I have been a dedicated client for the past few years; however, I have observed a decline in the quality of service over the last couple of years. This has resulted in significant financial losses for me without effectively resolving the issues at hand. When I visited the establishment two weeks ago to report a strange noise coming from one of my tires, I was informed that the problem was with my rear tires and was persuaded to purchase two new ones. Upon seeking a second opinion from a different mechanic, it was determined that the issue actually stemmed from my wheel bearings. The previous establishment's misdiagnosis was evident, and after the problem was correctly addressed, I am now satisfied with the outcome. Customer service wasn't great. Salesman came out to us on the lot as expected. Asked about what we were looking for. Explained we had seen a truck online that we were interested in. Apparently that truck was at the Red Lion location and not this York one. That was fine, we were willing to just drive to Red Lion to see it. The salesman said for us to wait and he would follow us over there but he wanted to check first to make sure it was there. I understand he wants the commission but he also needs to understand that now we are waiting there just for him. He gives us the carfax on the vehicle which was nice, and does appear to call about it, but at that point just walks off and leaves my family and I in the lobby. After a few minutes of looking at the cars in the show room I see him in the sales manager's office just hanging out in there, so I get my family and start to leave, he opens the door and I tell him we'll just go over ourselves without waiting. I was shocked at the price of an oil change -$110.90 for my 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. The last oil change I had was around $80. I asked why the enormous increase. I was told that inflation was the cause. The man taking care of my bill gave me an example of how the cost of milk has risen to $8 per gallon. I looked somewhat shocked at that price I asked him where he shopped. He then told me that the price of eggs has also increased. In January of '24, the average price of eggs was $2.52 per dozen. The price on average is now $3.08 per dozen. The average cost for a gal of milk in Sept. 2024 is $3.83 A $30 increase for the oil change , I feel, is hog acting. I also asked how much it would cost to get the PREMIR badge put back on my auto, which, by the way, came off immediately after getting my car washed from the nearby car wash that Apple Chevrolet uses. The price quoted was over $200. What a RIPOFF!! Something I felt the Chevrolet garage should have put back on at no charge. If this is the way Ciocca is going to be charging it's customers, I will NEVER BE RETURNING. Overall, a lesson well learned. I just assumed that the price would be similar to the last oil change with the possibility of a SLIGHT increase. From now on, I will never assume! I will ALWAYS ask. What a DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! P.S. You know what stinks? It stinks when you're ready to make a deal on something, in this case lets obviously say a car, and the other side is not willing to deal or I guess that they think they have something "special" so they do their best to obfuscate the process. I will admit that I very purposely changed the rules of engagement in that I had no interest to get into some emotional high stakes poker prematurely or to be gooned by a dealer before it was time so I attempted via email with the Internet manager to get his best out the door pricing on a particular car except I was met with a lot of resistance. On my initial email I clearly explained the exact car I was looking at, the fact that I was ready to buy this week and that I wanted his best out the door price so that I could compare apples to apples as of course I'm also shopping comparable cars at multiple different dealerships. My first email was ignored and in return I more or less got the website advertisement sent to me with a note to call for pricing. Nice, but that's not what I want to do and last I checked I'm the one with the money to spend so in terms of following instructions that would be a giant "F" as in fail. The vibe was the equivalent to asking someone a question and getting a question in return versus an answer. My second email elicited a more meaningful response in that I did get an out the door price except that it clearly was not the "best" out the door price as it was more or less the sticker price with all of the taxes, tags and fees added on to it. I mean, WTF? Does anyone actually pay sticker for a car especially not a new car where you know that there is always a ton of marked up fluff added onto the price and when a simple two minute Internet search will tell you that there are similar cars available who's sticker prices are similar or 10-15% less before any negotiating? My third email noted that the day prior the car in question was listed on the dealership's website and other sites like cars.com and autotrader.com as being one thousand dollars cheaper than it currently is listed and other sites like carguru.com still have the car listed at the cheaper price yet when I mentioned this I was