We came here for a week night screening of the new Dune movie. I was a bit apprehensive as this is the first move we have been to in almost 2 years. But I was pleasantly surprised. The whole experience was wonderful. It was quick and easy to scan our vax passes, and there was literally no line at concession. Once we got into the theatre it was completely empty, only 20 mins before the show started. Eventually one other couple came in and sat down. But that was it, there were 4 people including us in the theatre. We basically got a private screening, so fun!! The movie was incredibly loud, but that may have something to do with the empty theatre as volumes are set for a mostly full theatre. But otherwise is was an awesome experience. read more

I've been to Manning Cineplex twice, and so far things are not looking good for this brand new location. Disappointing, given its convenience for me, but honestly we'll most likely go elsewhere next time. It gets a meh rating from me for the following reasons: - below average selection of food/drink alternatives, only one kiosk other than the usual popcorn/nachoes/candy/pop options - bright lights illuminating the stairs left on during movie (1st visit) - film out of focus, most noticeable during credits (2nd visit) -- how do you screw this up with modern projection? - theatre not cleaned between audiences (2nd visit) More on that last point - we arrived for a midweek matinee, probably 20 min early. People were seated in our theatre, but I noticed many rows around them had popcorn bags, cups etc. We saw they were discarded and not fresh, so our group cleared out a spot and sat down. After a little while I went out to ask about the theatre being cleaned. Asked the young fellow checking tickets about the theatre, and he nervously explained they were going to clean the theatre and had closed the doors, but people had gone in anyways before they could clean. I explained how entire rows were full of garbage and empty of people, and he repeated his previous statement. I could see he was looking kind of helpless so I asked to speak to a manager. She took about 5 min to come. Her response was that they should clean around the people and that they would do so, but by then it was 5 min till showtime. She disappeared in the back for a while returned with movie passes for the group. I cannot fault the friendliness of the young staff, but there are a number of things that are not being well managed in this Cineplex location. I really hope this new cinema doesn't lose it's shine too quickly, but so far not so good. read more

This is a great little theatre located just off the Manning and the Henday in the NE end of Edmonton. Came here for the first time last weekend to take the kidlets to the latest Disney Movie, Zootopia. The Theatre was clean and spacious. The seats were SUPER comfortable and easily reclined back a bit. This theatre is definitely smaller than some of the other Cineplex locations in Edmonton but that wouldn't stop me from coming back. Parking was easy and there are quite a few new restaurants popping up in the parking lot here including "Blazed Pizza" - Can't wait to give them a try! Been going to this nearby theatre ever since it was built, I'm a movie goer. Always seeing the latest movies, gets me out of home. Loved movies since I was a child and still do, I branched out into the sci fi mostly but I still view random movies. Anyways, main point is that this place is well done. It's simple and easy, just come to watch your movie and out. Nothing fancy here, has a few arcade games, lots of places to dine after the movie as well. Because everyone knows that it's expensive to buy food here unless your desperately hungry or lazy. Unfortunately if a movie isn't popular then most likely it won't be premiered here, you'd have to check on the cineplex app to see where the movie is playing. In that case Cineplex South, North or Scotiabank theatre (WeM) will mostly likely be playing the unpopular films. Staff is friendly, parking here is big but a hassle with the restaurants right next to the theatre, which may force you to park around the building but not far of a walk. Recommended for avid movie goers like myself, group night, or date night. Hahaha ;) read more

Good lord, the seats here are comfortable. We went to see two movies in a row on May 31st, and ended up in the second row for the newest X-men flick, and the seats reclined enough that I didn't feel like I was having to crane my neck back to see everything. The back support was awesome, and I didn't feel like I was squished in a full theatre. For Maleficent, we were in nerve back row, and they actually left space behind the seats so you can lean back. The sound in the new AVX theatre was so great: crystal clear and a great range of tones. I hope they can keep up the good work, and this will be our new go to theatre. read more

