This place has a very nice roof top bar/restaurant, the bar is ok with a nice beer selection and some craft beer available the cocktails; my recommendation is to stick with the classics the mixology as they present it was not for me, most of the drinks were way to sweet and with no real flavor. In regards of the food the only dish that I really enjoyed is the Cauliflower tostada (I am not a Vegan) its delicious! I just cant get enough of it, the rest of the food is ok to try it. I will go back for more tostadas and cold beer

I had had this bar on my "to try list" for sometime and was so glad I finally tried it in August 2017. Even though Cine Tonala has been around for more than six months there is still some newness to it. Cine Tonala is located near seventh and Revolucion. If you are coming from San Diego it is easy to take an Uber or you can walk from the border. There are three levels to Cine Tonala. The first level has a café, photos of celebrities on the walls as well as the bathrooms. The second level has a boutique and a staircase. The third level is where the action is. There is a bar and numerous tables. Some nights there are films that are played via projection screen. While they do play movies, I have heard that many people just come to socialize and drink. The third level also boasts a great view of the city. I ordered a mojito and I really enjoyed it. I was with a group of more than twenty and all enjoyed their drinks. While I did not try any food items, what I did see on the plates of others at my table appeared delicious as the descriptions on the menu. The service was ok, but they could be more friendly. The prices seemed reasonable for a new location with a great view. And as I say for many places in Tijuana, I am already wanting to return.

Beautiful, very chic bar with multiple levels. It was chilly when my friend and I visited the top rooftop, but luckily they had several heaters. We were able to comfortably enjoy our delicious cocktails and see great views of the city. The owner was very friendly and stopped by our table to chat for a bit. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I visit TJ!

brief review of restaurant: great food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Tacos, salads, and cocktails set us back appx $30USD. the Umami taco and the beet salad were fantastic. if you haven't been to Ave Revolucion in a long time, i suggest you go. Wednesday early evening and a lot of people enjoying the area's food and drink scene. definitely on its way to being TJ's version of SD's Gaslamp District.

They don't provide straws with drinks, even if you ask for one! Tried the mojito and noticed a few brown mint leaves inside...maybe they need to pick through the leaves more thoroughly before adding them to drinks. We were there for an artist presentation--ordered drinks at the bar and were told they would deliver the drinks inside the theater (drinks never delivered and show ended). Big kudos for layout, bringing artists to the region and for opening on Av. Revolucion. They def need to improve service and introduce straws.

Like every boyfriend who wants to show his adoration for his gorgeous girlfriend, I planned this event a few weeks ago. Commitment & dedication are key. Flamenco Show, 3 course dinner for two, AND dancing after?! Yeah, your amigo has it covered! This package is available on their website, and not only on Valentine's. But this day does make it more romantic! A minor 5-10 minute wait as we stepped out of our Uber to the front entrance of the club adjacent to the restaurant. Our lovely hostess greeted us & escorted us downstairs to pick our table. There were no specific table reservations, but all seats are good, as it's a small venue. The Love Gods smiled upon us and granted a table close to the front with an awesome view of the stage. Perfect table for the perfect date! Starters set the tone. What's this? A Welcome Charcuterie Platter?! It appears out of nowhere as our server takes our drink orders. The service here is impeccable! Impressive spread of cheesy, meaty goodness! The Shaved Jamón Serrano Ensalada Sevillana has a wonderfully zesty citrus vinaigrette that makes you clack your castanets! Ole!! Cocktails for the cute couple! A Oaxacan Flower for my Monterrey Mami! My gal loves her some mezcal! I opted for El Matador Margarita, because I know what I want...tequila! Plus the cucumber counts as healthy! I will die on this hill! The Main Course is the star of the show. And in full diva fashion, the Lobster Paella Valenciana stole the spotlight! A masterfully, monstrous mix of meat & seafood, all on top of some bomb-a** Saffron Bomba Rice! There's even a lobster tail in case you're still hungry! Queue the Flamenco show. The two dancers were elegant, the music was powerful, the singer sublime! Enjoy your dinner to a phenomenal 2 part show put on by very talented artists! We got to meet them after the show, as they personally thanked practically every guest! Elegant as their artform! Lest we forget the dessert! The Flourless Chocolate Cake was just the right amount of sweetness to cap off the dinner & show, as we shared our own sweet nothings. Love & Chocolate, a perfect combo, just like my beloved beauty & her humble narrator. As the performers were packing up & saying their final goodbyes, the staff was clearing the space for the last part of our adventure...dancing! A brief 15ish minute wait back outside & back inside we went! Got a great spot up front by the stage, but be aware the only sitting will be done by the VIP section. I believe it's bottle service only, but you can ask. We didn't, as we did not intend to sit at all! We boogied down, baby! The DJ did a great job keeping the vibe alive. Perfect ending to a perfect night. *Caveat - The dinner menu has other options & several a la carte items, if you so choose. Check their website for specific package info. You cannot go wrong. TL:DR - Never give up on love!