rebuffed with a "the current price on our website is our price". Great. So while the car in question is nice, just because I'm doing things a little bit differently I sure as hell am not going to pay sticker for it and as much as manager guy "warned me" that the current price is a great deal and that it will go fast I'll pass as the price is not THAT good and there are several other cars available that are very similar in terms of year/mileage/model from other dealers who so far seem much more interested in making a deal. My son bought a jeep from these crooks. He also purchased a worthless warranty. He took the jeep back to them 4 times in less than 2 months with overheating problems. They told him the jeep was fine just drive it. Then it blew up on the way to work one morning. He had it towed there. They tore the motor apart and said it had sludge in it from not changing the oil plus they said it had no coolant or oil in it. Well of course it didn't have coolant in it . It was laying all over the interstate. The sludge didn't build up in that engine in 6 months time it was there when they sold it. They sell junk and then don't honor the warranty. She was told the car was available, she was ready to purchase it, she did her research, funds in hand. We get there and meet with a very lackadaisical salesman only to find car sold three days prior, sales man seemed to care less. We left and I spoke with the " Dealership Manager" over the phone, I asked why we weren't told the car already sold, his response : " Got you down here didn't we ? Here is my experience with Apple Chevrolet in York, Pa. A couple of months ago, mid-September, I thought about trading my 2017 Colorado in on a 2019 since the 2020's were hitting the market and Chevy/GM were offering up some decent incentives on the 2019 leftovers. My first thought was that by jumping in the leftover market early, it would be easier to find a Colorado that I wanted due to the vast inventory that was out there. I also wanted to buy from a local dealer. Apple Chevrolet had what I was looking for by searching on Chevy's website. GM/Chevy were offering 3 incentives at the time. These were factory incentives in addition to any discount the dealer was offering. I spoke with a representative from Chevy and he confirmed that those incentives were from the manufacture. The factory incentives were $1750 Purchase Cash Bonus, $500 Cash, and a Below MSRP Cash Discount of $1636 for a grand total of $3886. I then went to Apple's website and they were showing an Apple Dealer Discount of $1671 (or close to that). The combined Factory and Apple discount amounted to $5,557. I contacted a person online through their Internet Chat. She stated that their Apple Discount ($1671) was a reflection of the Chevy Discount of $1636 and Apple would not honor both the factory and the Apple discount. Needless to the amounts were not the same. What Apple was doing was claiming that their Discount was one of the discounts Chevy was showing as a factory incentive. In other words, Apple pulled their discount and they were looking to get full MSRP- Factory Incentives. Needless to say, the deal went south. Fast forward to early November. Chevy rolls out new incentives even better that before. It just so happens I get an email from Apple so I looked at what they have in stock. They had 1 in stock that I liked; MSRP $37,455. Chevy/GM is offering a 15% discount ($5618) plus Apple was also showing a Dealer Discount of $1968. That totals $7586. The total of the discounts was confirmed via email. I get a call from a salesman the next day or two. We talk for a few minutes and he did say the Colorado I was interested in was sold awaiting delivery. He then said that they could get another 2019 from another local dealer and he would offer the same discount. During our conversation he knew that there were certain options I was not looking for; in particular was the $495 navigation. He said not to worry about that as he would give an additional discount. So I drive down there on Friday with the belief that I am going to get the same type of deal that was promised. I sit down and they pull up local inventory. I tell them what color I wanted. I already did my research so when they pulled up that vehicle, I knew what options it had and where it was located. I also knew what that dealer was selling it for. They looked at my trade and then came back with pricing. They pulled the same thing they did a couple of months ago. They did not offer any Dealer Discount. That automatically raised the price by $1968. He never gave me the $495 discount he said he would for navigation. One of the first things he said was the color I wanted was a $495 upgrade which was jacking up the price. However, he left out the fact that the one they had in stock had a $395 upgrade on the color so the net difference was $100. I was willing to pay for that. While they gave me a 'fair' offer on my trade ($25,000), it was lower than Edmunds True Value Trade-In and kind of in the middle of KBB. Even though my Colorado was lot ready (very clean), my guess is that they were looking to send it to auction and gave me auction price. He did drop their offer by $500 which made it $8000+ plus my trade. I asked for the keys to my truck, shook his hand, and left. I had a price written down of no more than $5800. At this juncture, we were too far apart to continue on. Had they given me the same $1968 Dealer Discount; we could have made the deal happen. I left out the names of the sales people because I do not think it matters at all. My belief is that this is the way Apple operates regardless of the sales person. read more