Really no complaints with this theatre as far as Cineplex goes. Parking is MUCH easier than the south common location I'm used to (even before all the construction started in SC). When you enter there are plenty of kiosks to purchase tickets without having to go to the counter. I was using a combination of Scene points and pre purchased tickets on my latest visit, so we headed to the counter. The "cast member" there was pleasant and had no issues combining things. From there we headed to the snack counter - we had about half an hour until our movie started and we hadn't eaten all day. We were there for a 2 pm matinee on a Sunday, so the line ups were not bad at all. They've put the "ticket tearing" station BEFORE the snack counter now so you can't just pop in and get some popcorn to take home anymore (i've never done that myself, but I've heard of other people doing it lol). There are a few little tables near the arcarde area to sit and have a bite before you head in. Once in the theatre, the seats were comfy, sound and visual quality were great, and there was lots of leg room. Really... no complaints! I imagine parking might get a little more cramped as more businesses move into the area, but it looks like they've done a really good job of laying it out to avoid big issues. read more

This is one of the newer theatres that was built in our city recently. It's a typical Cineplex, but much cleaner. It's very child friendly. There's a sort of sculpture playground in front of the main entrance with a few benches hanging around. Parking is a breeze since the area is still developing & lots of fast food chains are popping up around here. If you need a more satisfying meal, there's a chilis next door. Service is friendly, if you go during matinee, there's virtually no waiting. Kids 2 & under are free. Cineplex also has stars & strollers events catered to mommies taking their babies with them. You can also get better deals on tickets & popcorn by buying movie passes through Costco or AMA. A scene card is always a plus for discounts on food & earning points for free movies. The arcade is huge & distracting since its directly right of the entrance. Washrooms are pretty clean, however the stall I used had no toilet paper. There's also plastic booster seats available so you don't have to watch with a tiny tot on your lap. The kids popcorn pack is great too & something I like to get for myself because it has a decent serving of popcorn, a soda & a mini m&m tube...perfect movie munchie sampler! read more

I love this place!! It's quieter than all of the other theatres I've been in and the seats are still new enough to feel amazing, even after an hour of sitting. Order the frozen yogurt if you like cold treats. They always give lots and it's pretty yummy stuff. read more

Everything is bigger, cleaner and fresher here! Sure it's because they just opened but I'm really likening the minimalist decor and open spaces in the lobby. The staff seems to be the usual collections of young people that you'd expect at any theatre. And well, the fast food is par for Cineplex... Over priced but handy if you're in a pinch since there's no restaurants in the immediate area. I love the cushy big seats and even though I feel like a mouse in a maze, the longer hallways into the theaters here help minimize the outside noises while you're enjoying a show. read more

Theatre is very dirty, even after they "clean" it. I was there one time and they had left there staff door open to their lunchroom and it showed exactly how they take care of the rest of the building, I was disgusted, especially because this is a newer theatre. Staff also seems to not care. The theatre is always way too cold, and they don't seem to get the theatres "cleaned"until 5 minutes before show is starting- this happened to me 3 times. The location is nice the building itself is new and the curb appeal is nice, but overall I have had better experiences. read more

Have had great experiences at this theatre. I love that it's close to my house. I have heard complaints from others but I have not had any. The popcorn had always been warm and yummy, the movies have ran fine and the theatre seats comfortable. I'll definitely keep going when there is a movie I wanna see on the big screen. read more

Great new little theatre. All the seats are the nice comfy ones you find in UAVX OR IMAX, you'll find all the food and snacks that is afforded at the bigger Cineplex and the lines are usually quite small. Staff is great, had to return cold popcorn once with no problems. One last point; when the theatre first opened the staff a bit sluggish but has since worked out the kinks. read more

My review is for my customer service experience. I had purchased my tickets in advance and when my family arrived, my code wouldn't scan or be accepted. So I went to the customer service desk. The lady asked me if it was for this theatre. I then said I had bought the tickets for the north Edmonton location. I had accidentally purchased to tickets for the St-Albert trail location but gone to the other North Edmonton location in Manning. When I asked if she could accept these tickets (switch the location) she said I would have to purchase new ones for this location and I would have to call Cineplex customer relations to try to get my other tickets reimbursed. It had already cost us about $70 for our tickets. I didn't feel like paying another $70 and then try to explain and hope to have my others reimbursed. I would have expected better service. While it was my mistake, the movie was playing, we were well ahead of time and the theatre wasn't busy at all when we showed up. It would have been nice that our tickets could have been accepted. Because of this, we chose to drive to the other location. Next time I will be sure to double check my location before buying tickets! read more

