Always a great time when I come in! Service is phenomenal, very customer service oriented and kind. The staff is very visible, helpful with one another and willing to help where needed. The whiskey/bourbon list in amazing! They have my favorite bourbon (Weller Antique). The Whiskey menu is definitely worth looking at! This is probably the first review I have done of a place where my visit started with us almost walking out, but, ended up with a decent rating. We arrived on NY's Day Observed Monday 1.2.22 around 1:30pm. I had never been here. The place was very busy. Hostess tells us it is about 10-15 minutes for a table. We can also sit at the bar if we can find a spot. She apologized for the wait and said they were hit with volume they were not expecting today. There is not much room at the bar at all. We find two stools. That is when I notice this is a bar that fits about 40 people and there is only one bartender. Rut Roh. She is working as calmly and professionally as she can but you can tell she is close to the edge. She came nowhere near us for quite some time so we grabbed our own menu placemats from the bar. We were not greeted or told "I will be with you as soon as I can." It took 22 minutes to get our drinks ordered. It took another 10 to get our food ordered. We considered walking out 10 minutes after our arrival. We didn't because we were starving and the other place we had considered was 20 minutes away. I don't live in the area. Relief bartender arrived about 45 minutes after we sat down. Things improved at that point. Drinks were fantastic and food was great. We will be back. If I have a similar experience, our second visit will be our last. I am only deducting 1 star despite the rocky start. This is because we loved our food/drink and the calm way the bartender handled an absolutely ridiculous and stressful situation. She did the best she could offering no attitude or excuses to patrons. The menu is varied and interesting for bar food. I definitely want to come back and try a bourbon flight. This was my 3rd time to Cinder Bar. We went around noon and found out that their regular food menu doesn't start until 3pm. So if you're looking for regular lunch food other than wings or pizza, I would suggest going somewhere else. Wings were good we got spicy Thai and Korean BBQ flavor. However the pizza was awful. We got the margherita pizza. It was SO thin, it was like picking up a soggy paper towel. We were excited about the brick oven pizza, but it didn't not meet our expectations. Definitely would not recommend getting pizza here. If we didn't walk in starving I don't think we would've even finished it. Fabulous Sunday brunch with many choices for brunch and drinks. The kitchen is done in a free style manor so your choices will always be served hot and fresh. For our first post-vaccination outing, we went for lunch and it was great! The classic Bloody Mary, candied bacon Bloody Mary, martinis, blood orange margarita and the end of lunch shake and wake were delicious as was the Italian Market sandwich, chorizo and corn pizza, pork chop, seared tuna, chicken wings and Buffalo cauliflower dip. First time visiting Cinder and I would definitely go back. The place is large, but has a good feel. I was with a large group and they sat us in this elevated, semi-private room which was really nice. Our server, Matt, was great. Very friendly and attentive and worked really hard to make our time there great. The food was solid. Pane and Ricotta app was delicious as was the Calamari. The Tuna Poke Bowl and the Whiskey Burger were also very good. Good draft selection, but on the pricey side. Mixed drinks were very good and worth the extra buck or two. read more

Brunch at Cinder Bar is fantastic. My bestie and I got a spot by the windows on a gorgeous day. We ordered the Honey Darlin' as our brunch beverage of choice, which is sweet tea vodka, lemonade, and strawberry and pineapple purée. It was fantastic. We then ordered the Short Rib Benedict and the Cannoli stuffed French toast as our entrees. We split them so we each got to try both and they were both perfect. At first I missed having a side of home fries with my Benedict, but the short rib eggs bene sits atop a potato latke, so I didn't miss having a second carb, and my scale was in agreement. Always worth a stop during happy hour (or anytime, really)! We had the margarita pizza, cheesesteak egg rolls, truffle fries, kids mac and cheese, roasted carrot crostinis, the toffee bundt cake seasonal dessert cake, and a few other small plates. Our server was super quick, friendly, and accommodated all of our requests with a smile. The place was medium crowded by 630, but not too loud to have a conversation with your table mates. They always have a warm atmosphere with exposed brick and comfortable seating. The cheesesteak egg rolls are one of our staple foods here. They're always perfectly crunchy and cheesy. I'm not a fan of onions, but you can't even tell they're mixed in them. The toffee bundt cake was AMAZING. It comes with butter pecan ice cream. We all shared and agreed it was most, had plenty of season spice flavor, and was warm and gooey. You definitely have to get it while it's on the seasonal options! read more