I would never recommend going here after my experience. I walked in and sat for about 10 minutes before someone offered to help me. I was there to get keys programmed which required a 3rd party vendor coming in. Multiple times had to reschedule when we could get there and the most recent trip took off work to be there an to my surprise the key person didn't come in. They weren't able to reach in and had no courtesy to call and made me waste time off work for absolutely nothing. Last week I had the worst customer service that I have EVER experienced, and my support of this organization is completely gone. I drive a 2014 Chevy Cruze that is still covered under the drive train warranty because it only has 83,000 miles on it. Over the past month or so, I have noticed it shifting slightly harder into and out of gear around 30 mph. This caught my attention and I wanted to have it addressed because transmission work is expensive and I wanted to have it covered under warranty, if possible. I made an appointment for Monday November 26. I dropped my car off late on Sunday November 25 and put my keys in the overnight slot. I was down in the area on Monday morning (7am) so I stopped in to explain my additional concerns with my vehicle because it was too much to write on the bottom of the envelope that I put my keys in. I knew that they had to diagnose the problem and that diagnosis is a time intensive process, but I expected to receive an update at some point throughout the day. By 3pm on Monday, I had not heard anything back from Larry (the service advisor that I had spoken too). I decided to call them because I needed to find out if I should make ride arrangements for Tuesday or if I would have my car back. I was informed that they would likely not be able to finish the diagnosis on Monday because the "transmission guy (as they called him)" had just finished the diagnosis he was working on all morning. I was totally understanding of this delay and willing to wait because I wanted my car to be thoroughly diagnosed so that the full problem was discovered and resolved. Around 4:30pm on Monday, I received a call saying that they had found the problem and it was under warranty still, but they had to order the transmission control module and could not get the part in until Thursday. While this issue was under warranty, they were unable to issue a loaner car until the warranty work was being performed, per corporate. I was given the option to pick up my car and drive it, but they needed it back for first thing Thursday morning. However, my work schedule did not allow for me to get there during their hours to get my car. I understand that my lack of vehicle on Monday-Wednesday was a result of conflicting schedules. I gave the shop a call on Wednesday to find out when I could pick up a loaner vehicle on Thursday since the warranty work would be started. I was told by Larry that my vehicle would be done by the end of day on Thursday and that the loaner would need to be returned as soon as my car was done. I was aware that the loaners need returned as soon as the work is done, but he felt the need to tell me this with an attitude. I had to work on Thursday and with my car set to be done by the end of the day, I decided not to bother utilizing the loaner car that should have been guaranteed because the work being done was all under warranty. My reasoning for this was I worked all day on Thursday 8am-6:45pm, so why get a loaner car just to have it sit at my employer all day. I heard nothing from Larry all day on Thursday, so I assumed that no news meant that my car was still set to be done by the end of the day and I could pick it up when I got off work. I gave Larry a call at around 4pm to get a status update, and he told me that they didn't even know what the problem with my vehicle was. I reminded him that they had diagnosed it and it was the transmission control module. Then he remembered, and he told me that my car HADN'T BEEN STARTED! Why was this not communicated to me? Why would it be the customer's responsibility to make sure that things were operating on schedule? As soon as they realized that it would not be done on Thursday, they should have called me so that I could make additional arrangements. So Thursday evening when it became apparent I was going to be without a vehicle again, I asked about getting a loaner car for Friday. I was previously told that a loaner would be available for me to pick up on Thursday, so I assumed this would be an easy process. But Larry said "It never came back. The other customers with warranty work were here first and ahead of you. I have a transmission and two motors being replaced." First of all, as the customer, I do not care about the other customers or the workload that is tying up the loaners. As the customer that is not my problem, the problem I was facing was being out of a vehicle and working with a company that does not value their customers enough to communicate delays in completion. I asked to speak with the manager at this point, and Larry would not put the manager on the phone because "the manager is who answered the phone and put me on". I was out of a vehicle on that day as well because Apple Chevy did not communicate the delay in service to me, and by the time that I called them I was unable to get to Enterprise in time to pick up the rental car. read more

