Living in Coronado we often find ourselves…read morelimited in the services available to us, but I entered this relationship with wide eyes and open arms. They charged me more than $1,000 to add memory to my Mac, repair a disc drive and speed up my functionality. They assured me all my software would work with the operating system upgrade they sold me. I ended up spending hundreds more on software that wasn't compatible with the new OS. Worse, two of my four rear access ports are lifeless. I'm limping along now with less of a work station than when I started with Tent City Tech. And I paid a lot of frickin' money for this honor. I do not recommend Tent City Tech. When I tried to write them my emails and phone messages were ignored. Through FB Messenger I finally reached the managing partner. He wrote me back a form letter saying essentially that they were through with me and I was on my own, "... but thank you." When I tried to respond he had blocked me. What a sad thing to have nothing good to say about someone or a business. Not my style. But I can only hope others will check Yelp before investing with these bozos.

This is a legit brick and mortar PC store.... Which you don't see anymore. RIP Fry's. The other employees were also very helpful. After they installed my new cooler and did some BIOS updates, they let me sit down right next to them and check it out. This seems like an awesome family run business. Kudos again to Nathan and the employees. Will recommend to all my friends and come back here for any PC needs.

I live and die by my pc tower set up for graphic design…read more Although, I love my Mac - my tower is custom. I asked a friend to ship it from Vegas to San Diego, mistakenly assuming she would put it in its original packaging like I had requested. It was only a few months old. A new baby. After paying for the shipping and extra for her time I get my baby in a used USPS box - no padding. For some reason a can of open caramel covered macadamia nuts was tossed in the box - it wasn't opened per se when it was put in but it exploded in the shipping process getting a sticky sugary nightmare all over the innards of my tower as August in Vegas shipping causes sweet things to melt. Imagine the largest facepalm in the world! I first let my friend try to fix what he called the Mercedes of towers. It wasn't name brand, just custom built for a graphic designers needs. Well, he got it to where it turned on... I needed a professional, on a budget. I called around, everybody was asking $400 and at least a 7 day wait. Then I called Selectronic - which I should of called first but I was skeptical of the sketchy Midway location. I was quoted less than half the price. I just wanted everything wiped and back to 0. Not a lot to ask for, I don't understand why it would cost so much at other places. I didn't care if anything were saved, that's what an external hard drive is for. I took in my beaten up baby, and instantly loved everybody there. 2 people who just like what they do. I had daily updates on my tower and got it back in a few days.
