The food we had was delicious. Our server was friendly and timely. We ordered the short rib poutine as an appetizer. The peach glazed salmon w/rice was beautiful and tasty. The interior has a modern industrial decor with brick walls and nice wood tables coupled with booths and chairs. I really wanted to try the pistachio cake so I ordered a piece to go. We were lucky enough to join friends on a Saturday mid-afternoon. Perfect timing with the lunch time crowd thinning out so we scored a table by the cozy fireplace seating area. Loved that we were able to talk without having to shout. We really enjoyed being able to choose the small plate portions and liked everything. Our dessert was fantastic. Definitely the go to place around here! Me and my husband love Cinder Bar! There are 2 large bars, 2 large dining areas and a really chill lounge area setup where guests can enjoy drinks and some good food! Music is never too loud but loud enough where you can catch the song. Staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable when asking about the menu or even their favorites. So here's what you really want to know: 1. Relaxed dress code... but you can definitely snazz it up if you want too because the ambiance allows it. Kid friendly as well! 2. Parking... plenty of it! If you plan on going for happy hour especially on a Thursday or Friday get there early because they fill up fast! 3. Food & Drinks... when food walks by you - you can smell it. For me that is key! It's hot and leaves the kitchen the same way with simple rustic style clean plating. So I always get their wings fried with sauces on the side (Korean BBQ & Sweet Thai Chili). Sauce on or onside ... the wings are delicious! The wood fired MVP pizza is defiantly a go to but if pesto isn't your thing the Margarita or Truffled Short Rib pizzas are also delicious. The Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Short Rib Poutine, Beef Empanadas & Sriracha Deviled Eggs need to be on your bill at some point ... lol If you're looking for something a little more heavy the Prime Rib Dip, the Short Rib Cheesesteak, the French Onion Grilled Cheese or the Chicken and Waffles all are full of flavor and won't disappoint. Drinks... The bartenders get high marks as well because the drinks taste the same every time regardless to who makes them. Want something light- try the Strawberry Cello Margarita, want something heavier but still smooth, try the Brown Butter or the Toasted old-fashioned. In the summertime they have different sangrias that are all really really good! 4. Server ... All the servers are great dont get me wrong but ask for Stephanie M. SHE IS AMAZING!! We never feel rushed or forgotten about. She runs her tables like clock work while still managing to answer any questions or to have a quick convo in the midst of a busy night. 5. Desserts... so I'm not a big dessert person but the Gelato Flight & Carrot Cake should also make it to your bill in addition to a warm coffee with Baileys topped with whipped cream ;) Oh and some nights they have live acoustic performances and an awesome DJ on Thursday & Fridays. My most recent visit to cinder bar was sadly disappointing due to our server. First off our meal came out less than 5 minutes after putting our appetizer on the table. Which caused our meals to be room temperature instead of hot. We had to wave her down to refill of water glasses. We had friends join us separately and was given one bill without asking and then had attitude when we requested two. We again needed to ask about ordering dessert. Ample parking Came for a meet-up w/my cousin on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We were instantly seated near a window and we had the perfect view of the skydivers. Our server was attentive to our needs and wants. He was helpful with meal suggestions and dessert (John) and when our cups got a bit low, he was making sure to ask if we wanted more. The bar area is very nice and stocked. Seated area was big enough that we weren't sitting on each other and enough room to pull your chair out without tapping the person behind you. First time to Cinder Bar, been wanting to go and today was the day. We went Friday at 11:30am pretty empty which was great . I ordered the Tuscan chicken with truffle fries. My husband and I came in last Friday night for date night, we had been to Cinder Bar a few times in the fall and a few years back and weren't thrilled and decided to give it another shot. We sat at the back bar with Sam and OH MY GOD she is just amazing. She made the best espresso martini I have ever had but besides that it was the best service that I have ever had at any restaurant! We had let her know we had been in back in the fall and asked if she was new and she let us know she was on maternity leave and usually was the bartender for out there, which you can absolutely tell why. As other couples started sitting it was clear that they all knew her as they all greeted her by name. She had given us recommendations for appetizers which we did the bada bang shrimp and pierogies and when we got the pizza she asked if we wanted it well done which no one has ever asked before, and it was the best pizza I've had there! She was so social with us as well as all of the other customers at the bar and didn't skip a beat even. We will absolutely be back in just to see her! read more