First time visit for a bite after a movie. I had the prime rib dip. Wasn't sure since I'm not a broccoli rabe fan but our waitress, Sam, recommended it. Excellent choice. Very tender meat well shredded and piled high. It was quite spicier than the normal French dip but absolutely delicious! My lady enjoyed a side salad and the crispy pork tacos. It's rare that she finishes her meal but she did with a hearty thumbs up. The restaurant (I know it's named bar but even with a limited menu, it deserves the title restaurant) is decked out like a 1920s basement reminiscent of the prohibition years and even has anti-prohibition signs painted in the 20s era style and aged to look like they have been there for 100 years. The staff is do young, they likely don't recall any year that starts with 19 but their restaurant certainly adds the flavor, both in taste and ambiance. read more

This place is amazing. Had a whiskey flight and my girlfriend had the pumpkin martini. We also shared a couple apps. Had the jalapeño deviled eggs and the chorizo pimento dip which I forgot to take a picture of. Everything was spectacular from the food and drinks to the service. I wanted the Makers Mark flight for my first choice. They didn't have one of the three and the manager came over and explained that they were missing one of the whiskeys and apologized. Totally unnecessary but very appreciated. I will absolutely stop here again and try the full food menu next time we're in the vicinity. There were so many good looking dishes on the menu but I had my heart set on dinner in Philly at a different establishment for tonite. read more

Visited this location for the first time on a summer Saturday night around 10ish. Chill, outside atmosphere! A good spot to hangout with my friend during the pandemic. The restaurant had people spaced out well outside. The servers were friendly. The restaurant had paper menu and their drink menu is digital. I ordered the cutest margarita drink in a plastic patron bottle that you can take home. It was a bit strong. I also ordered their empanadas that was pretty trash. There's no other way that I can describe the taste. I ate a half of one empanada. I wanted to like it but every bite made me upset. This was not fair to my tastebuds lol! I would visit here again and try their other food selections. I was so turned off by the empanadas that I did not want to order anything else. read more

Been here multiple times with a girlfriend for brunch and lunch and really love it. Our server was super attentive despite us taking our time and they had all the windows open which made it such a nice vibe. It was shady but also breezy. The menu has a lot of really different options, it's definitely not your typical bar food. We got bacon bloody Mary's which are always excellent and candied bacon as an app. If you love bacon it's a must. This trip I had the poke bowl and I thought it was really interesting: everything was served deconstructed so you could build bites as you like them. Severely disappointed this week... Vola Pizza - chewy like wet stale cardboard (seemingly premade, recycled, or reheated with a few new ingredients tossed on top), the cheese tasting like cheddar and lost much of its elasticity, scarce orts of Prosciutto (a tiny few shreds), parmesan cheese that seemed a bit off - not really sure what is was, and a sprig or two of arugula (don't break the bank on this). The cost was outrageous for what is typically a highly rated favorite of ours. Don't know what went wrong - we would never order this again if this is the new way it is made. (0 out of 5) - $23.00 The Ahi Tuna was the worst selection of the whole dinner from a value perspective. Admitting the tuna itself was decent but the rice was seasoned incredibly ineptly - we could not bring ourselves to eating it. The first piece of tuna was tasted with the rice and it was shockingly mismatched. The clump of rice was tossed out entirely after that. The sauces were somewhat of a joke. The soy sauce was fine for dipping the tuna but the other two abominations left us questioning if we had Covid. A milky wasabi and some strange orange paste that looked like Old Bay in mayo with a touch of blandness. Cinder Bar destroyed the Ahi Tuna by its choices of terrible rice and selection of sauces. At $26 for 6 tiny pieces of fish, this was sadly purchased. (1 out of 5 - because the tuna was cooked perfectly) - $26.45 The best part of dinner was the roasted beet salad. Pleasantly enjoyable with candied walnuts, goat cheese, a green mix, and ample supply of chopped beets. If any complaint here, it would be the amount of sweetness caked on the walnuts - it was over the top but may appeal to kids (we'd recommend roasting the walnuts and losing the coating). But on a whole, the only good choice of the evening. (4 out of 5) $13.80 We've included a picture of our bill which after door dashing and including a tip we paid $90. The bill shows the over $60 gourmet price tag for what tasted like under $30 at Walmart or in a gas station's premade refrigerated section. read more

