Do not walk, RUN to this bakery. If you are looking for something new and delicious, you will not…read morebe disappointed. The standouts were the ube latte and the crème brûlée cruffin. The ube latte was perfectly sweet with a strong ube flavor. The crème brûlée cruffin had a top that was so crispy from the toasted sugar that I couldn't cut into it, and the bottom was just stuffed full of cream. It was super messy to eat and impossible to share- next time I am getting my own. We also had the pandan coconut cupcake, which was good but not as exciting as the cruffin. The pandan and coconut were both equally strong flavors- I liked it better than my husband did. The Thai tea cake in a cup was also excellent, but outshone by the cruffin. They were out of a few other things we wanted to try by 11am on a Saturday, so get there early if you want something specific. The gentleman running the counter was very friendly and efficient, even when they were busy. Seriously, get the crème brûlée cruffin. I know I will be back for it.

I hadn't been to this cute and interesting (Vietnamese-French fusion!) bakery for quite a while…read more(looked it up: wow, four years--time flies). My girlfriend was taking a class nearly across the street, so I thought I'd check it out. I was disappointed that they've apparently stopped making crêpe cakes as that was a favorite. There were none in the case and they're no longer mentioned on the Web site. Alas. However, there were lots of interesting items on display. I selected a Strawberry Croissant, a Chocolate Cupcake, and one of the cake cups: Ube Tres Leches Milk Cake. I'd never seen anything like that last item before. The strawberry croissant is filled with fresh strawberries and vanilla cream. I was worried that it might be soggy, but it was crispy, flaky and very tasty. The frosting on the cupcake was chocolate-flavored chantilly cream. This was heavenly. Absolutely perfect. I never contemplated ube plus tres leches. There is a traditional Vietnamese version (ha, you Latin purists!) that uses the flavors of Vietnamese iced coffee, but ube is a new approach. The number of different cultures involved here is making my head spin, but the result was delightful, of course. A mini cake in a paper ice cream cup is also a great idea. More substantial and easier to eat than a cupcake, but still a good snack for one person. Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. The business faces Colfax Avenue. There's street parking plus a large, free parking lot behind the building. There are a number of tables if you can't wait to get your purchases home and a variety of drinks including Vietnamese coffee, a full espresso bar, tea, and lemonade. Bánh mi and other breakfast and lunch sandwiches are available plus rice bowls. I really enjoyed my purchases. Downtown Aurora is a bit of a drive for me, but I definitely need to make the trip more often.

We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. We grabbed an éclair, a blueberry muffin, and two ham and Swiss croissants. Every single thing was outstanding. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. We always have every intention of taking pictures... and then we take one bite and completely forget. That's probably the best compliment we can give. We loved sitting inside, which is intimate, cozy but still roomy. We are looking forward to sitting outside in their patio space. Staff are also exceptional!

The place was modest and quirky, with a random small chandelier adorning this bakery. Families, groups of friends, and cyclists were in the mix of patrons on a Saturday morning. All servers were very friendly, helpful with dish descriptions, and fast! The ham and cheese croissant and a shared cinnamon bun was in the cards. The pastry was flakey, buttery, and very tasty. The sesame, roasted onion and garlic sprinkled on top of the pastry was delightful. The warm cheese and ham inside were also good. The cinnamon bun was a nice mix of croissant and cinnamon bun; also flaky and buttery. I am guessing flakey, soft, and buttery is their signature! One minor thing, that coffee was not good, but the food made up for it. Overall, this was a very nice place that got us interested in all the pastries with that buttery flavor. For sure a recommend for visitors and locals.

Such a home-y vibe!…read more It's inside of a church! I was driving a friend from Centennial to Aurora and this place was perfectly on the way. Literally nothing much else around AT ALL. It was a SINGLE pin on my google map - no pins near it at all! I must have pinned this at some point as "a place to go to sometime when in the area" but I really can't remember pinning it and am not sure why I would pin a coffee shop located in a church! However! This is the second coffee shop that I've seen in Denver while driving by - like located as part of a massive church, so it was interesting to actually be checking it out. It was a weekday and there was a vast parking lot and there were like 4 cars. LOTS of parking! Once inside, I immediately relaxed! Didn't even know I was tense! There was so much to look at and it smelled so good inside. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. Something baked tho. My eyes wandered everywhere over the various retail areas, the furniture - couches to patio furniture, the people behind the counter, the various large chalkboards, menus, etc. Lots to look at. I wound up getting a spicy chai! I never order chai! I must have been under some strange spell from being immersed in the warm comforting baked goods aroma! The spicy chai had KICK! It was so good that I ordered a second one to go! My friend ordered that ham+cheese biscuit which looked amazing, with those cheese legs dripping! Whoa! It was such a nice coffee + conversation vibe. I would totally go again if I am ever in that area again! Oh! The 2 behind the counter were very friendly and knowledgeable about their vast variety of menu and drink items!

I got the cardamom bun latte. I was expecting more spiced flavor, I didn't really get that. While I wouldn't get that same drink again, I got this donut cake pastry that was absolutely phenomenal. It was like biting into a cloud, and the bottom was dusted with a cinnamon sugar which elevated the plain cake. It had a decadent chocolate glaze that was so delicious. I wish it would have been a bit thicker but all in all it was very scrumptious. For that donut cake alone I would definitely come back.

Docking a few stars for the following reasons: - I asked for fresh strawberries and blueberries for the filling, but there was barely any fruit inside... - Cake design was nothing like i had ordered. I actually didn't notice how odd the design was until i got home and put the cake topper on (see photo) Maybe just go with a simple design. Lastly, don't try to pick up your cake earlier than the scheduled time. First time I've experienced a cake not being made earlier than scheduled pickup--I must be spoiled. I came by 2 hrs early (at 11am) when my pickup was at 1. They were still making the cake and said to come by 1. She mentioned they get backed up on weekends and don't have a lot of staff, so I get it. Came by at 2 just to make sure it was done. Just want to call that out; don't come earlier than your scheduled pickup time.

Not too sweet, proportionate cream to bread ratio, and the fruits were fresh. On another occasion, this bakery also did my sister's birthday cake which was requested ahead of time with a specific aesthetic in mind (picture attached, name scribbled out for privacy sake). Again, it was perfect! The inside of the store is pretty typical, has Korean pastries and even offers shaved ice. But as we all know, it's the inside that counts ;)
