The gnats were ridiculous.. decided to skip out on the popcorn I regret purchasing for the flick

I've been going here for several years now and it's always a good experience. It's in better shape than most Cinemarks and feels very safe. I am not afraid to see films here by myself at night. The staff is friendly, the popcorn is delicious. Always kept clean. Sound could be better, but I'm paying $4.50-$6.50, so no complaints. Plus, they have live Rifftrax, which is always fun. read more

I chose this theater for the digital plus big screen to see "Into the Storm". I purchased tickets on Fandango for the show in that theater. When we arrived, the movie was moved into a smaller theater. The concessions are not free refills on drinks and popcorn when you get the largest size. The seats are close together and the armrests do not move. These are things that are pretty standard in good theaters these days. Additionally, there was 1/2 hour of ads prior to the movie that were annoying. I would not go back. read more

I've been here a lot recently. The movie theatre overall is great. Easy to get in, XD theatre is huge and seats for everyone all over. Reserved seating is awesome. Now that the good parts are out of the way, the bad parts are still there. The general concession stand is good. Pretty quick and no nonsense transactions. The side area with Starbucks and the grill side is missing a lot of pieces. I've always had to wait to get either a food order or a Starbucks order made. There's always a small line of people and waiting for awhile really makes it difficult to enjoy. I literally watched one person walk in and out from the back doing nothing while the lady was taking more orders. In the meantime, my iced caffe mocha was not being made. Literally took an additional 5-7 minutes cause nobody was making it. They need a better routine to help here. The place is clean overall and everything else is fine. Work on the ice cream, Starbucks area and it'll be 5 stars. read more

This isn't the best cinemark I've been to but they have huge theaters with a lot of seating.

This movie theater is one we frequent often since the prices are lower than average. Service is fine, concession prices and taste are all on par, the theaters are pretty roomy and clean. If they did that Rave did and make the seating assigned with the barriers to block cell phone distractions we would come here exclusively. read more

I like this old theater!!! Cheap prices and never not have a seat for me! Purchase in person at the box office for even cheaper prices! Also go on Tuesday's! This theater just recently updated their seats! Heated seats and recliners! You can't beat that for under $10 bucks!!! Love it!! read more

The theater is pretty solid. Nice comfortable seats, good popcorn but you seriously can't beat the prices. $4.25 matinee and $6.50 for a regular ticket, that is a great deal. Stay away from the hot dogs though because they take the leftovers and freeze them and then serve them again the next day, gross! Other than that it is a great place to see a movie! read more

FINALLY...a theatre that hasn't gone ridiculously overboard in terms of ticket prices. The movies are the same, it has good seating, and it's the cheapest movie theatre I've found that shows current releases. My wife and I see almost all our movies here. You can't beat the price for the matinee shows, it's always clean inside, the kids who work here are always nice and polite, and the popcorn is always fresh. We go here once every couple of weeks the last few years and have never had bad experience (well, except if the movie sucks). I really like this theater. Great food choices, Starbucks, snack bars on either end of the theaters and great location. The theater we watched the movie in was #17 and it was a smaller and more intimate theater. A little weird being in that small of a theater at first but it grew on me. Plus bc it was smaller everyone was really into the movie and we all had a good time. Seats were pretty comfy and it didn't get too cold in there which were two bonuses for me :-) read more

One of the lowest priced movie theater in DFW. The price is slowly sneaking up, but it is still a good deal so far. The theater is nice and clean. I would say they deserve 5 stars for the value. read more

For me this is the best theater. It's inexpensive and has good enough sets and sound.

I absolutely love Tinsel Town. The tickets are cheap for a theater these days, $4 for a non-3D matinee, $6.00 for regular features. The concessions are about the same prices as everywhere else, maybe a touch cheaper than AMC and Harkins. They even have a reasonably stocked arcade on site, something you don't find often these days. It's an older theater, opening about 15-20 years ago. It doesn't have the latest sound technology, it doesn't have the most bleeding edge projection system. But everything works quite well, the seating is really comfortable, the staff are friendly, and it's about as clean as most theaters you'll find. I have to admit it has a special place in my heart because I helped open this theater back in the day. But that doesn't change the fact that if you don't absolutely need the most cutting edge technology to enjoy a film this is one of the better places to go. read more

I was here today seeing Beauty and the Beast. During the entire movie there was a toddler talking LOUDLY and the only way the parents could stop the child was to give them their bright phone which lit up in the dark theater. Several others around also tried to give them a hint that their child was disturbing the movie. The family did nothing and just let the child continue to disrupt the movie. Very frustrated by that. When we addressed the issue with one of the managers, they came in and walked up and down the aisle and then left. While walking out of the theater I found another manager. When I approached this manager he was standing against a wall talking with a few ushers with his shoes off. Very unprofessional. When I explained the horrible experience I had and how I tried to get the managers to intervene he brushed us off and said nothing I can do since the movie is over but hoped we enjoyed the rest of our day. To me this was horrible customer service all across the board. I am very disappointed with Cinemark as well as Tinseltown Grapevine. I only wished I had written down the names of the two managers I had spoken to. read more

