Went to the movies again today and the update is the kids meal now come with a little pencil topper toy! The kids were so excited and happy with this new change. Definitely a great idea to keep the kids happier with the popcorn kids meal.

I enjoy cineplex theaters. The South Edmonton Common theatre has a lot of space and the theatres are generally pretty clean. Thanks for hosting these movie screenings! They offer food options, in addition to popcorn and pop, such as poutine, pizza, hot dogs, chicken fingers, nachos, and other delicious items. You can have dinner and watch a movie! Lots of bathroom stalls are good for the after movie rush

CLOSED CLUBHOUSE- HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Very disappointed in today's visit! I live outside of Edmonton, the visit was supposed to be extra special for my son & his friend. Cineplex has failed us, not happy!!! We came all this way to have the kids experience the "Clubhouse" theatre as they watch there movie but the staff refused to open the area for them! No explanation & no reason for this disappointment! I will not come all this way a

We watched the screening of Gifted. The movie was fantastic and the little girl that plays Mary was amazing!! The overall atmosphere of the cinema was pleasant

This is one of the best cinemas in the city in my opinion. The line up is usually crazy, and it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day you go -- you will line up for at least a little while. But once you get inside, the theater is usually pretty clean and the staff are pretty nice too. The chairs are super comfortable! I can't even remember the last time I went to another theater other than this south common Cineplex, but I don't remember the seats being this comfortable. If you don't mind waiting in line, come to this theater. Keep in mind also, that you can buy tickets online now and that is supposed to help save some time in the line up. Check out http://www.cineplex.com to buy tickets online.

This is my favorite theatre in Edmonton. I think it's the busiest too. The reasons I like this theatre so much are because it is huge, they have yogen fruz, and the chairs recline. What more could you want from a movie experience!? Granted, it's expensive, but all movies are expensive these days. Thankfully, Telus Tuesdays are now in full operation at Cineplex Odeon South. You get a movie admission and popcorn and a drink for less than the price of one normal admission on any other day! YAY! I love a good deal! As I said, this is a very busy theatre so the lineups can get pretty ridiculous. If you are going on a weekend, go a bit early or you might miss the first part of your movie or it might even be sold out!

I like this Cineplex facility as It's close to my office so I can come her any day. At this theater you can find 1 DBOX Screen, 7 (3D) Screens, 2 UltraAVX Screens, 16 Screen in total, 2 Party Rooms, XSCAPE Entertainment Centre and an ATM. Outtakes is the company in charge of the fastfood in the movie theater, they offer hot dogs, fries and poutine, nachos, beef burgers, wraps, chili, chicken tenders, brownies, etc. They also have pizza 73 and Poptopia. If you are on the south side, this is your best choice. I hope in the near future they can have an IMAX screen as there are just two IMAX screens in the city, one on the WEM and the other one on Telus World of Science but nothing on the south of the city.

Like all the other Cineplex theatres in Edmonton (excluding Movies 12). Lots of parking and usually good service.

I do not have a SCENE card - if you go to the movies often then it would be worthwhile to sign up and get some perks .

Also, They just hosted the Lunchbox Shorts for Edmonton Downtown Dining. We had a great hour of food related films and for 15 bucks that also included a delicious burrito from Rostizado. Nice enough theater and really close to Fionn McCool's so you can go there for a drink later.

It was Sunday night which is Senior's Day and it's great they have deals most days. It wasn't too busy, there were just two people in front of us to buy our tickets and concession had no line. It was nice to be able to select our seats too. The washrooms were clean and there were enough stalls so no line up. The movie poster for our theatre was incorrect, so some people were in the wrong theatre. It was the first evening movie and the theatre was clean and ample leg room. The cup holder was a bit sticky but not bad. Another minor issue was the AC was blowing down throughout the movie and I had my hoodie as I usually get cold in theatres but it was still minor annoyance. Good theatre and would see a movie again here if I was downtown.

The films are of great variety from animals, environment, action, and more! Recently, I went to see Pandas: The Journey Home in 3D. It was a weekday afternoon and there were about 10 others in the theatre. It would be great to see more people watching this film but it was shown a few times that day and has been playing for a while now. The seats are assigned when you buy your tickets. I was really impressed with the renovations of the theatre. I didn't have to hold my seat down which is great for those who have their hands full with snacks. Most of the seats are in the middle with about 4 on the sides. The 3D glasses they gave you are big and sturdy and almost seemed new even though people have worn them. They are much better than the ones I have worn at the regular theatres. If you are a panda fan, this is a must see film! For 40 minutes, we got to see cute and cuddly pandas as they grow from babies at the Wolong Panda Centre in China. There's also a story of a panda preparing and returned to the wild. Love the new IMAX theatre! The price is $13.95 for adults but there's a 10% coupon in the SUTP. The best way to see lots of shows more economically would be to purchase a membership or volunteer! One of the volunteer perks is to get free passes after you've completed certain number of hours and time but it's fun to volunteer here!