My favorite place for movie...good screen n sound system. Also gaming area for kids and thankfully all the games are working fine. Have seen many other cinemas games are broken and not maintained at all. Snacks counter is good and have good variety of choices. A must recommended place to watch movie...have fun! read more

This is the best Cineplex I've been to, and I've been to most of the in-town locations and some in BC. Its spacious, clean, the seats are amazingly comfortable, and all of the food services are actually open (unlike the North side location). You also have the option of a few good restaurants in the parking area, so thats a bonus. read more

Very nice, new theatre. Was easy to get tickets however, popcorn line was another story. Stood in line for 25 minutes. Kid that was taking orders (name was Guraj) was very slow and lax. Didn't even phase him that the line ups next to him were zipping through. Spilled my popcorn, didn't get butter in one of them. Mentioned to his "helper" that we had been waiting for 26 minutes and she said "it's busy." No apology for the loooooooong wait. Then as we were entering the theatre, we saw that there was popcorn topping that was free at the napkin/straw counter and I commented that we could have gotten this rather than paying. The ticket taker says "do you want butter or grease?" in a very snarky tone to which I replied "customer service is clearly not in the forefront here" and walked into the theatre as he was nattering some smart ass reply. Inside the theatre was impressive - comfy, semi-reclined seats and lots of leg room. Because of the long wait for popcorn, we had to side along the side (no biggie), however, the aisle lights remained on for the entire movie. I'll go back but if I receive the same calibre of customer service that I did tonight, I'll be speaking up. read more

My Fiancé and I enjoy coming here due to the close proximately to our home. The seats are comfortable and there are lots of space between you and the seat in front of you. The issues that the new theatre needs to work on would be the hastiness of the staff working the popcorn and food counter. Even though the theatre has only been open for a short time, I had figured their staff would eventually get the hang of things and be able to react quickly to the customer orders. Unfortunately I find they are still slow and the line barely flinches even after ten minutes of waiting. I find the "hot" foods where they sell poutine and hamburgers absolutely abysmal. I once ordered a poutine which took nearly 20 minutes and once I got it the gravy was cold which left the cheese custards clumpy. However, I'm sure in due time this place and their young staff will really thrive. Also, this has nothing to do with the actual theatre but I find it attracts people that prefer to chat aloud as opposed to sit and watch a movie in silence. The last 5 times we have come here I seem to always sit next to buddy's girl friend that feels the need to laugh and talk the entire film. Boy I miss the days when folks were respectful when they come to the movies. read more

Since this theater has been built it is the one I usually go to as it is close to my house and I have never had a bad experience. The chairs are comfortable and the service is great although it can be quite busy so the line ups can be crazy. read more

Other than the pizza and popcorn the food the microwaved so tastes like leftovers, I had a chicken burger microwaved to the point where it was rock hard, returned it to get a hotdog that made me feel sick. Yet they charge an arm and a leg.. smh read more

New, clean, and really awesome theatre. I feel as if you have tickets in advance and go about thirty minutes early, there's plenty of time to get food (good variety - for theatre food anyway), go to the bathrooms (even they are nice), and relax before the movie starts. The seats are super-comfortable, and angled well enough that there's a good view from most of the seats. Plus, it's so nice to have another reserved-seating theatre available on the North side. Here's hoping it stays this good for a long time! read more

Terrible place to visit. The staff are fine. The management in this theatre, however, could use some anger management classes. I came in on a day that was slow and only had a few buyers in it and I heard a manager call one of the supervisors an idiot at the Outtakes area. Asked the workers what that was about and turns out that was the general manager who was too "tired" to grab stock for them and decided to yell at the poor young-ins in the lobby in front of everyone. Very unprofessional to see and hear on my first visit. Came out of my movie and heard another manager telling another worker how he doesn't care if they need water, they're not allowed to drink it on duty and to go on break if they want any. If my child every worked here then Lord help them, it must be harsh on them. read more