While there are a couple of theaters closer to my house, I consider Tinseltown to be my theater of choice. While it may not have a screen large enough to cause motion sickness, or a staff of waiters to bring you a burger and iced tea to you seat, it does have really good ticket prices. Despite the fact that you can't recline or roll around the floor in your seats, they are fairly comfortable. The popcorn is good and the Icees are not some generic knockoff. The only knock that I have about Tinseltown is that it does feel a bit worn down, but that is something that you generally notice before the movie starts. read more

Just spent over 3 hours watching Spectre. The movie was stopped and started 5 times with 5-9 minute delays each time. One time the movie started dialogue that didn't match the video. The previews started and the lights came on before the movie ended, but everybody just got up and left. The juvenile management thought the situation was humorous and offered us "rain" checks. Sunday afternoons are rare and this experience was ridiculous!! read more

I had not been to Tinseltown Grapevine (Cinemark) in a while but was extremely offended by some 15 minutes of TV Commercials, one right after the other, that they splat on the screen and right in your face. I go to the movies to try and avoid the BS I am forced to deal with on TV at home. Now the movie theaters are making money on tickets, huge prices for snacks, and have now added this shameful vast mountain of TV Advertisers to their mix. Too bad you cant bring the remote to the theatre and change the channel like we all do at home to avoid commercials. It is extremely offensive to be forced to sit through TV commercials at a movie theatre. read more

This is one of my favorite theaters I take our family too. My two favorite features are their $4.25 matinee prices and the fact they offer both 3D and non-3D of the same movies (my middle child can't handle the 3D). The $4 matinee price is awesome for a first run movie house. Even the regular price of $6 dollars is the cheapest in town. That being said, this isn't the fanciest theater but it is as nice as it needs to be. AMC Grapevine Mills charges twice as much for about the same quality. read more

First of all, DISGUSTING! If you have ever had your phone fall on their floor during your movie, I'm sure you've seen the grime under your seat. I don't know why they have more than one concession stand, out of all the times I visited when I was younger and during my most recent one, they've NEVER had any other open. That's beside the point, however. My worst experience yet was my most recent visit. My husband and I payed overpriced tickets through another provider because of a special ONE TIME viewing event. This movie was going to be available at ONE time slot for ONE day only. Fine, whatever, my husband really wanted to see it, so we splurged. Fast forward to the day of; ads rolling on the screen, getting our seats, etc. and this kid just won't stop. I think to myself, "oh, he'll calm down when the movie begins." I was dead wrong. This kid would be POUNDING the seat in front of him with his feet bending it in a way I'm sure it could break in and thank God no one sat in front of him, he told the entire theater to be quiet when the movie started, and he'd be talking at all times and playing with his loud toy when he got excited. His mom had absolutely no control of him, only telling him to "shut up" before she ended up falling asleep and snoring. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?! For the first time in my life, I demanded to speak to a manager. I explained my situation and I understood that when kids are involved, the situation would need some bending, but clearly this was just extreme with these guests. It's not like I could come back to see this movie and I'd have to struggle with another provider for a refund because Tinseltown wasn't responsible for providing the tickets for the movie. The young manager just LIED to me by "reassuring" me he would get SOMEONE, not even himself, to assess the situation. I sat back in my seat, the kid continues commenting loudly and kicking seats, and there was nothing. No one came. My frustration ACTUALLY left me in tears. This experience was several months ago, but I'm not convinced anything has changed. I was already reluctant to go to this theater for the event, but it was the only one in my area showing it and I will absolutely never be back for any reason. read more

Have been coming to this theater more since they closed the "cheapy" theater in Hurst. The only "negative" I have is the price for bottled water. I realize that theaters make most of their money from the concession stand and that popcorn and soda is just a "tad" overpriced, but 4 dollars for a bottle of water? A 20 ounce bottle of water. I hadn't looked up at the menu board for the price. I figured $2, maybe $2.50 at the most. My grandson doesn't drink soda so after my initial shock, he got his water and off we went to the movie. Next time, I'll either get him a cup to get water from the drinking fountain or smuggle in our own bottle of water. read more

I've been a customer at this location since it opened. It's very sad to see its customer service deteriorating so much. Corporate needs to train it's young staff. Went to see a movie. Didn't realize it was in XD and questioned the higher price. The boy behind the counter, Tristan, rolled his eyes at me and told me it was in XD. I watched the movie and didn't notice any difference between the two. Next time I will save my money and go with the regular show and hopefully not get the eyeball roll. read more

Hey, it's not perfect, but for a family of five the prices cannot be beat and the Matinee pricing is incredible at $4.75/person. Can fill up quickly for new releases but it's the only place we go. Wrap around the weekly coupon and a Cinemark giftcard from cardpool.com (20% off) and it makes it affordable to take the family out for a movie. Safe, well lit, good parking, lots of theatres...AND they have Starbucks coffee onsite for my wife. A great value all things considered...don't tell Cinemark. read more

The theater is only $4 matinee and $6 after six. The theaters are usually clean and so are the bathrooms. They have all digital projectors and stadium seating. There is a Harkin's and AMC near by that are very nice but i repeatedly return to Tinseltown because i have always had better movie experiences at Tinseltown. It gets 1 star. There are no free refills on large drinks. When a movie theater charges you through the roof for drinks and popcorn as it is, you come to expect free refills. Nope, I guess they are really hurting when they charge $6 for a large drink and say no to refills (soda costs pennies to make). In addition their seats are too small and drink holders dont go up. I get more bang for my buck elsewhere. They have lost my business. read more
