found in my wife's neck. She spent four days on a respirator and was discharged a week after her surgery at Avana and two additional surgeries at the trauma center. Clearly neglect surgery and I nearly lost my wife! Obviously I had to cancel my procedure to care for her and three months later no refund for my surgery. Pathetic care, indifferent to numerous requests for a refund. They never refunded me and they keep lying. Chelsey the refund "specialist" was upset so she canceled my refund. How unprofessional. Her own team said no refund was processing when she claimed it was. Take your money elsewhere they're a nightmare when it comes to refunds and customer service. This is by far the worst plastic surgery clinic. I paid $10,000 for my mom's facial procedure, and the results were terrible. Her face not only didn't improve but actually looks 10 times worse. It has been a year, and despite multiple check-ins, the surgeon continues to shift blame onto other factors instead of acknowledging the poor results. very bad service, they kept changing the pricing every day even after finalizing the payment and trap you to pay more. Post surgery experience is terrible, they push you out while you're crying in pain. Front desk has an attitude. No post surgery instructions. Bad quality care. They treat you like products. This is the worst plastic surgery center ever. No one cares for you, no clear instructions whatsoever. They won't spend time with you and most of them don't speak english. They lie in a bunch of things. Very very very unprofessional. Dr Mameniskis, omg! He's the worst doctor ever!!! He sees me 3 minutes in and out. Don't be fooled with their cheap quotes, it will end up far more anyways. I was quoted for 7500 ended up paying 10k. It was supposed to be lipo 360 and which was supposed to includes upper back, flanks, upper tummy areas, bra rolls, back armpits, underarms and bbl reductions. He did only upper tummy and butt areas, he didn't do anything on my upper back, at least those that I can see some improvement. I paid for all of them and he only liposuctioned those areas. Such a big disappointment for me. When I asked him he tried to play around with uis words and just won't give me a straight answer.