Recently restarted Happy Hour M-F from 3-6pm ... and now you can be seated anywhere in the restaurant for HH menu! We got the half-priced margarita pizza, short rib poutine, cheesesteak egg rolls, sriracha deviled eggs and pierogies ... all washed down with some blood orange margaritas and excellent craft beers. I absolutely adore cinder bar! Not only is the food delicious, but the service and ambiance are too! The menu us exceptionally good with amazing drinks and appetizers to choose from, i would recommend the truffle fries and cheese steak egg rolls. Me and my daughter always come here to get the cheese pizza. Although it wasnt on the menu, we requested a cheese pizza and got it with no problem. Its absolutely delicious and I would not go anywhere else for it! My daughter also enjoys the Nutella pizza which is jaw dropping because of how good it is. Honestly, some of the best pizza ive ever had! The waiters are so kind and quick to serve the food. They never complain, even on busy days, and they get food to us as quick as possible. The ambiance is a classic vibe with multiple TV to watch games and more! It has a rustic almost city like vibe to it, which i love with the cool music. Had name in for table and was meeting a couple. Dropped wife off at door and she met our friends. When I walked into door after parking car. Security guard told me, $10 cover after 7. It was 7:02. I said my wife and friends are already waiting for table to eat. They said it didn't matter, $10 cover. I'm not paying $10 to eat on a Friday night. It's a restaurant and it wasn't 9PM. It was great to see this super open airy restaurant so close to where I grew up. Even better was the fact that everything was clearly labeled. They even labeled some keto items which is rare to see! My Dad and I enjoyed the vegan cheesesteak. It was delicious and the bread tasted so fresh. We are all of ours. The cocktail menu was pretty extensive and there were tons of beers If that's your thing! I had Prosecco and then a cider punch. Both were great for enjoying on their patio. The service was quick and friendly. I hope they add some more vegan stuff for when I visit NJ again. Maybe a vegan cheese? You can keep it in the freezer I'm pretty sure :) We had a great time. We visited here on an early Saturday evening, around 6ish, we were able to be seated right away. The staff and our server was friendly. We started with the candy bacon, it was good but small portion, 3 pieces of bacon between 2 people was not enough, suggest 5 to 6 pieces. For entrees: we had the Apricot Grilled Chesee sandwich with a side salad, that was the best grilled cheese I ever had.. the blend of the apricot spread and the cheeses on the brioche bread was perfect. I would visit again just for that. We also had the chicken and waffles, also enjoyable. The turnaround time from ordering to delivering our dishes was superfast, a little 2 fast. I would have preferred a few minutes breathing time between appetizers and the delivery of our entree....however I would much prefer to have it fast then waiting for extended periods of time between courses. I went back and forth between ok and good, but decided on the 4 stars because nothing was WRONG. First, I was really surprised at just how "un-busy" it was on a Friday night. We got there around 8ish, and there was no wait, and a fair amount of open tables. Cinder Bar is your typical bar and grill; dimmed lighting, dark wood hightops, young female servers, bar-standard american cuisine, a few large flatscreens showing a sporting event, etc, etc. It ticked all the boxes. Not that any of that is bad, just very familiar. We sat down and looked over the menu. Menu is a decent size, but still didn't have many options, if that makes sense. Like, even though there are a variety of dishes, there is only ONE burger. There is ONE chicken sandwich. Still, there ARE options, and we cobbled together a meal of the following: Fresno Chicken sandwich for me, with a sriracha deviled eggs appetizer, and a lobster mac and cheese (an app), with another app of ricotta meatballs for the Misses. A toasted old fashioned for me, and a lemoncello martini for her. The server, who was fine but not memorable, brought things out as they were ready. I will say I feel like the drinks took a little longer to hit the table than they should have, but maybe that's just me. *shoulder shrug emoji* The deviled eggs were first, and they were fine. Three deviled eggs with a sriracha spice kick, topped with red bell peppers and scallions. They were tasty, AND the cheapest thing on the menu, but even at $4, I was like, "meh." Not bad at all, but just not anything to write home about. Actually, that description probably explains the night. Lobster mac had toasted (and a few burnt) cornflakes on top, I guess for texture. The combo tasted fine, but smelled weird. (Go burn some cornflakes, and see if you agree.) Again, overall score of "meh." Italian meatballs didn't taste like anything. 3rd meh. My chicken sandwich was cooked well, but just didn't have a real flavorful punch, even though it had a peach jam and some bacon on it. I couldn't taste the smoked gouda AT. ALL. You guessed it....meh. Dessert was a different story. We did the PB&J donut, and that thing was freaking delicious. It was a donut, topped with a strawberry compote and peanut butter mouse, served with vanilla ice cream. That thing got devoured. We also both did an espresso martini with dessert that neither of us really liked, but I will say this, they have a heavy hand at the bar. Every drink at least packed a punch. Despite not loving the espresso martini, I had no problems with the bar. So, $117 later after tip, we left with full bellies; pleased with our meal, but not blown away by our meal. Again, it certainly wasn't bad, and I would sure be back to try their one burger, or a pizza out of their brick oven. read more

Second time, and two days before Halloween (and after waiting an hour) 90% of the room was closed again because of the "event planner". And their event area wasn't half full.