LIARS We went there over the weekend and picked a car we liked that was in our budget. The salesperson, Tirk said it needed some repairs and assured us they would be taken care of. We took it for a test ride and the car and it was not a smooth ride. They called a couple days later and asked when we wanted to pick the car up. My husband took it for another test drive and it was vibrating. That would explain why Tirk didn't want him to go on the highway and said he didn't feel the vibrations. They went to the service department and one of the employees went on a ride with my husband and confirmed what my husband said that when you drove over 50 mph the card vibrated. The part that really made me angry was how Tirk blatenly lied and the things he said when I called him out. He said I don't have time to test ride all the cars and they want us to push sales. We asked again why the car was not taken for a test drive and he said it should have been. Duh! We then spoke to John the used car manager who was useless. He also lied because we pretty much made up our mind we were not buying the car. We asked if he could do anything about the price on another car. He gave us some nonsense that the markups aren't there because of the internet. Meanwhile Tirk already gave us a price that was about $1000 less.When I told John I was really angry he asked me why. Really! He said he would have another salesperson call us and as of yet no one has reached out to us. I understand Tirk cannot control what the service department does or does not do but what I can't deal is being lied to. An apology from Tirk would have been appreciated. All he cared was making a sale. As a matter of fact when my husband was there in the afternoon without me he had the audacity to ask when we would be in to sign the papers. Apparently all they care about is making a sale and don't care about selling you a defective/unsafe car. read more

Annoyed when I dropped my car off for a 7am appointment and hadn't heard from anyone by 1:30. I called in, was told the one handling my car was at lunch and would have them call me back. I then called at 3:30pm for an update, was 'accidently' disconnected... waited a minute to see if they would call me but they didn't. So I called back again, only to be told it would be another 20 minutes. When I inquired as to how that could be possible, she told me that it's expected that 7am appointments are done by the end of the day and there's no rush unless someone is waiting there. Glad that was never told to me or available anywhere,because I never would've chosen that time in the first place. Last time I'll ever go there for any type of service. Aside from the crappy customer service, I didn't get any type of report on my car so I'm hoping the service itself was done on a better level. read more

The brake calipers tied up on our 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. We dropped the vehicle off over the weekend and the problem was diagnosed very quickly. While we waited for parts, we were offered a rental car at no expense. The lines of communication were constantly open during the repair process and the vehicle was repaired, cleaned and washed and returned in tip-top shape. 2011 traverse bought from Apple and they fail to tell you that if you don't change the oil exactly 3,000 miles on the mile (full synthetic oil should not need to be changed as frequently as standard motor oil) that you will have timing chain problems in the future. The timing chain failed and the vehicle went to the service center. Its supposed to be a 48 hour job to replace the timing chain and they had the vehicle finished within an 8 hour period. And wouldn't you know....13 months later the timing chain failed again and the engine blew. And of course they only back their work up to 12 months. They would not work with us at all. I would not recommend this place to someone I hated with all my guts. read more

Our salesman Greg Weber was great...he took time to explain everything to her since we were waiting on the letter totaling her other vehicle to come in. While we were waiting for approval there was a loud disturbance. A door slammed in the office area, then we heard someone very loudly telling someone else that he was f-ing tired of having to fix all the screw-ups, and they need to f-ing fix it. There was also much more to the discussion, laced very liberally with F-bombs but I wont go into those specifics. I was especially not impressed when I saw that the person yelling at our salesman was the MANAGER, Richard Miller. If things has not already been started for the purchase, I don't think we would have given our business to them. We didn't appreciate having to listen to this while we sat there.
