We have a family member who lives there and got a great deal on a car, they bought into the ext warranty which commits them to use apple york for service under warranty or pay out. (bad news). Every time they take the new car to this place for warranty or recalll service something bad happens to the new car. I feel so bad for them as they are good folks and have had a rough time of it lately in general. They said this place is all smiles to sell and all smiles when you arrive for service but when you pick it up either the work wasnt done and says it was, or it was sorta done but the car sustained damages that they then accuse you of making up. Its terrible. They cant afford to sell the car this soon or be upside down on a loan. Im trying to read reviews to help them find a dealer with in range they can go too for further service issues, that a dealer has to do. It breaks my heart a good family is being cheated like this how those apple thieves sleep at night I will never understand. Ive since had old friends in york tell me of their horror stories about this dealer. If you must buy by all means do not get roped into a warranty that specifies you must come back to this place. And god forbid you do have service of any kind there, crawl all over you car and check it before you leave that lot and drag the manager out to show them or you will not get it fixed right they will refuse to fix what they broke. read more

My husband bought a brand new car from Apple in March 2014 and one of the selling points was that, excluding a car payment of course, he'd pay nothing for the first two years of ownership. Inspections (done by Apple) would be covered. Seeing as it would relieve the stress and headache of a PA inspection for a couple of years, he readily agreed. He just called to set up the inspection/emissions test (the inspection sticker is only good for six months; is that standard procedure for a new car?) and was informed that the inspection is NOT covered. He was misled by the salesman who emphatically told him he'd pay NOTHING for the first two years which obviously was not true. I took my 2012 Chevy cruze to get inspected. Never had no issues until this time. They told me that I was going to need 1100 dollars worth of work. They said I needed new calibers and new front brakes and that I needed my back breaks adjusted. I told them no way that was impossible because it is still like a brand new car with only 20000 miles on it. I denied the work and took my car somewhere else. I explained everything to the mechanic that I took my car to and showed them the paper stating what apple said that I needed to pass inspection. The mechanic looked at everything on the car that they said I needed and he said that my calibers was not leaking and my breaks was still like new and that my back breaks did not need adjusted. So pretty much apple tried to rip me off and thought that I was stupid and would pay them all that money to fix my car. How many other people did they rip off??? Please be careful dealing with apple. If what they are saying does not seem right to you go get a second opinion before agreeing to let them do the work. Even if your car does need work you could nine times out of ten get the work done cheaper somewhere else! read more

Purchased a used vehicle from the dealership and needed to register in NJ(At the time I had dual addresses due to work). I had a very bad experience with Apple nissan as I purchased a vehicle the year prior and my plates were mailed to my nj address and stolen. I explained to Mike King general manager that I was ok with the price but wanted to make sure that the same issue was not going to occur. I shake hands with mike and go in to see Phil Simmons (Finance Manager). The paperwork was ready and I signed all the documents but I was informed that the dealer did not have the title and it would take up to a week to correct the issue. At this point I prepared t walk away as we were moving back to NJ on a permanent basis and did not feel comfortable taking a vehicle with no title. Phil has a conversation with Mike and they came up with a dealer plate on the vehicle for the week until they received the title. Again I was not comfortable but agreed to drive the car home to my PA address as the vehicle would be parked in the garage and not utilized the entire week as we were in NJ. They explained to me that the dealer was insuring the car and that we should consider it a loaner as they needed a week to get the title. (IS IT ILLEGAL TO SELL A VEHICLE WITHOUT PROPER DOCUMENTATION)? We hear from Phil and arrive at the dealership a week later. At this point we finished signing more paperwork????? and drove of with a temp plate which was good till the 4th. Phil mentioned that we would have to get the vehicle inspected with the temp plate in Nj, send him a copy of the inspection sticker before he would be able to release the registration to us. (Again I questioned the process but was assured that is how things are done). Went to inspection in Nj as was told by a manager at DMV that without a registration I can