It is very interactive so for that reason, I think it's definitely an acquired taste. The actors were incredible and really knew how to keep the audience engaged. I really wish the actors had a microphone because even though the room is small, it echos and when anybody at your table laughs, you miss what they are saying. I also did not like how close we were sitting to each other at the table. They should have less people at each table and bring more tables in. The food was the reason I took off a star. The food was incredibly disappointing. For $70, you would think they could serve better food. It's a 3 course meal and all were bad. The appetizer was like 4 tomatoes with balsamic. Not a salad and very small for an appetizer. I'm really glad they had a pita bread and hummus bar in the beginning because that kept me full until the main course. I got the vegetarian option which was pasta with veggies but the pasta was so over cooked it was like mush. I've never had pasta that soft. My bf got the chicken and he also felt it was too dry and it wasn't served with anything with substance like mashed potatoes or veggies or anything. Just some piece of kale. Dessert was cake. I thought it was cheesecake but it was more like coffee cake. Also very bland. No frosting or anything, just a little whip cream. Other than food, it was so much fun!!

I can easily rent something, wear my jammies, have a full meal and drinks in bed... but The LOT makes it worth getting out of the house. I still wear my jammies and slippers here and feel extra comfy. The reserved seating is a huge plus, and the recliners are so comfortable you feel like you're lying on a bed. With the push of a button, someone comes to take your order -- food, drinks, whatever you want. Yes, it's pricier than a standard theater, but the experience feels special. The theater itself is clean, small, and elevated compared to a typical movie theater. Each seat has its own little lamp and a swivel table for your snacks or dinner, which makes the whole setup feel boutique and cozy. I haven't tried the outdoor bar, restaurant, or café yet, but I love that they offer all of that in one place. This is the perfect spot for movies that deserve surround sound, a big screen, and a shared audience to laugh or cry with. And a tip: if you join their free rewards program, you can snag discounted tickets -- a great mid‑week treat. I would recommend getting their early to order your food/drink before the movie starts so you don't have to get intruppted mid movie! Ordered my tickets online, super seamless and there is ample parking, which is a plus but something was definitely lacking this last visit. I came here to watch Reminders of Him with my girlfriends, we had been so excited and we really wanted to watch it at a nicer movie theatre. Upon arrival no one greeted us or checked our tickets so we could have just walked in any movie, which was odd. When we got to our seat our server did greet us, he was nice got our order and before the beginning of the movie we received our food. I ordered a small water and a chicken Cesar salad wrap with fries, I think my total was $36 with tip which is steep for a chicken wrap. The fries were done nicely but there was hardly any chicken in my wrap, I was still hungry and should have ordered the burger or nachos. The experience was fine, the seats are comfy enough, it could have been cooler in the theatre but I run hot. At the end when we paid for our food, they didn't ask about boxes, so I had to take my food out to the front to ask for a box. Before we left, I went to use their bathrooms and man was it disgusting. There was toilet paper, candies and popcorn thrown all about the place. I completely understand that this bathroom is used by both the movie and restaurant guests but it was a little nasty, people need to be mindful of their children making messes in the stalls. Overall, not sure if I'd come back, the costs don't outweigh the service or quality of food, I'd just go to AMC La Jolla and save some monies and get cleaner venue and potentially better eats.

This being downtown San Diego of course you need to plan ahead for parking, but there are plenty of Lots nearby and walking distance, one of them that leads right into the parking lot of the theater. One of the positive aspects of being downtown is that you have plenty of options for dinner before or after the show. Of course you may want to make reservations ahead. They always offer concessions, of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as little charcuterie board type items, and candy, Etc. Of course just like any other venue of this type, it is priced above what you would normally pay for those items. I always try to sit in the orchestra section because I feel there is more leg room, and I hate to feel cramped. The seats also seem a bit more comfortable in that section. I will say I honestly don't think you could have a bad seat in this theater though. The sound is usually fine, but I will say for Moulin Rouge I had trouble hearing what they were saying especially during the songs. I love that everyone is always so helpful when trying to find your seat, they will walk you to your section and show you exactly where you need to go, which is nice because it can get chaotic with so many people ushering in. Overall this is a great location and the shows they have are amazing. Definitely reccomend looking at the season and seeing what they have to offer, they're is usually something for everyone
