PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY KNOW WHAT YOU MAY BE GETTING BEFORE GIVING THEM MONEY. i am only choosing 1 because 0 was not an option. I was interested in purchasing a white 2005 honda crv that they had on their lot and I was looking for another car. The vehicle look nice for the most part on the outside and inside (a few dents and scratches both inside and outside, but I would deal with that whatever). They had just gotten the car at auction on the day I first saw it. When I spoke with the owner he said the one that was on this lot had a bad transmission but they had another one in the second lot up farther so we went up there to look at it and the condition of it was as I mentioned earlier in this statement. They said their mechanics needed to look over it and inspect it and then they would give me a call when it was ready and that it would probably be ready next friday (being told this information thursday) I said ok. We spoke friday and I was told it wasn't ready yet and they order their parts from the honda dealership and they were slow delivering items at times again I say alright. I spoke with the salesman again on monday and am told it is ready for pick up tomorrow being tuesday. I'm all excited to get this car and they seemed like nice people. I pick up the car and they give you 24hrs with the opportunity and even suggest that you take it to your mechanic and have them look it over before you decide to purchase the vehicle. I'm thinking that's good business, right. I was way wrong and they are a very shady company. I heard a strange noise not even getting within 5 miles of the place. My mechanic went for a drive in the vehicle with me to hear the noise I told them I had heard and looked at the car. Please keep in mind this car was just inspected by drive right's mechanics that's why I had to wait to even get the car. The vehicle had 2 warped front rotors, RR wheel bearing makes noises at 50+mph, a RR parking light out, rear turn signals were not amber color, ground wire at passenger engine mount not attached, no battery hold down, coolant overflow bottle almost empty, oil pan/front crank seal is seeping oil, LR caliper new(forgot to reinstall brake hose mount bolt), RR tire dry rotted (low tread/could hurt the
AWD system), LR tire was brand new off brand I've never heard of and did not match the other 3 tires, idle surges w/AC on (should change spark plugs) and last but note least the code scanner read 2 codes 25-1 and 83-1. Over half those items do not pass pa state inspection as well as harm the AWD system and cause other problems to the vehicle. Yes they offer a warranty that looks good and may cover the work needing done, but 1-it was just inspected by their mechanics and it took them a week to change a tire I'm assuming with all the items that do not pass inspection last time I had my car inspected. 2- why do I want to give you $2000 down (which was more than they were even asking) just to have to bring the car right back for you to fix it while I'm making bi-weekly payments and full coverage insurance and still not a a car. I see were this make work well for them but not me. When I took the car back and told the man what my mechanic (I have been using forever and do a great job) said and showed him the paper they filled out for me to give to them (the salesman made a copy to keep). He just acted like he had no answers when questioned about what they did in the week + they had it. I also questioned what they were asking total for it which was $11,995 because they kelly bluebook value on a 2005 honda crv in good condition is only worth $7,000 keeping in mind cosmetically they car a scratches an minor dents mileage 108,704. Again no real answer from the salesman (Steve I think was his name) So I explained if the fix all the items since most were needed to even have passed inspection and the other I believe would be covered under warranty and come down in price by about half. I was not giving them money and making payments and full coverage insurance just to return it and be without a vehicle still. The salesman said he would talk to the owner and be in touch. I would check drive right's website to make sure the sale was still pending all to find that they posted it back up for sale. And to make it better they are asking $1595 down and $90/week when the owner had told me $1395 down $85/week. And here is the icing on the cake they never called back either.I see this place as shady and trying to take advantage of people by screwing them out of money and them not having a car. It's scare to think that the same mechanics that said this vehicle passed inspection would be the same ones covering the warranty. They are very dishonest as I can see the whole way around and I plan to make people aware of what they do. O and I almost forgot the car came with absolutely no gas when I picked it so they also get a full tank of gas. This company should be so proud at how shady they try read more