not get the vehicle inspected. Called Phil and this came as a surprise to him. My concern was that the PA inspection that was on the vehicle was removed by the DMV manager before he verified that we had the proper documentation. My wife continued to drive the vehicle minimally as we were afraid of being pulled over with no inspection. Heard from the dealership that the title was in and that we had to resign all the documents????????? Again more confusion!!!! Documents arrived and we were to believe that the registration would be here in time as our temp plates were ready to expire. Apparently the title that they had was incorrect???? And that the correct title had been found and that's the reason we needed to resign all. Contacted the dealership a week prior to the plates expiring and they reassured us the registration would be in on time. NO LUCK, two days prior I contacted the dealer and explained the situation. I demanded loaner plates, or an extension on my temp and both could not be done. I then requested to have a rental dropped off at my NJ location and they stated "It would not be cost effective for them to do that". I was not pleased with the answer and had my wife call them back. We were in panic mode as my wife needs the truck to drive the kids to school. The 3 options that they thought were helpful - 1. Drive with an expire tag which they told my wife was no big deal and that we were over reacting,2. they would type up a letter for US to go to the nj dmw and get an extension. Wife calls nj dmw and was told by two supervisors that is impossible to do as this was an out of state purchase 3. we would have to rent a car and they would reimburse us. We decide to take the rent a car and had a check sent to us to cover the expense. WITH THE CHECK ALSO CAME MORE PAPERWORK THAT NEEDED TO BE SIGNED. I refused to put any money up (deposit) for the rental so Apple chevrolet called after much going back and forth and had a rental set up and stated that the registration should be in by the 11th. We arrived at the car rental this morning thinking it would be a 20 minute process and come to find that the dealer did not complete the paperwork and we would have to cover the bill. We spent 2 1/2 hours at the rental and cancelled our weekend plans to deal with this headache. I spoke to the owner and general manager of apple and both were apologetic but the apology does not correct the numerous issues we have had. As of today the vehicle is sitting in the garage with no registration. I am a victim of apple chevrolet and as a consumer feel taken for a ride and nothing I can do but sit and wait. I'm sure my registration will eventually arrive and the dealer will wash their hands and screw over another customer with poor practices. So Was shopping around for ats-v for a few weeks ,found the one I wanted at this dealer ,,went back and fourth through email with sales manger steve for two days then we spoke on the phone worked some price points out and then had him text me info so I had records , so we came to a deal on text then I called and spoke with him again and went over again and said so this is the set price right I don't want to come there and things change and steve said and I quote that is absolutely the price nothing will change that is not how we do business here!! Ok great we got a deal then i will be up in two days .. I call steve the mourning of and say we are all good still right I am going to head up yes scott we are all set ..So I took off from work along with my father to head up and get car Bc dealer was over two hours away from me , get there and get everything going and the general manger comes out and says sorry we can't make the deal we made a 7k mistake I said how is that even possible and he explained going back and fourth and did apologized a few times but that definitely wasn't making up for what was going on ,, and I said again I want over this with Steven 4-5times how could this mistake happen when we went over the deal so many times and said I have proof of it also he said I know but we can't do it , and I said so you guys are doing the old bait and switch and he said no not at all we are not that kind a dealership and I was like well you are your doing it right now to me ... so me and him went back-and-forth over numbers for a little while and we did come to another deal but definitely wasn't the deal that was originally agreed to and cost me more money Bc I wanted a certain car and already missed work and as did my father and arranged for child care also so I already made too many plans and inconvenienced too many people and wasted to much time not to try and get it done ... so they did the old bait and switch so not trust this dealership ,,, and it gets better the sales manager that I was dealing with didn't even come out and try and explain himself nor say sorry I texted him the next day about how rude and Unprofessional that was he then said sorry and try to offer me a hat or T-shirt for my troubles I was like are you kidding me ,, I did speak with him a couple times about the matter and gave the dealership a few weeks to try to make up for what happened but they haven't so here we are I would strongly suggest to go somewhere else ,, and again I have proof with emails and text of all what was agreed to from the start I have bought many of cars over the years never had something like this happen... hope this helps people decisions read more