Tried for the first time a few weeks ago and went back a few days ago. Servers and service is great. Their apps are on point. Always live music with a great selection of carefully crafted drinks. They have taken a simple empanada and made it one of their signatures and customer favorites by baking not frying it. My family can not get enough of Cinder Bar. We love their wood-fire oven pizzas, including the truffle short rib. Some of their great sandwiches are the apricot grilled cheese and the jersey PLT, both of which are to-die-for! The service is always friendly, and even though there is usually a wait for a table, the food comes out quickly. I forgot to mention our favorite, the truffle fries, we get at least two orders for the table to start every single time we go. Finally, if you are over 21 they have a really nice selection of beer on tap as well as speciality cocktails. We tried the blood orange margarita and we're pretty obsessed with it last time. Glad we have a staple like this so close. read more

Ok lets start with the good. The food that we order was cooked perfectly and tasted great: cannoli french toast, bang shrimp and al la mode french toast. Service was good and the price was reasonable. They had plenty of seating and the decor is nice. If you drink they have an extensive me u full of cool beverages and they have a good selection of mocktails. We enjoyed our grapefruit and passion fruit refreshers. Now for the not so good... they lack diversity in serving staff and the menus are not reflective of a diverse clientele. They have very little healthy options if you dont eat pork breakfast products, no beef no turkey no chicken no alternatives. We were forced to either buy a appetizer shrimp or cold salmon lox. Kind of ridiculous in 2022 but it was indicative of a lack of diversity. read more

Past by the Cinder Bar in Williamstown many times and we finally had the opportunity to try it. Walking into the place I was pleasantly surprised. The place is huge with some interesting seating choices for groups. There are TVs all over so I can just imagine this being a great place to watch a game. The over all decor was very rustic and cool. The service was great. Our server looked into my wife's allergy and was able to determine that her meal choice was fine. She came back frequently to check on drinks. For dinner I had the vegan cheesesteak which was very good. One of the better ones I've had. It came with french fries which I thought were fine. We also ordered the Siracha deviled eggs which were good but definitely not as spicy as I'd like and overall ok in taste. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the other options. Personally, this place is overhyped. Every time I go here, I leave disappointed with the food I received. The wait times are always extremely long (which would be fine if it was worth the wait). I tried the margherita pizza which was subpar for the price and size. Also tried the misto salad which was okay- also not nearly worth the price or wait. I am not a fan of waiting for a table that doesn't have much atmosphere. Went for an early dinner with my daughter. I honestly wasn't over impressed that I felt the need to go back. I had to wait 20 minutes for a table in the outside covered area. We were sat next to two larger parties that seemed to get more attention than the tables around them. We ordered pizza that was ok, but no wow factor that would bring me back. It was loud and impersonal. I may try again if I got to sit inside and try a different area of the restaurant. read more

First time going to this place, the decor was nice a good mix of people, the food was really good except for the wings, I prefer them fried crispy but these seemed baked, just my preference, the drinks were top notch and so was the service, definitely coming back with my family. read more

Thanks for helping to ruin Mother's Day! The website makes it very clear that they don't do reservations and that it's a first come first serve basis only. There's no mention of an exception made for Mother's Day. The only thing they offer is the Yelp Waitlist option. Well, I plan to use that for the morning of Mothers Day. Guess what! A half hour after they open, I get an alert saying it's been turned off. We get there and are told they were, in fact, taking reservations and the wait at 10:45 would be 1.5 hours.