Service at Apple York is terrible ! I will never buy another car there nor will I recommend Apple to anyone. I won't even go back for my free oil changes.i will not use names but the Service Manager was rude and did not want to listen to anything i had to say, he had his mind made up and his own version as to what happened before i even got there. I will not even go back for my free oil changes ..They can stick those you know where. This all started with me taking my car (2016 Chevy Sonic) in for inspection and oil change. While it was there I asked them to take a look at my bumper which I noticed was popped out on each side. The bumper is a whole other story let's finish with the inspection . I was told my car was ready so I went in on a Saturday to pick it up. Once I got there I was told the oil was changed but it won't pass inspection!  I was confused,  this is a brand new car that I only had about 7 months. I was so angry, I was told that somehow the emission reset itself and that I would need to drive it around to see if it resets. Even though one of the mechanics drove it 40 miles with no luck..I asked why would this happen, something has to be wrong. They kept saying a dead battery could cause it. I told them repeatedly I NEVER HAD A DEAD BATTERY.  Well after being talked to like I was stupid I took the car home, in the mean time I made arrangements to drop the car off at collision center to fix the front  bumper. Boy this gets really good now! About a week later I dropped it off for the bumper and for INSPECTION AGAIN. I got a phone call from collision center saying that I would have to put this through my Insurance. .I never hit anything..there were no scratches, dents or paint.. It looked as though the bumper clips popped out. I went back and forth with them and they insisted that I did this to the bumper. They even had the nerve to ask me who painted the white around the headlights! The freakin car came like that, they tried to insinuate that I messed up the bumper while removing headlights.  This was a nightmare! I was told I needed a new bumper and it cannot be fixed. I picked my car up a few days later and as soon as I looked at it I could tell they were messing with the bumper and never put it back the way it was when I dropped it off. I was infuriated. .it looked terrible! ! (By the way it finally passed inspection and never got a explanation as to why it took 2 weeks to pass) by now I was so frustrated. .when I went to service to get my keys I explained to.........that the bumper looks like crap now and I need someone to at least put it back to the way it was when I  dropped it off.. I was told there was nothing else they could do and handed me a  $1300.00 estimate for a whole NEW BUMPER! I was beyond upset and almost in tears. I had words with them and may have dropped the f bomb a few times but this was so unbelievable.  I ended up taking my car to Mike at Red Lion Body and Fender. It took him 5 min to tell me all it needs is new bumper clips and will cost less than 100 bucks. He could not believe that Apple didn't just put these on for me. 1 hour and 100 bucks later it was all fixed. I want to know why Apple said this could not be repaired and needed a new bumper. I was told that this could have been like this from purchase..I  can never prove this This is a fine example of how these big dealerships just want to sell you a car and then want nothing to do with you.I will NEVER buy from them again. That $100 repair was worth losing a customer over I guess.. I  had so many people shocked that Apple was not willing to put these clips on and tried to sell me a new bumper. 9nce again I guess they just assumed I was another dumb woman.. read more

bought a new 2016 Chevrolet pick -up after 1 week ,took it back to apple Chevrolet 1200 loucks rd in York. With a vibration at 45 mph. This was on 5-6-16. it was raining ,they did notice a problem ,but I would have to bring it back when it wasn't raining. So on 5-10-16 dropped truck off again. Finely let me know 5-19-16 that it was a possible torque converter. Mean while I have been without a truck. apple could only let me have a small loaner car.. you know I could under stand if my vechicle. was in for a day or two. I didn't buy a compact car. I bought a truck. . So I have had to cancel a camping trip. You would think that they would make some provision for large vechicle. or vechicle. that are going to be in for service longer than a day or two. management refused to find a truck for my use, so on 5-20-16 I am picking up my truck ,STILL NOT FIXED. so I can take care of thing I need a truck for. so 5-23-16 I am dropping it off again. if this is apple Chevrolet way of making customers happy... they need to get new management.
